I'm a senior in high school so of course I've been thinking about college. I decided that I want to become a dentist. Does anyone know what I should major in for that? Or the courses i should take?

Pre-Dental is probably the major you want, though Pre-Med could still work.

sooo ok dont judge me because im asking this. im completely normal, i just love my boyfriend so much. weve been dating for 2 years and he suffers from schitzophrenia and he refuses to take medication because he hates the way it makes him feel. i feel so horrible 4 him because he is in so much pain and its just getting so much worse. i know he doesnt want to live anymore. yesterday he asked me to kill him and at first i didnt think he was serious but we talked for a while and he said it was the only way or he would do it himself. i dont want him to go to hell for committing suicide so i told him i would kill him so id go to hell instead. i havnt decided if im going to kill myself yet because my boyfriend says he doesnt want me to do that. but i dont know if i could deal with the fact i killed the boy im in love with. but what happens if a 16 year old kills another 16 year old who asked her to do it? jail? death penalty? psychiatric center forever? im not crazy im just putting the one i love out of his misery because i cant stand him being in pain any longer. id rather be in pain for him. just wanna know what would happen. dont try to do all that talking out of it and stuff either. wont work. thanks

While your intentions may be slightly honorable, they aren't to be executed.

Do not kill your boyfriend. I'm sure there are other meds that he can get if he's feeling bad when he takes them.

Suicide and death are NOT the answer. How would you feel if you killed him, and then right after, you feel sorry for doing it. You'll be crushed. It isn't something you can take back. It's a permanent decision.

Not only will you live with guilt, you'll live with the legal consequences of murder.

It's not worth it. Really, it's not. Take your boyfriend to a doctor.

hey this is the same girl with the lifeguarding question:

i just wanted to add, on his last day working i said something like, "this is my last day working with you and then i don't see you for a year!" and then he answered, "thank god!"

also, the last time i saw him he told me not to be the "village bicycle" and then he walked away! it just seems so insensitive/an assholeish thing to do to me if he liked me! wouldn't he have been just a little bit affectionate since he wouldn't see me for awhile? especially since i gave him a hug i would expect him to hug back...sorry it's just difficult to fathom it all.

i am lifeguarding this summer and this guy jake who is 18 and my manager keeps teasing me. i always thought he kind of liked me because my first day of working he would do almost ANYTHING to get my attention. he started teasing me about little things (ewww gross what is that you are eating?) but now it's gotten a lot worse (i heard you gave tim a blow job!) he also orders me to do stuff and clean things and says i'm "whipped" aka his bitch. He also asks me if i'm a virgin (which i told him i am) and if i think he's hot and asks things like, "would you rather have sex with matt or me?" now other guys who i work with start teasing me, nothing as intense as that but still bad like, "i heard you had sex with josh!" or other things. this girl i work with says for me to not listen to him or other guys and that they just want to get reactions out of me. i'm not fat and i'm definitely not ugly so i don't see why they are doing this! jake doesn't act like this with any other girls (even girls he likes) so WHY is he doing this to me?

also on rare occasions he actually talks to me and tells me personal stuff (haha like how many kids he wants...what he is doing the next day...how it bothers him when he hangs out with some girls they don't put forth an effort to look good and don't wear makeup because they see him as a friend and only that) and is nice to me but what is up with the random mood swings??

another thing that has happened is i asked to take off of work and he demanded why and then i told him i was going on a date with this guy and he kept asking who and i finally told him. the date wasn't for a few days but he kept asking "how was your date?" everytime i walked in.

p.s. he left for college today and i was like "bye, jake have fun in college!" and gave him a hug and he didn't hug back he just left his arms open and was like "AHHHH!" (like in disgust) and then as i was walking up to the stand he said, "BYE KELLY!"

he came in later that day and saw me sitting on this guy's lap who was really into me and he was yelled at me "you whore!" (the whole time i was mouthing "help" because i really was not interested in the guy at all and wanted to get away from him) i explained this to him later and another guard was listening and said, "she's your girl why don't you do something about it?" this same guard earlier today told me "i bet in college he is going to find someone just like you to yell at and mess with!" i am sooo confused with what he thinks about me, and why he and other guys mess with me! advice please?

