Im 13 & female. I have this friend "Jackie" and shes really cool in my grade, and were semi close good friends. We made plans for this sunday, to go to a mall together. And my mom is driving, and her dad/mom (i dont know exactly which) But she told me she couldnt go to this other mall beacause her parents are a little racists but shes not & i know shes not. But i feel a little uncortable with the whole idea, Im the same skin color as them (white) but im 100% against racism. and i've NEVER been in a converstation with somebody "like that". I know the subject wont come up, is there anyway you can help me see through and not be so shyish around them.

racism is a tough situation. i mean you know your friend isn't racist so the convo shouldn't really be brought up. juss leave it go & if it is brought up you can talk about it. don't feel uncomfortable about it & juss realize that there's nothing to be shy about anyways. you are the same color as them & its juss their opinion. juss because you guys have different opinions doesn't mean they won't like you er make things uncomfortable. you shouldn't worry about it.

Ok this is the most stupid thing i have ever done!!! ok well this guy was like can you hook me up with one of your friends but i actually don't want to because none of my friends like him so i thought ahh lets make him happy seeing hes done so many favours for me and my bf.so i was thick and i made a hotmail account and i pretended to be my friend which was actually someone off my friends myspace. Today I'm going over to my friends house and I'm doing her hair for a dance. She always wants me to straighten her hair because I do it right lol.

Anyways, her hair is thick and wavy and it stays straight for about an hour or so.

My question: What tips can you give me so her hair can stay straight. I really don't have time to go out and buy products, so I need tips.

my cousin is a hairstylist & she says that it completely depends on the straighter..like there really isn't any tips on how to straighten it. you should use a thin ceramic plate straightner. she has the type where its ceramic but it's water proof so your hair could be wet. she straightened my hair when it was wet (cause my hairs really curly) & it came out perfectly straight & even lasted over night & she did it at like 4pm. if you don't have those, then juss try going really slow & start from the bottom hairs, like the back and tye the rest up, & keep working your way to each section.

Well, I just got an acoustic guitar for Christmas, and it came with a book but I can't figure it out. I also tried looking online, but I can't find anything that's easy and that fits what I need to know. I need to know basicly the very, very basics. Like how to hold it, which string are supposed to be where and how they are supposed to sound, and other stuff along those lines. Can you help?

I just got out of a breakup after a year and a half with my boyfriend that I am absolutely in love with but it just cant work out. I'm 17. Any ideas of getting over him?!?!

i'd say to go out & meet new people. if you truly juss wanna get over him, i wouldn't talk to him er anything. that doesn't mean totally blow him off but don't be friendly & flirty. that could probably make things worse. try new people, make new friends, etc etc. you said you're in love with him but if you're sure it can't work out then you don't want to get hurt even worse, ya know?? you might want to talk to him about this so he knows you juss aren't being his friend cause you're ex's but because you still have feelings for him. he'll probably be able to help you.

so my periods been really weird latley. i had it in december, but i dont think iv had it since then. im kinda worried because my boyfriend and i mess around are both of our "areas" whave been near eachother but we have never actually had sex. I am also very underweight though. I know that being underweight can mess up your period. So i was wondering if its most likley my weight or if theres a chance im pregnant? thank you! (i rate high!)

you're only pregnant if there was sperm obviously. if not then i highly doubt it. i think since it's been 2 months since december, you'd probably have some kind've idea if you were pregnant, but some ppl may not. if you're totally worried you can either get a pregnancy test er go to the gyno. being underweight er being stressed out definately messes up your period. some girls juss tend to skip months, but it's kind've irregular to skip months in a row. also, if you're doing a lot of physical activity that could mess it up too. i'd wait until march & see if you get it & if not then go to the gyno about it. if you're really worried then you should go now.

Okay well this dosent really go under Fitness, But i didnt know where else to put it.. here goes..

I have a "mole / birthmark" on my nose, its like where a piercing would be, and im really self consious about it. It's really noticaable but not really big but its normal sized. When People Say things about i i just laugh it off but i HATE it there. Is there anything That Can Hide it, and am i unlucky for having it? Pleae help me out. thanks so much

try getting different cover ups that match your skin tone. you could actually get it removed if you really hate it & want to go to the extreme. my friend gets birthmarks removed & nothing ever went wrong but you never know i guess. the only other thing you can do is cover up. you have to be careful with the color you get though. there's usually testers at the store you get them. here's a website-

in december i got my period, and then a month later in January i got it on time. then, it came very lightly stwo weeks later, and two weeks later normally again. then after that (this month) it came again two weeks later but only for 3 days and very light. now, a week later, its coming again but heavy. Ive only had it for a year, and i know it may not be regular, but im still worried.

is this normal? I will rate!

everyone's period is soo different. it's normal to be irregular, especially the very first year. if you're worried about it, you should go to your gyno. & make sure. you're normal though. there's actually a few girls that left questions that have the same problem.

i think i have spyware on my comouter because my computer has been so slow lately and it freezes alot. i deleted internet explorer because i dont use that and iuse mozilla but even though i use ad-aware, it doesnt work that much.. does any one know any GOOD programs that work very well and is free? or anything i could do ? thanks

if i uninstall itunes and then reinstall it, will all my songs be on my ipod when i connect the ipod to the computer?

yes, as long as you connect your ipod to your computer & the new itunes is open, the songs will convert to the itunes. what you should really do though is save all your songs er burn them to cds before you do it juss incase so you have them.
