Question Posted Tuesday December 14 2004, 11:04 pm
I have no idea what to get my Dad for christmas. I'm a female and i'm 15. So my first question is does neone know any awesome tennis stuff that's like 20$ that I could get him? Or i was also thinking about making a picture frame for this picture i have of him, my brother and I. So Does neone know how to make an awesome picture frame that doesn't include to much construction paper and popsicle sticks? thanks!! Sorry for the lengthy..ness!

Instead of using pasta however, why not cover it with little circles of paper or cardboard and then colouring it like tennis balls? Or make a little racket and stick it on. You could also print out some tennis pictures off the computer or cut some out of a tennis magazine if your dad has any.
If you want to buy him something tennis-related, then your best bet is tennis balls, or maybe a pair of those little wrist sweat bands that tennis players always seem to be wearing. [ FernGully's advice column | Ask FernGully A Question ]

Balls (I know boring!!) or those little weights that you put on the strings to slow down the person's swing..how about half hour of a tennis lesson? Or ask your mom is she will go half on something. Check out Dicks or The sports authority for his favorite maker athletic wear. [ dinoold's advice column | Ask dinoold A Question ]

You will also need some tile glue and some grout, which you buy in a powder and mix. You can buy these things at a craft store, but it is cheaper at a home improvment stote. Then break up the tiles, make a design on the frame, and glue them down. Wait a day, and grout the tiles. Wahlal. You have a cool personalized frame. You can also use glass beads, you can get a bag of 20 at walmart for less than $2. You can mozaic mirrors, and tables, vases, whatever. They make great gifts. I go to garage sales in the summer and buy interesting dishes and break those up. [ jbdreamer's advice column | Ask jbdreamer A Question ]

-sports bag
-tennis racket cover
-a pack of tennis balls
-a new racket
for the frame, it's really the thought that counts. you could use popsicle sticks as the base. buy candy such as jellybeans and put it around the edge. you could also add foam shapes, macaroni, ribbon, or seashells that you can get cheap at a craft store. make it creative and unique and im sure he'll love it! =)
