I recieved a notice to my inbox by a level 2 moderator to edit my information because it was false or be banned...
Now here is my question, While I feel everyone is entitled to thier own opinions. The information is indeed true I'm not saying it happens to everyone that they become pregnant in the first year of not using any form of birth control, I said it is likely.

I don't know who sent you that notice and I am not sure what and all transpired, but your answer as it sits now is very good and probably much more to the point.
The statistic may be accurate, but it could be considered misleading also, I suppose. You know the advicenators average is actually pretty bad. This year alone there are over 50 advicenators who posted that they had just started having sex and questions about the process... and then within 30-60 days writing about being pregnant. :(

Ok, I already wrote you something but we can add to it here.
The question was only on-line for a very short time before the man responded. The second answer is from the girl's father if you missed that. The web is a big place and he would only find that in such a short time if someone told him where it was posted.
You can believe what you want, but if you haven't read the newspaper stories and seen the fake guestbook entries on his site as well as watching the news clip, then you might believe her.
Her story doesn't make any sense and the fact s all add up to the same thing: If she was telling the truth, she would be in court. She isn't because she lies and she knows it. I am sure her lawyer told her that if she goes to court she will only win... The WORST parent of the century award for what she has done to her baby.
She should be in prison for how hard she has made that girl's life.
Would you want the entire country knowing if you had problems with your girlie bits? Imagine everyone you will meet for your whole life knowing your name and face and the rare condition you suffer from? Sound like fun? Would you want a mother like that? I wouldn't. My mother loves me.

If you are referring to the question at the top of the site currently it means just what the folks already answered. In this particular case it is one where the only people who don't see through the BS when they answered were people who didn't read the info on the link in the question.

How do you turn off a modem that has no off switch? we pulled the power cord and the cable cord and that doesnt work.. theres the phone line plugged into it and the internet? were trying to hook up a netgear router but.. it says to turn off the modem but theres no off switch? (link)

As per your feedback: How about sending the make and model number of the modem to me in a new question so I can look into it further. I have been doing this over 25 years now, and have never run into such a complication to something that should be simple.

As per your previous feedback: Pull the "phone" cord and see if the power light goes out. There are only so man ways to get power to the thing and there were some really inexpensive ones that were powered my the phone line. There are only so many wires plugged into the modem, so remove each until the power light goes out, then connect your router.

It is uncommon for the DSL modem not to have a switch. Have you looked in the manual to see if there are instructions for power-cycling the modem?
Please just pull the power cord and wait a bit for the lights to go out. All of the lights may not go off if the modem uses power from the phone line to power certain lights. The power or "on" light would be the only one to worry about.

Hi I'm from the UK.
I have a 9 year old daughter who is very distressed and upset and i'm hoping you can help me help her!!
I moved away from her dad in 1999 (before she was born) due to domestic violence and gained an interdict to stop him coming near us. Since we weren't safe in the area we lived in after my split with him i moved to Edinburgh in 2002 and have been safe and living life normally ever since, that is until May last year when he managed to locate us.
Within a week we had to be placed in a Womans Aid refuge for our safety and he believes we live down in London now.
Ever since though he set up websites in search of us using videos and information from my daughters health problems to try and locate us. Now the first two websites we managed to get taken down as it pertained to a minors safety but the 3rd (which my daughter stumbled on last night) has only been up for a couple of days.
I've spoken to the police who confirmed this is a source of harassment yet won't do anything about it as its online. My solicitor reakons since he doesnt know where our new address is we should simply ignore it but its easier said than done!!
He is definately abusing my daughters right to safety and privacy. He has invaded both me and my daughters privacy by making this site and has caused us great annoyance and anxiety. The very fact he used her name as his web address shows he is abusing her right to privacy. If it was more about him it should have been called JohnMackie.co.uk not http://www.Shannoncassidy.co.uk
My daughter deserves the right to live life normally and safely - she does NOT deserve her privacy violated in such a manner and certainly not be hounded by him. Please for the safety of my daughter help me get him stopped for good!!
I need help! This is affecting my daughter greatly!! She has only JUST started relaxing after the last spate of websites and now shes back to sitting in her room crying - She doesn't understand why someone would ignore her requests to take it down and leave her alone as she wants nothing to do with him at the moment.

