how can i give him that extra boost of confidence to actually hold my hand or more..?

I agree with the answer below me, this can work both ways. He doesn't have to be the one to make a move. If you want him to do something, why not trying it out on him first?


I think YOU should hold HIS hand. This way, you're showing that you're comfortable doing more, and this shows him that you'll be ok when he decides to make a move and hold yuor hand or whatever.

I always used to sleep with my mom. She would lay in bed with me. I am currently 14, and she still does. I tried to tell her i dont want to and she listened but i was up all night, couldnt sleep and started to cry. I feel pathetic, and idk i want to know how to feel more...independant. thanks

First off, don't feel pathetic. I'm 16 and I still sleep with a night light =X


Anywho...like Mangy said below, it's probably a security issue. It's all in your mind. Try having your mom lay with you until you fall alseep, and then letting her go back to her own bed or someplace else.


Either that, or try sleeping with a night light, or your door open or a teddy bear or something else that can help give you a sense of security.

You can't "like someone who likes you but you don't like him." You either like him or you don't. You need to figure out if you DO like him, or if you DON'T like him.

If you DO, then go for it. If you DON'T, be honest with him about it and don't lead him on.

So, I'm dating a man I've known for a long time. I'm white and he's black. When people see photos of us together or hear about him, for some reason they always have to comment and say things like 'Oh he's black..." or "I'd never thought /you'd/ date a black guy."
I don't understand what the problem is personnaly, I love him and he's so fantastic.
I was wondering though, when you see a white girl and a black man, what do you automaticaly assume or think? Just interested to know.

If 2 people love each other and want to be together, they should, regardless of skin color and the opinions of others.

I really like this guy/girl, and I want to impress him/her. Do you have any tips?

First of all, I'm going to say the best way to impress somebody is to be yourself. I know that's it's so cliche, but it's honestly, the best tip I or anybody can give.

I mean, you don't want somebody to start liking you for the way you think THEY want you to act or talk or dress. Why would you want somebody to like you when you're not even being yourself?


Secondly, don't be shy! Just go up and talk to that boy/girl. Confidence is key. Strike up a conversation! Start it with something like, "I see you're wearing a Hit The Lights [or whatever band/sport's team, etc] shirt, are they your favorite?" Or, something like, "So I know we've never talked before, but you seem like a really cool person..."


So be yourself, and show that you're comfortable being just that. Be comfortable in your own skin, and chances are, you'll impress everybody.

I know this sounds totally cliche, but just be yourself! Just talk to her, and be yourself. You don't want her to start liknig you for how you act when you're not even acting like yourself.

Well the story goes, I really like this guy and he has told me he likes me aswell! I actually think im in love with him, he is the first person i think of in the morning and the last thing at night! we spend everyday on the fone to each other, thing is a few people have told me they think he might be gay and that is whats stopping me going into a relationship with him
do i just ignore those other people and go into a relationship with him?

Have you talked to him about it? If not, I'd suggest talking to him about it and finding out if he is, in fact gay.


If he's not, then heck yes I'd go for it. If you have feelings this strong for someone who has them back, why wouldn't you go for it? You are the only 2 in the relationship, and nobody else.

Hey. Ok so like, last week or something, I put a question on here about a black and white room. I want to change my room when we move. Well, I had my heart set on doing black and white and some other color, but I totally forgot about my dresser! It's wood. And it wouldn't look good at ALL with black and white. So I'm now considering like, cheetah print. It would go good with my dresser. So does anyone know where I can find some animal print stuff like that. More cheetah than zebra or anything. And I'm 15/f. I would like pretty cute stuff that I can have fun with. And any other ideas are totally appreciated!! Thakns!!!!

i really love the name laken, aiden, brayden and braylen.. out of these boys name witch do you like best.. and does anyone no diffrent spelling for these names.. most importantly laken .. people say if i change the spelling it turns into a girls name?

I know a girl named Laken, and I've always thought it was a really cool and unique name [regardless of gender].

I'm still in high school, but I know I get straight A's in honors classes, study hard and am FASCINATED by science. Particularly the human body and how it works. I was thinking about what I'd want as a career, and nothing else comes to mind other than medicine.

ANYWAY...for those who know what med school is like, is it really as hard as i have read in articles? Long hours studying, constant stress? I'm a hard worker and a competitive student, but stress overwhelms me. Is med school REALLY that hard?

My mom is a registered nurse, so she obviously went to Med School.


I was kind of young, but what I remember most is her studying A LOT! So I'm guessing yeah, it must be pretty hard studying wise. It takes a lot of time and effort.

My mom did get stressed, but it wasn't a constant thing. Like, before her tests or whatever, she'd get stressed out, but other than that she wasn't too bad.


Also, if you're working hard now and putting in a lot of effort in your school work, etc, you're on the right track. My mom loves her job, though, so if you DO decide to go to Med School, you'll probably never regret it ;]

This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen. I've read it over 10 times and it never gets old.

The Realm of Possibility by David Levithan. It's really unique and I loved it.

I absolutely love the clothes and styles at Victoria's Secret.com but i also cant afford to shop there all the time. so does anyone know of some different stores that sell the same type of clothes at cheaper prices. One of my favorites is wet seal but besides that, i have no idea. Also does anyone know of a store that sells cute dresses like the Victoria's Secret ones. (oh and i already know of Hollister and American Eagle, etc so besides those)