This dude is sporadic.

I think he picks on you as a defense mechanism, because he's trying to be macho and not really show that he likes you, but give you attention at the same time.

Ask him if you REALLY want to know.

I am SO incredibly afraid of bugs. Any type of bug can really freak me out. Usually I end up crying and feel like I am going to pass out. I end up with wanting to throw up, too.

I know most people aren't so afraid of insects. I mean, my fears goes as far as harmless bugs like butterflies. I simply do not want their legs to touch me. It freaks me out to even think about their legs crawling on my skin.

The most I could come up with was a fear since infancy, as I was taken to the hospital because I had SO many insect bites on me. The doctors just informed them that I was more allergic than most people to these bites and needed to be kept away from times I would come in contact with bugs. Of course, I don't remember ANY of this, but I do remember growing up and having HUGE welts on my body from where a bug had bit me. They usually hurt and itched so it was terribly confusing.

I grew up always wearing long pants, usually long sleeved shirts if I could manage it, and practically bathing myself in OFF bug spray.

I still have this fear though and was wondering if there was a way to overcome this or if it was something I just have to cope with for the rest of my life. I've dealt with it so long now. It's really embarrassing, especially when it comes to be dodging butterflies and stuff that I KNOW is completely harmless.

Any advice? Even if someone is like me, knowing I'm not alone in this is very helpful...

Honestly, I'm the same way. I don't douse myself in OFF, but I do freak out if a fly or a bee comes like 5 feet near me.

I literally run away if a bee gets close to me or any insect gets near me. I am VERY afraid of them. I think it's because one time I was little at a football game, and I had a hot dog and I put ketchup on it, and a bee stung me because it smelled the ketchup. Pretty much since then, I just FREAK out. Like, I will run away, and I might start crying.

Maybe it's irrational, but we all are afraid of something. Heights, the dark, dying, failing, marbles, etc.

I guess my point is more "you're not alone!" than "here's what you should do".

Honestly, I don't know of a solution, since I'm in the same boat with you, and I'd rather just be afraid of them the rest of my life than get on medication or something.

The first columnist basically told you everything there is to know, but I wanted to rephrase and maybe add a little bit more.

Basically, you take notes on the book, on ANYTHING you feel like. Like, if someone trips and you think it's funny, you could write yourself a note about it, like how it made you feel.

But, it's probably best if you take notes on major plot points, themes, motifs, characters, and important things.

This way, if you have to quote something later, you can check out your post-it/sticky notes, and you can find the quote really easily, or the part in the story where something happens.

By the way, I didn't know what annotating was until my friend Laura told me she had to do it for her AP English class.

I'm 15/f and my friend is 15/f. My friend constantly talks about herself. She will relate stuff to herself, or her clothes, or her grades or the sports she plays. It seems like whenever I am with her it's always about her. I will tell her something that was funny or what happened to me and she will give absolutely no feedback. She'll relate that thing back to herself or she'll go on with her story or interrupt me. My mom and sister tell me to ditch her because she's so self conceited. My friends also get annoyed about how much she talks about what clothes she bought. Our neighbor, who has met her, even said she was very self conceited. She also knows I don't get the best of grades (or atleast I thought she did) and one day she flipped out about getting an A- on her final with me standing right there. I want to tell her how I feel or just put her in line. I want to tell her "Hey sometimes I matter too!", but i'm not sure how to put it in nice terms. Any advice?

Sit her down and say you wanna talk about something.

Say sometimes when you're talking, or actually, very often when you're talking, you feel like she doesn't care about what you say, and she just finds something to say about herself.

If you say that, and she still doesn't get it, maybe being her friend isn't worth it.

I have a best friend who just admitted to me that she was bisexual. I don't really card if she's bi or not though it's just I told her I was curious and didn't know if I was or not.
