I think it pretty much depends on the school. My friend works at a prep school (fellow rider) and they have uniforms. For boarding school, you may be able to come home if its close enough, some boarding schools have uniforms but some don't, and you probably have to share a room with at least one other person.

1) I think it depends on the location of the boarding school and the actual boarding school itself. With some boarding schools, you don't get to see your parents until summer and winter break.

2) Most private schools do have uniforms, yes.

3) Again, I think it depends on the boarding school. Some school are definitely stricter than others.

4) Usually, you share a bedroom and a bathroom with at least a few other people. However, some schools may offer private rooms for more money.

good luck & hope this helps- :)
