colors for braces!
hey everyone! im going to the ortho tonight to get my ties on my braces changed you know? well i had hot pink - total mistake. it drew too much attention to my mouth ahha. what color is the best to get? thanks!<33

Well I noticed that black makes the teeth look whiter :D and that pastel pink also looks good. I can relate that the hot pink might be a little bright!

i had braces and i know what you mean about drawing too much attention to the mouth. you can try light/soft colors like a baby blue or a light pink. white probably works best. you could also try light yellow but that might make your teeth look yellow haha so id go for white or light pink.

I have had braces for the past three years and I -never- have asked for a colour. I always go with silver.
Don't try using clear ones because they stain easily and look yellow.

i personally love just the plain silver =]
i think it brings out the color of jewlrey; like if you wearing silver hoops or something hah.
and it doesnt attract to much attention. and you dont have to worry about it matching with your outfits.

Always get dark/metallic blue. It goes well with jeans, etc.- just a universal color. You can try different colors to see what you like/don't like, but darker blues are the best. Green looks like you have food in your teeth, white/clear/glow in the dark just change color and make you look stupid (haha)...You can try dark metallic green or something.. Hmmm... Many other colors don't look good, so just go with the dark-medium blues.

Well, I myself don't have experience with braces, but most or all of my friends do. Icky colors like yellow, green, etc. are definitely a no-no! Also, neon or super-bright colors also attract too much attention. But don't be ashamed of your braces, cause a lot of people are with ya! My friend just got braces yesterday and she got pastel colors. Pastel purple, blue, and I think pink.. But they weren't vibrant in any way, they were actually pretty soft colors and they looked great.

I've never had braces, but some of my friends have. If your orthodontist can do it, my friend got stripes on hers. and then she got swirls on them later on. I would avoid really dark colors like dark brown and black, at first glance it looks like you have something stuck on your teeth. Try like Blue or dark green. They always look good

its too late now but for next time i found that the best color to get was blue, it doesnt draw too much attention and it make your teeth look whiter! Just make sure its dark blue and not light blue (light blue can turn into a yellow/green puke color lol) good luck brace face lol just kidding i have braces too!

i think u should get like a dark black or brown like or silver color. yea not the most exciting colors but at least its neutral and the dark color will make your teeth look whiter. and even if it does draw attention people will think that your teeth are really white. which is good =)
yea and never get white or yellow or clear caz it makes your teeth yellower which is gross

I know how you feel.
I first got baby blue, that was a big mistake. It also drew to much attention to my mouth.
What I have been doing ever since is just getting silver. It's the same color as the braces so it won't draw that much attention to your mouth.

OK first of all never ever ever get clear or yellow! It's just turns gross after a while. And definitly don't get red or black so I think the best would be a nice light green or blue. Maybe even a violet color. Good Luck! ♥

try going with a color that you have. i'd probably say a baby blue er maybe a really light pink. that way it's not bright & it'll match with a lot of your clothes.
