Question Posted Saturday February 18 2006, 1:42 pm
so my periods been really weird latley. i had it in december, but i dont think iv had it since then. im kinda worried because my boyfriend and i mess around are both of our "areas" whave been near eachother but we have never actually had sex. I am also very underweight though. I know that being underweight can mess up your period. So i was wondering if its most likley my weight or if theres a chance im pregnant? thank you! (i rate high!)

It is possible that you are pregnant, remember it only takes one sperm to fertilize an egg, and there are millions in one drop of semen.
The first thing a Dr would do is to give you a pregnancy test. So in essence this should be your priority. If it comes back negative then you can try to discover the other reasons (such as being underweight). Even though irregular periods are not that uncommon, they should not be considered normal. DancinCutie08 answered Saturday February 18 2006, 5:45 pm: well if any semen got on your vagina there is a change you are preggo but its very small. it really all depends on your age and how long youve been underweight. ussually if your underweight it only chances youe period if youve gone back and forth from being normal weight and underweight. also it would just make you have your period later in life not neccesarily make it irregular. it would all depend on your age. if you in your teen i would say tis prob your weight but if your in your mid 20s or older i would say your prob preggo. either way you can take a preggo test to be sure because it can pick up a pregnancy at as early as 2 weekish [ DancinCutie08's advice column | Ask DancinCutie08 A Question ]
orphans answered Saturday February 18 2006, 5:40 pm: No sex- no pregnant.
If you do not have your period again by age 16 please see a docter.
Im sure its just irregular and soon it will get on track. But you could go see a docter, now if you'd like.
Or it could be late beacause your stressed out. [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]
clearlypink428 answered Saturday February 18 2006, 5:24 pm: theres a few different things that can make you miss one or two. but id say dont be too worried that youre pregnant- it's almost impossible that you are if youve never had sex. try taking a pregnancy test just in case though- if you havent had it in a month. if the results look good, then try to start eating right, and if all else fails after that- then id say go see an ob/gyn. hope i helped. Erinn_the_bamf answered Saturday February 18 2006, 4:04 pm: No, you are not pregnant. Unless, you have sexual intercourse there is no way you could be. It is probably just because you are underweight. See a doctor or gyno to get it sorted out. [ Erinn_the_bamf's advice column | Ask Erinn_the_bamf A Question ]
xomegaroni answered Saturday February 18 2006, 3:03 pm: you're only pregnant if there was sperm obviously. if not then i highly doubt it. i think since it's been 2 months since december, you'd probably have some kind've idea if you were pregnant, but some ppl may not. if you're totally worried you can either get a pregnancy test er go to the gyno. being underweight er being stressed out definately messes up your period. some girls juss tend to skip months, but it's kind've irregular to skip months in a row. also, if you're doing a lot of physical activity that could mess it up too. i'd wait until march & see if you get it & if not then go to the gyno about it. if you're really worried then you should go now.