I am not a lawyer by any means, but here is an observation that might be worthy to note:
Sadly, you made your daughter a public figure by airing her private (VERY private) business on a TV show broadcast to every corner of the Earth via sattelite and the internet.
It seems that if this ever went to court, that would be brought up.
I read everything you wrote and everything he wrote on that site and there are so many things that don't add-up. If this goes to court, those things will be made to add up and the truth will come out. I guess all that is left to decide is if it is worth the risk to you to have this all recorded in public documents.
If you were in the USA the paternity question would be a matter of rights. I am astonished that the courts of the UK haven't ordered a paternity test in order to decide the rights of everyone involved.
Seeing as the poor girl's privacy was fairly well destroyed by your parading her around on television to be made fun of by her peers I guess I don't see why an open letter to the girl is really that big of a deal. Perhaps this is why your lawyer suggested to you that ignoring it is the best course of action.
Imagine what it would be like if a father's rights group felt he was being persecuted by you and your family? There is so much more he could be doing to make his story heard. The more you bring attention to it the more likely he will get the backing of someone important who can force this into court. Just a thought.

Before you say you had naught to do with any of this, please remember it takes two to make a baby... and I believe it was you who took her on TV wasn't it? There are some legal issues regarding L2 moderators that will be keeping things as they sit, promotion wise, until such time as I get the situation figured out with my lawyer or I re-come the site to remove some L2 features.
Yes, there is a list of people who are first in line. It isn't hopeless, but it will be a steep climb.

Hi DN. You seem to be really good with cars. May I ask what will probably be a really simple, stupid question?
I drive a 1997 Ford Taurus. I got the car with 70K miles on it, 73K now. It runs really well. Minimal issues, my dad knew the previous, only owner, etc.
In the last month, the AC has basically sh*t the bed, for lack of a better phrase ;] Is my car simply running low on some sort of fluid, or am I out of luck? Please help me out. Use simple words if possible, but car talk is okay too, because my dad can decode for me ;]

Hello there,
There are a number of points in the AC system that can, and often do, fail.
There is a compressor that your car's engine runs when the AC is on, which makes the gas in the AC system change states and more importantly temperature. This is all the same basic system as the AC in your house, and your kitchen fridge.
Ok, now with a little more info, I could narrow your Ford Taurus air conditioning problem down a bit, but as it is I will give you the things to check for it all and that way the next person to see this in the future may also get the help they need. :-)
Here we go:
In my experience these are the most typical points of failure:
There is a gradual leak of the refrigerant. This is typically the number 1 cause of automotive AC failure. You will know if this was the case if the AC got progressively less cold over time.
If the leak is gradual, like once a year, many people choose not to fix it, but instead have their system charged with a new batch of refrigerant before each summer begins.
If you lost cooling in a day a week or a month even, then you should have whatever is leaking fixed without delay.
Quick note right about here: Don't, as in do NOT, attempt to fix this yourself. There are some do-it-yourself automotive AC repair kits out there, but they should be used only by those folks that seriously know their way around a car's air conditioning system.
Next we have some common electrical issues to contend with:
There is a clutch on the AC compressor that only engages to make the compressor run when you have the AC turned on. If anything happens to the circuit between the clutch and the switch to adjust on your dash panel or center console, then it doesn't start the compressor... end result of failure: no cold air.
Things that can go wrong with the circuit between the AC switch and the compressor:
Broken wire, broken switch (the one you are pressing to turn it on,) blown fuse or a bad AC relay, which is an electrically activated switch, usually located under the hood.
Fortunately, there is an easy way to see if the air conditioner compressor clutch is working:
When the compressor engages, it drags the engine's idle speed down a bit. Simply listen to the engine and turn the AC on. If you hear the engine slow down a bit, then the compressor is engaging.
WARNING: Don't sit there turning it off and on every few seconds. Refrigeration systems really don't like to start when they are too cool. Portions of the AC system will "ice up" (kinda, though it isn't ice like we use in drinks) and you can damage things by starting them again while frozen.
Rule of thumb is 5 minutes. Most modern AC systems have safety systems in place to prevent you from messing your system up in this way, but those system also fail from time to time, so keep this tidbit in mind for the future. :-)
Moving on... did the clutch engage? Ok then... it is time to go to the mechanic. Weekend warriors have no place in AC repair, and usually break more than they fix.
If the compressor is running and there is no cold air happening, then the system is either leaking or the compressor pump is bad.
What if the clutch didn't engage? Easy: Something in the wiring is not working... or the clutch is bad.
That about rounds out what you need to know at this point in time. There are other possibilities, but these are the most likely suspects.
Simple summary: No, you aren't out of luck... it is just a matter of how much this is going to cost you.

