What can you do with a 7 yr old boy when your babysitting him? Thanx in advance!

Bring a movie such as Finding Nemo or Shrek. You could bring coloring books. 7 year old boys usually like sports, so try having a soccer ball or baseball for entertainment. in case something goes wrong, keep an emergency number close by. it could be the parent's cell phone number or whatever they give you. make sure you keep him happy, or he will probably bug you. if you have any good board games, bring them. make sure the games are fun for all ages. if you're staying late, bring a bedtime story and read it quietly to him.

i brokeup with my boyfriend but ONLY because he lived so far away and i never got to see him (everyone thought it was because of another guy but it wasn't) and ive been an emotional wreck ever since then, it was like 2 months ago and i still cry like at night and even somtimes if i start thinking about him during the day i go to the bathroom and cry during school... i'm just really confused. i mean, i don't know if i want to ask him for a second chance cuse i dont think i can stand never being able to see him all over agagin :-/ but i really want him back, and i still love him :( what should i do?

you should talk it over with him! long distance relationships can be hard, but they aren't impossible. tell him that you still have feelings for him. if he wants you back too, discuss ways to make it work. maybe you could arrange to meet at least two times a month, maybe on a weekend or during a break. call him more so you can talk about what's going on in your lives. if he doesn't want to go out with you again, it's not the end of the world. if he doesn't feel the same anymore, then it's not true love. of course you would be crushed, but you could get over him. Write your feelings in a journal or have a talk with your best friend. over time you'll learn to let go. i really hope he still has feelings for you, though! if you work at it, you can make the relationship work.

14/female Okay well this is going to be long, so I'm just going to warn you ahead of time, but please help. Well, a friend of mines mother has tumors in her head. Well about a month ago they were removed and there was this tube thing that the doctors put in her. Well less than a week ago the tumors came back and she had to go to the hospital for surgeory. I was pretty close w/ my friends mom and it's hard for me and one of my other friends to deal with it, and so were thinking about how our friend who's going through it is feeling. Well the girl who's mother is in the hostpital (Brittany) is being checked for tumors, and we just found out that she has one and will be getting her head shaved. Well a few of us girls (about 5) and a few close guy friends (about 10) were thinking of shaving our heads/cutting our hair really short. If you were the girl Brittany, how would you react to that? Would you think it's kind of mean/too hard to handle, or do you think it's a good gesture? I am so willing to do it because it's such a great friend, but I want some other opinions, the guys are defninitley doing it, and I got her a bunch of x-mas gifts and we've talked a lot. Brittany is very sensative when it come to her mom and her own problems and we think she'll either be sooo happy that she'll shed some tears of joy, or sooo sad that she won't be able to face us 'bald'. I know you guys don't know her, but if it were you, how do you think you'd respond. Again, I apologize for the lenght, I just wanted to add some detail, and sorry if it's confusing I tried to make it not confusing, but it still sounds that way to me. Thanks in advance for any help.

That is a very nice thing of you to do! She will feel more comfortable around you if you have short hair too. whenever you have your short hair and talk to her, act like it's nothing. she will feel better about her situation, because she has her great friends at her side. =)

I have been going out with my boyfriend for 3 years and I live with him now. Well, he wants a kid really bad and I told him no because I'm almost 20 and we both work at MAC. And, MAC doesn't really pay us good. And obviously, you need money to have a kid. I'm on BC and have been for like 8 months and somehow I lost my pills. I'm organized, and I dont misplace things hardly ever and I think my boyfriend stole them. I'm getting more pills tomorrow but I just KNOW my boyfriend stole them! He hasint talked to me in two days because I accused him of stealing them. Why does he want a freaking kid so bad!? I dont want to break up with him, its been 3 years and I dont want to throw our relationship away. But what can I say to him to get his mind off kids!!!

