I have Bipolar 1 Disorder. I hate taking all these medications and always going to doctors appointments, but life is too short to let mental illness get the better of me.


Often times life is a challenge, and nobody knows that better than me. I wake up wondering if this is going to be a day my illness overpowers my meds, and either sends me flying like a bat out of hell, or leaves me laying on the couch like a wet dish rag.


Thank all that is good in the world that I have an excellent support system at home.

I'm honest, and that can either be a perk or s flaw. Depends on how you choose to look at it.

i may have oral cancer. ive had these weird little bumps all over my mouth, and if they were cacker sours, they would have gone away by now.

does anyone know what the symptoms of oral cancer are, what will happen during it, how to treat it, that kind of stuff? im really scared, and i would like to know everything that you know.

Well, you can't just assume you have oral cancer. The bumps in your mouth have to be first checked by a doctor, then if they feel it necessary, you have to have a biopsy done.
That is the only way to find out if they are cancerous or not.
So if you think they may be cancer, you need to go to the doctor. The sooner you go, the better chance you have of treating it.

So yesterday, pretty much this morning, around 12:30-1:00 I had sex with my boyfriend. I lost my virginity to him and I don't regret it. We had a little to drink and then just ended up making out...and one thing lead to another and we had sex. It wasn't to painful and didn't realize that I had bled until I took a shower this morning and noticed my clothes. So yeah, we didn't use any protection but he said not to worry he didn't cum. I'm kind of nervous but not too worried about it, I just really don't want to get pregnant. We had sex for about 5 mins only; maybe evben less. Do you think I should get the morning after pill or am i ok?

No matter how long the sex was, no matter if he actually ejaculated (which you can't always trust...) pre-cum still contains sperm. Not as much as semen, but enough. It just takes one strong swimmer to do the trick.

Even if you and your boyfriend are both virgins, you still need to use condoms. Even on birth control. It is wise to start the habit of practicing safe sex. Condoms are the only thing out there that protects you from STDs.

I'm not going to tell you weather or not you should get the morning after pill. I don't agree with them at all, therefore making my opinion on the matter biased. That is your own personal choice to make, not ours.

Spotting can happen during pregnancy.
You need to get tested.
Your local health department will test you free of charge if you don't have the funds.

okay this is like somethingg i really need advice on and the more the better..

story:
okay so my grandmas neighbors who my whole family is really close with and have been my whole life. okay well the sonn has been getting in alot of trouble recentaly. for DWI, overdosing on pills and the whole nine. well today when i was over my grandma's the police brought him home bc he has aniexty pills and had taken an entire bottle in one day adn left the house to go to a friends house, and his mom called the cops to find him and stuff. bc they were worryed bc he has been threating sucide and everything. like today when he got home his mom was telling him that hes gonna die if he keeps doing this and he goes death is what im hoping for he alway had taken 120 pills in a matter of 5 dayss. its badd.

now a little background on the kid
he was adoptedd. bc his parents didnt think they'd be able to have kids. but a few years later they did they had 2 girls. his dads a police officer so he was rarely ever home. and being that the 2 girls were her actual kids his mom paid a little more attention to her daughters then to him. but he never new he was adopted adn to this day im not 100% sure if he nos for sure. bc his parents never told him. when he was younger he had a hell of alot going for him he was a crazy good runner he could of went to any college he wanted, but he ended up getting mixed in with some bad ppl andd all that went down the drain. his mom also is having an affair. nobodyyy really noes about it but my grandma and like my family. but i think he might have found out about it. but idk

now what i need advice on..

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but he needs therapy.
Not by a friend, but by a professional.
I know you want to help him, and it is a wonderful thing, but the best help you can give him is to convince him to go to therapy.
What are you going to feel like if you try to council him yourself and he ends up committing suicide? You will feel guilty, at fault. That is too much to be putting on your 15 year old shoulders, no matter how mature you are.
You can't risk damaging yourself to try to save someone else. It is a very noble idea, but not wise at all.

Honestly, no matter how anyone answers this question, we can't tell you weather or not he will like it. We don't know him or anything about him. So your guess is far better than ours.

how much are weddings usually and does anyone know how to actually start planning one out? or have helpful tips?....