Hi there,
The following all seem likely: Check to make sure that you only have one fuel pump. Some cars have two or even three fuel pumps in various strategic locations. If there is another one, then check it out as well.
If the fuel pump is electric, then check to see if there is a breaker/overheat relay for it. If so, check and see if that is tripped, which would turn off the fuel pump.
Check your fuel filter(s) it is possible that the filter is JUST this side of being a completely clogged fuel filter... if so, adding heat to the mix can cause the gunk in the filter to solidify/gel and stop fuel from flowing.
If the car is fuel injected, then it is a good idea to have the computer checked to see if there are any helpful error codes being displayed.
It could be anything at all in the fuel injection end of things.
You don't say what makes it seem like it isn't getting fuel. If all you meant my that was that it doesn't start, then it could be a number of other things. Your engine needs these things to run:
Fuel.
Air.
Spark. (Unless it is a diesel)
Timing.
... I doubt it is timing, and airflow issues are usually easy to diagnose, so that leaves spark and fuel. If you don't know how, please have your mechanic sheck to see that when the engine fails it is still getting spark at the plug itself. If so, then we are back to chasing fuel gremlins. If not, then you have a whole new set of possibilities to run down.

Pick up the phone and call now. Talk to the boss, not someone else. If you talk to someone else it will look like you are avoiding the boss. Explain what happened here, and that you never had this happen before, and you feel stupid but you were really nervous and didn't know what to say.
If you don't call asap, there is no saving yourself at this point.
Trust me, I have been the boss. You don't call, you don't apologize, you get to find another job. Plenty of workers right now, you know? ;-)
Just pick up the phone and call your boss. Promise it will never happen again, and then make sure it never does. (The not calling part, not the being sick part... because you probably will.)

My computer and my camra are being a pain. See i would like to use my camra as a webcam, according to the websites selling it you are able to use it as a web cam with no extra needed things to buy to make this work. Anyways I have plugged the camra in thro the usb port and a screen pops up on the camra that say disk drive, pc cam and pictbridge. I selected the pc cam and tried to get it to work but the thing said there was one hooked to my computer. I have a Compaq computer and a Vivitar Vivicam 5100. My computer does have a program to install webcams in all image related things but i can't find my brand of camra on there so im sorta wondering if you might be able to tell me how to fix my little problem. The Nikon D-40 is a really nice camera, and you can get one for under $500 these days. Just have a look at this Google price comparison page:

... but have you considered the Nikon D-60? It is a better camera and can be had for around the same price. You can buy a D-60 for around $500... but if you notice, the Nikon camera accessories are very spendy and a lot of the digital SLR cameras in this price range sell for half a grand without even a lens!
Some camera shops have complete digital SLR camera kits for sale with all the accessories you need to get going and be happy with your new photo-cannon (not to be confused with Canon, sorry for the accidental pun) for one price.

i'm not sure if it really was a super soaker 3000, but my boyfriend told me last night, he never ever really got what he wanted for his birthday. even though he doesn't want it anymore, it would be nice to give it to him just so he got at least something he wanted when he was little. apparently, the websites say they don't make that water gun anymore. but i would like to buy one for him before his birthday which is coming up in a month. and i can't make more than 250 dollars.. sad, i know. does anyone know where i can find this water gun and buy it? Female, 14-
So me and this guy have messed around, and have been talking since then. Every time we talk I get butterflies. The problem is, he is 17 years old. And I am 14. My whole family knows him, but doesn't really like him. He always tells me how much he misses me and how much he wants to be with me. We aren't dating, but it does definitely seem like it. We are friends, and I trust him soo much, he trusts me too. But I don't know if he really likes me or what?

Well, I guess that the real question is: if you have "messed around" (Which can get him thrown in jail, by the way) and he says he wants to be with you... then why aren't you "dating?" What it sounds like from here is that he wants to have someone to "mess around" with and stay "single" so he can tell other girls he isn't "dating" anyone.
Sadly, an awful lot of people do this. Both guys and girls pull the same games.
I hope it didn't work out that way for you, but what you write here in this question sounds like hundreds of other questions that have been asked before, and the odds are in favor of it working out badly.
If by "messed around" you meant that you have had sexual contact (any kind, and yes it is all sex in the eyes of the law and most thinking people) then this young man is headed for jail if anyone finds out about this.
Please think about your future, and stop "messing around" with guys that don't like you enough to even date you. You only hurt yourself and the people that care about you.