He wants to have a family so badly he isn't taking in account of your feelings towards this. You two are very young and have your whole lives ahead of you. You should try hiding your birth control pills somewhere, maybe even a locked safe or something with a code. Explain to him that your living situation isn't right to raise a child. A child is a LOT of responsibility, money, and dedication. You need to be making enough money first, so you know you can support a kid. He's so concerned about having a family that I don't think he's realizing how big of a decision that is. You've got to be the barrer of bad news here, but it's for your own good as a couple. Tell him you really care about him and maybe would like to start a family sometime, but right now isn't the appropriate time. =)

I have this bump on my armpit and my mom says its a razor burn, and i looked it up & it says the bumps can stay for 6 months-1 year. What can I use to try and get rid of it?

use some lotion. next time try to shave up, and don't press too hard. if you are conscious of it right now, don't wear short short sleeves for when you raise your hand in class. =)

I have been friends with this guy since the end of October.. We talk a lot, and at first I didn't like him "that way" but every day I begin to like him more and more. He has told people that he doesn't know who he likes, or he likes 3 people and I'm at the top of the list. My friend told him that I like him (with my permission) and he sort of just blushed and wouldn't answer any of her questions. If I am at the top of his list, and he knows I like him, why doesn't he just ask me out? What should I say to him? Or should I just wait patiently for him to make a move? Thanks

Aww! I think he likes you, but he's just a little shy. Give it some time, maybe he will ask you out. If he doesn't, try flirting with him then ask yourself. He could be unsure whether to or not because he likes two other girls. the best thing to do would be to ask him out first. if he says no, ask him what the matter is. if your face to face with him, you should get a straight answer. if he says yes, then shyness most likely was the case. i think he likes you, so i say go for it. =)

using two condoms isn't extra protective. i think you need to talk to her and let her know you care about her, but you really don't think she's ready. if she wants to have sex that bad, make sure she knows different birth control techniques that have a greater chance of working. =)

I have no idea what to get my Dad for christmas. I'm a female and i'm 15. So my first question is does neone know any awesome tennis stuff that's like 20$ that I could get him? Or i was also thinking about making a picture frame for this picture i have of him, my brother and I. So Does neone know how to make an awesome picture frame that doesn't include to much construction paper and popsicle sticks? thanks!! Sorry for the lengthy..ness!

For the tennis stuff:

-tennis racket cover
-a pack of tennis balls
-a new racket

for the frame, it's really the thought that counts. you could use popsicle sticks as the base. buy candy such as jellybeans and put it around the edge. you could also add foam shapes, macaroni, ribbon, or seashells that you can get cheap at a craft store. make it creative and unique and im sure he'll love it! =)

i think he's just saying he loves you to get you back. don't tell him you love him if you really don't, because problems could arise. he could tell everyone how much you love him when actually you don't. talk to him and tell him firmly that's it over. if he doesn't get the picture, ignore him. he will realize on his own sooner or later. =)

Go to Column Settings on the menu and change the look of your column (like the colors and style.) to get more people to ask you questions, just answer questions here. people will come to your column and ask for help. dont expect them all to come running right away, but give it some time and they will. =)

O my Gosh. I’m in a big problem… so I have liked this guys (lets call him J) for about 4 weeks….but the other night at a party I was hanging out with him and my friend and I were talking…and J was telling this other guy who he liked…and nodded his head toward me and my friend…but that same night I got a crush on his guy…lets call him p…and so at first I didn’t know about J because I didn’t know if he liked me or my friend…and then I found out he liked my friend, and she likes him too…but I still like J…and I like p too…what should I do? And Christmas break is in 3 days, what should I do over the break to keep in touch with P-the single guy? I don’t even know his screen name. I need to get it from a friend . I want to hang out with him over break(but i dont knwo how to like ask him to so ocmethign with a group of frineds)?. I want to hang out with J too. well since you think j is already going to be taken, work towards getting to know p. if you feel shy talking to him by yourself, bring a friend and ask for his s/n and number. Ask him about his hobbies and stuff and tell him about your own. Once you get his number and s/n you can talk to him a lot more (like over christmas break). Maybe on the phone or something you could use 3 way and ask if he wants to hang out with a group. if you don't have 3 way you could ask before break. once he gets to know you, he'll see your true personality. You can go from there. If things don't work out with j and your friend, you could go for him. but for now you should aim for getting to know p better. good luck!! =)

i feel fat. like everyone tells me that i am skinny. i am 5'6" and 108 lbs. I know i am not really overweight, but i have tons of fat. i allways feel self consious, and i have noticed myself getting more and more concerned about how i look. i am afraid i might develope an eating disorder, or just become depressed about it. that is like all i ever think about anymore. help

I'm glad you realize what you're thinking can turn into something serious. The best thing for you to do right now is find someone to let your feelings out to. It could be a best friend, a parent, a school guidance counselor. It helps to talk about what's going on. It's a really good thing to catch the symptoms early, so you're right for writing this question. =)

Okay, I've been asking this question on a few columns, but I'm not an advicenators member and I need a lot of opinions! I am so sorry that this is so long! Okay, well, my ex broke up with me a few weeks ago. We didn't really talk after that... but then he was over at a friend's house and was talking to me on AIM... and I blew up at him, and I was so mean to him... I felt like such a loser and I felt so bad so when he left his friend's house and got onto his screen name, I apologized. Then, we started talking normally... but then I felt all of those "feelings" coming back. We're just friends now (that actually talk now! lol) but I don't know if I should tell him I like him or if I should get over him (or if I should just keep it a secret). Thanks so much!