Well, weddings don't have a normal cost. It really depends on how much you spend on it and how big and fancy you want it to be.
My wedding cost us maybe $200. But my parents bought my dress (we got it at a bridal discount store for $125) and my husband's family paid for, and made the food for the reception. His aunt got the wedding cake as our gift.
Other than that, we just mainly got the little stuff, such as reception decorations, cups for punch, plates, plastic utensils, etc.
Our wedding was very small, which was what we wanted. We see it as it isn't the wedding that is important- it is the marriage.
But some folks like to start their marriage in debt by paying thousands of dollars. Some spend $4000 on the wedding gown alone.
So it really depends on what you and your soon-to-be want.
As for starting the planning, start with where you want to be married, who do you want to marry you, guest list, what you want to eat at the reception, or if you just want punch and cake, making invitations, who will be in your wedding party and ask them if they will stand up with you. Then move on to dress, wedding party attire, decorations, etc.

Well about two years ago I hyperextended my knee, and ever since then it hurts if I bend or twist it in a certain way, or if I just keep my knee in the same position for a while.
So I got an MRI a couple days ago
and the results came out as, that I
torn a ligament
and I have fluid built up in my knee.
Does anyone know how they will repair this?

Please tell me everything.

You will most likely have to have surgery to repair it.
My sister-in-law dislocated her knee cap recently and if her ACL is torn, which it likely is, she will have to have surgery by an orthopedic surgeon, go through physical therapy, and will likely take 6 months to recover.
I know all that sucks, but it is well worth getting your knee fixed.
I don't know about the fluid, but I assume they will drain it during surgery?
Always ask your doctor any questions and concerns you have.

I sure hope you use condoms. Otherwise, you are putting yourself at an extremely high risk of getting STDs.

yeah im one of those skinny chics who think they're fat, andive always been that way. one time in eighth grade i was just sooo sure that i was fat, even though people told me i wasnt, i guess i thought they were just lying to make me feel better, but eventually i stopped eating so i could lose weight.

i didnt eat for a whole week i went from 135 pounds to 105 andi still thought i was fat! my parents were sooo freaked out that they almost hospitalized me but i gave up the anorexic diet because i thought it was doing no good cauze no matter how much weight i lost i still thought i was fat.

right now im eating at least 2 meals a day and ive gained a little weight back but i still think im fat and i was just wondering what this disease is called.... i know when u stop eating your anorexic and when u force yourself to throw up thats belimic, but all of us have the same problem we think we're fat so what is that disease called?

I don't have much to add.
I just want to say I agree with the person who told you to see a doctor about this.
Even though you gave up being anorexic, with the disorder you have, you have a high possibility of starting it back up again.
Anorexia and bulimia, I'm sure you know, are VERY dangerous eating disorders. They both destroy your body.
I just hope you seek professional help to avoid them.

I will tell you that he was my very best friend. We dated maybe 3 months, and then broke up. We thought we would be perfect for one another, but ended up the opposite.
Are we still friends? No.

hey hows it going? I recently moved into an apartment with a buddy of mine from work. he has a one year old male cat by the name of domino. he and his cat have been living alone for about three years now and he says to the best of his knowledge his cat has never been around any animals since he has had him. now I also have a male cat who is around the same age named sweety boy who is one of the most friendliest cats you will ever meet. now here is the problem, me and my friend have been trying to think of a way to introduce the two cats to each other and get them used to being around each other. we have only put them together once but when we did both cats viciously attacked each other and became really agitated for quite sometime afterwards. we have kept them separated since the incident and they have both been acting really weird, his cat is always hanging out next to the door to my room where my cat is staying, and my cat wont go anywhere but my bathroom or under my bed, I think it is because they both know that there is another cat in the house and they can smell each other. my question is what is the best way to get them used to each other? and is there a way to get them used to each other without either one of them getting hurt?

Well, the problem isn't that they know there is another cat in the house. The problem is that there are two TOM cats.
Toms don't generally tend to get along well. They fight for dominance. Once one is found to be the dominant male, then things may cool down.
Also, another problem is that you aren't introducing them on neutral territory. Your cat is invading his cat's territory.
I don't know how to solve your problem, and I hope someone can help you.
I just wanted to let you know what is causing the problem.
If nothing else, talk to your vet about it.

