Q: i have to read a book for english and i cant decide on what to do.

the only main requirements are that it has to be atleast 200 pages (no more than 300 please) and at our reading leve (10th grade)

my favorite book is the giver but i cannot read that because it is too short and i like books along that line.

i like more true to life kind of books with relatable characters and i dislike things like harry potter and lord of the rings

any suggestions? please if you name a book give me a little background info on it!

First of all, Gathering Blue was excellent so that would be a very good choice.

Last year, (9th grade) I read Boy's Life and it is more than 300 pages, but it is such an easy read. It is sooo interesting. It is in the point of view of a young boy, in a small town, where a muder happens. I personally LOVEDDD IT!!

This year, (10th grade) I really enjoyed All Quiet on the Western Front. It is about 20 year-olds fighting in WWI. It's a lot of pages, but it is also an easy read.

Q: Is AP environmental science difficult? [I'm taking this class in high school, and I'm asking about the material, not the AP exam]

Of course, all AP classes are difficult and require a lot of outside work. However, if you are determined and you keep up with the homework, I'm sure you'll do fine. Also, if you find out you have a test coming up, it is best to start studying 3 or 4 days in advance.

Q: I have really bad love handles. What is a way to get rid of them?

Crunches, crunches, crunches!! Side crunches, front crunches, crunches with your feet straight up, and crunches with your feet slightly off the floor.

Also, keep in mind, that genetics take a huge part in the amount of weight you can lose and what you can look like. But, doing 20 crunches in the morning and at night will make a huge difference and make you feel better!

Q: I'm 14 years old and I want to find a summer job. Any suggestions?

It shows a lot of entusiasm that your already looking for a job at the age of 14. Good job on that! Some things you can do are be a bagger at a grocery store, be a camp counselor, babysit, or take care of plants/pets for neighbors while hey go out of town during the summer. You could make flyers and go around the neighborhood and pass them out.

For night make-up how shoul you apply eyeliner(black) around the entire eye..or just one lid or what?

For night time, I think make-up should look a little fancier.Soo, I would do a somewhat thick line on the top, and a much thinner, yet still noticeable, line on the bottom.

Q: My parents are hosting a huge gala tonight at our house. Which outfit should i wear?
-Strapless pink cynthia steffe sheath dress with gold bangles

If the party is really fancy, then i would go with the dress. But, if it is more casual, I would go with the second choice with high heels.

Q: I have freckles all over my face and am thirteen years old. three questions-
- are freckles considered pretty in today's society?
-what are some good techniques (ie: masks, serums, ect)
-good makeup to cover them up?

Girrllll you need to learn to embrace your freckles! I got'em and I love em. I think society looks at them in a positive way. Be sure to wear sunscreen on your face though, if you don't like them. Also, any liquid make up coverup would cover up your freckles, if you choose to do so, like covergirl.

Q: so you know how on some water bottles have the nutrition facts on that back?(like the poland spring one) well it says the servicing size per container is 2.5 ..i heard that you have to drink 8 bottles of water so do i have to drink 8 servings of that water bottle in order to be healthy? thanks

Yes, 8 glasses of water is about how much you should drink. However, it doesn't really make sense that a 60 pound child would have to drink 8 glasses and a 180 pound man would also have to drink the same amount as someone 1/3 his weight, right? So some doctors say that if you drink water based on your weight. This is how you do it: (your weight)/2. For example, if you weigh 100 pounds, then you should drink about 50 ounces of water a day.

Q: ive been going out with this boy for about 3 years now..im kinda getting bored and annoyed with him and i think i like someone else...im not sure how to tell my boyfriend that i dont want to be together without hurting him to much. i still care about him its just i just want to be friends and im not sure how to put it..could you tell me what to say without hurting him too badly??thanks

Three years is a long time, so I'm sure you feel comfortable talking to him about pretty much anything. The time together will also make it much harder to break it off with him. You definitely need to talk to him about feeling bored and annoyed. Ya'll should try to work it out. I would also wait a little while before you completely break it off with him because you simply "like someone else." Make sure it is worth it and that you are willing to give up your relationship for this new guy.

Q: i need to compare and contrast boarding school and prep school.
i also have a few questions
*for BS, do you come home to visit your family on the weekends?
*PS has uniforms, right?

*For boarding school, do you have like a private room, or a private room and do you share it with someone else?

1) I think it depends on the location of the boarding school and the actual boarding school itself. With some boarding schools, you don't get to see your parents until summer and winter break.

2) Most private schools do have uniforms, yes.

3) Again, I think it depends on the boarding school. Some school are definitely stricter than others.

4) Usually, you share a bedroom and a bathroom with at least a few other people. However, some schools may offer private rooms for more money.

Hey, okay, so you are obviously unsure about what to do because you came here to ask for advice. This insecurity is important because it shows that you're probably not ready to have sex. However, if you do decide to have sex, then that is your personal decision to do so. Just be sure to know the risks, and make sure you truly have feelings for this guy. Don't let him influence you; you need to decide what to do for yourself.

If you talk to the girl online or on the phone, it will not have as much as an impact on her. By talking to her in person, it would be less likely for her to upset you again. However, you do take the risk of getting hurt more. I would still suggest talking to her in person, though.

uhh what should i get//make for my parents...? im stumped! i have noooo idea. my mom said she doesnt want any appliances like coffee makers or vacuums (b/c we get her that like ever year *giggle*) i want it to be like kinda a surprise...and my dad.. im clueless! btw do you guys know where i can get cole?!?! i want it for my lil sis =)

Haha yeah I saw that you get coal at CVS. But, if you don't have that store where you live, I'm guessing you could find it at Walmart or Target.

For you mom or dad, you could always paint or make them something. Like last year, I painted my mom a vase and made a pencil holder out of an old can and paper. Or, you could do the corny thing and make them each a little coupon book with things they would like. (examples- back rub, doing dishes one night, vacuuming, cook dinner)

Nope, it's not true. Cancer is something that is usually caused internally. So, putting deoderant on the outside of your body can not give you cancer.

Q: i have 2 questions on GTA San Andreas

1.) even thouigh its not marked on ur map, can you still go to the driving school in San Fierro. I have the island unlocked. Where is it?

2.)in San Fierro, where is the Avispa Country club?

1) It should be near the garage that you start off in at San Fierro. And yes, you still can go to the driving school.

2) It's in south west San Fierro. It's on the main map that they give you with the game.

Yes, it does work very good. However, my natural hair is already light blonde. I tried it on my friend who has light brown hair, and it also looked cute because I only used a little amount.