Aww I think you should tell your ex you still have feelings for him. It's always a possibilty he feels the same, ya never know. If he doesn't feel the same anymore, that's ok, you two can still be good friends. It'll take some time, but you can get over him. It's a good sign that you guys are still friends after the break up. This shows great commitment. I hope he feels the same, and good luck!! =)

ok exactly 1 year ago from this past saturday was the start to some scary a$$ sh*t..vases flying off walls,rooms being completely rearanged..yes i mean everything moved to a new place,moans & cries coming through the heat vents at night..oh yea scuri..but we got the house blessed and after about a month it stopped..
so we thought..

well like i said exactly 1 yr ago..we're siting in the living room and i hear a scream..i look over n my friend is sitting,pale as a ghost looking up..a shelf that has been on the wall since we moved in is in mid air oh yes i mean FLOATING..was there for about 30 seconds then crashed to the ground..well that night there was banging coming through the vents..then today i came home and my bed is soakin wet ..like not water..but a sticky liquid..enough to fill up half the bathtub..their was literally puddles..and it smelled like death..oh yea and even better my moms room was dry..however u culdnt walk into it and breathe at the same time b/c it smelled so strong like mens cologne

please some1 b serious when you answer this..im so not kidding about one single word i typed..i was just a little freaked out..but now im scared..especially after i saw it floating & the liquid..out nowhere..please any advice or if any1 has a paranormal story to share.. i just need a piece of mind..

OMG you need to contact a priest or someone who deals with things like this right away. you need to tell them everything you just typed. don't hesitate to get help because the sooner you do the sooner this problem can get solved. i don't know much about ghosts, but i do know poltergiests are violent and throw objects around a room. you must be so scared now just hold on and get help ASAP. let me tell you something i do know, you've got to remain calm or the ghost will be even more encouraged to do this to your house. if you haven't kept your parents up to date make sure you do at all times!

if you like him, you should tell him! if he rejects you, remember that there's other guys out there. if he likes you back, that's great! when you tell him, ask him not to tell anyone. if he's a good guy he will respect what you say and keep it a secret. if he ends up telling anyone, then he's not worth your time. that would be really low. if your friends find out, you'll need to have a talk with them. tell them you really don't want them to make fun of you because it means a lot to you that they keep quiet. They might start laughing when he walks by or something, but that's just a girl thing, you know? the only thing you need to wrry about is if their joking gets out of hand. then you'd have to question your friendship with them. are they really true? you shouldn't be afraid to tell this guy you like him because you never know, he might like you back!! =)

i used to have the same problem! you need to get to know the guy you are dating better. Maybe before you try going out you can get to know each other and get close in friendship. when you're around him don't concentrate on how you act, but more as getting to know him better and just having fun. imagine him as just another friend so you can feel more comfortable. I think if you try you can get over it. =)

I like this guy and he knows I like him. We have never talked before, it's just kind of a crush. Since he knows I like him, its really weird because I always see him looking at me. I thought it was in my imagination so I asked my friends to check if he was indeed looking at me. They said he was and it wasn't my imagination. Sometimes he walks by me for no reason, and my friends and I have even caught him checking me out a few times. Why won't he come up to me and talk to me? Is he afraid? I'm not scary, lol. And I thought about it and...why would he stare at me, check me out, and walk by me for no reason if he DIDN'T like me? He has to like me just a little....or maybe he thinks I'm a freak. :-( ....I sure hope not. HELP! What should I do? I really want him to talk to me, and I don't have the guts to do it myself!

He sounds soo interested in you! I know you aren't too keen on the idea of talking to him, but if he won't then you should! If he's showing this much interest, then there's nothing to be afraid of. He is probably too shy to talk to you, so he'd be glad you did it. Ask him what was for homework or if he's interested in the same things you are. I don't think he thinks you're a freak, he just likes you but is afraid to talk to you.