A couple of weeks ago I noticed a change in my bf's behavior... he started acting like my affection was bothering him, and it felt like he was avoiding me. When we were together he was silent or he would talk about stupid unimportant things, as if we couldn't have a meaningful conversation anymore. He was so distant, but every time I asked him what was wrong and why he was acting differently, he would go mad and say that I was creating problems when there were none. So I broke up with him, and it was a hard decision. I thought he lost interest in me and I didn't want to be a burden. But ever since he's been telling me that his feelings for me haven't changed. Actually that's what he says, but he's still acting weird. And when I told him that my decision was final, he didn't even seem to be mad or desperate or anything like that, he just said he didn't understand why and that he hoped I change my mind.

I don't know what happened between us... it was so sudden! I'm afraid that I pushed him away, because I wanted to be with him all the time, and that maybe he wanted a time out... but if he loved me as much as I loved him, wouldn't he want to be with me just as much as I wanted to be with him?!

Don't be so quick to assume you were the problem.
Maybe he was having issues of his own that had nothing to do with you?
Maybe that is why he became so distant, not wanting you to be involved in it?
There are many possible reasons that don't involve it being your fault.
If he has such great feelings for you, then he needs to tell you what is going on. If he doesn't want to do that, then sadly the best choice is to just move on.

ok well the other night me and my bf were in a fight and he got really mad and grabbed my arms and started shaking me. i yelled at him to stop and he did, and then later we worked out what we were fighting about. but anyway. i told my mom about it and she said i shouldve left right then and told him if he ever did anything like that again it would be over. and she still wants me to tell him that, and ya i know shes right. but now i feel weird about bringing it up cuz it happened a few days ago and everythings fine now. so do you think i should still say something about it? and how should i bring it up? or should i just wait and see if it ever happens again and then tell him that? we've been together for 2 years and thats the first time hes ever done something like that.

Well, the simple fact is he assaulted you.
Why wait for the next time? If it happens again, do you realize you are apt to say, "Oh, we worked it out, but if it happens again..."
Honestly? I don't think you should tell him anything but "Goodbye."
Why? What if 2 years from now, instead of getting angry and shaking you, he just gets angry and caves your face in? Will you leave, or be to afraid to?
Keep that in mind.
I'm not saying he will do it again, but if he assaulted you once, there's a good chance he'll do it twice. Three times. Fifty.

i got the frizzcure and it ruined my hair. worked more like a straightener instead of a frizz remover. i now have lifeless, frizzy, raggy hair. it is very long betwen my bra strap and my rearend. i was told by another hairdresser that i will have to cut off at least 3-4 inches of dead hair. i am devastated. i've been growing it our for 3 1/2 years so i can donate it for cancer patients! what can i do? the salon that did it gave me credit at the salon but didn't do anything to repair my hair- can it even be fixed or reversed? i want my curls back- i have none!please give me advice on what to do. thank-you.

Well, you need to cut off the unhealthy hair. If you want to donate your hair, you will just have to be patient until it grows back to cut off the required 10" needed to donate to Locks of Love.

As it is, the dead, ruined hair is no good for donation. They need strong, healthy hair. You have really no choice but to cut off the hair and start over. :(

As for what you can do, since the salon gave you credit, apply it towards a deep conditioning treatment.
Purchase a good deep conditioning treatment you can use at home weekly. They will be able to tell you a good brand at the salon.

okay so i stupidly put a tie dye shirt in with a bunch of cloths including 2 white shirts...

well one kinda turned a little pink but it doesnt bother me to much but i took that shirt and the other one that got wrecked and re washed them with bleach and laundry detergent well that made it worse on the back of one of my white shirts its like a yellow color? is there any way to restore my shirts back to white? how should i do it?

Considering your white shirts are stained with dye, there really is no way to get the color out.
You could try to re-dye the shirt, but it is a long shot to get them back to white. You would have much better luck dying them a color.
A good clothing dye is Ritz dye.

I'm a tomboy and all the girls at my school wear the same types of clothes from the same types of stores. All the guys that I like went out with all of those girls. They liked me but wouldn't go out with me so I don't know if it's because of me being a tomboy or what. I mean I'm not a complete tomboy,I wear some of that stuff every now and then but not all the time,so I don't know if I should just be like those girls or what. Well,also I wasn't popular and they were,so maybe that's what it was. I know you're not supposed to change who you are but I don't know what to do.

If you change who you are in the hopes of gaining a boyfriend, you are being a fake.
When you do that, you are doing harm to yourself, because you slowly lose parts of who you really are. you don't want to do that.

A guy who will choose one of those types of girl over you really isn't a guy worth your trouble.

I promise- there ARE guys out there who dig girls like you. You just haven't been looking in the right places.
