Hey. I'm 13/m and I accept none of that "teenagers don't know love" crap. Maybe most teenagers don't, but I'm not most teenagers. I had a friend from science class. Long story short, over the summer, I realized that I loved her, I told her, she didn't love me back, I experienced The Void, and pretty much every new true emotion, I couldn't get her out of my head, and then when school started, things were awkward. I can't think of any other way to describe it. It just felt awkward. Anyway, I talked to her about that yesterday, and she agreed. So now we just forgot anything ever happened and we're back as regular friends now. I had felt like crap for a really long time, and I seemed to screw absolutely everything up. Well, now that all this pressure is off of me, I feel a lot better and I'm back to my regular happy goofy self again. Which is good. Except I feel strangely empty inside. Just a tiny pit of blackness in my happy heart. It feels nothing like The Void at all. Just... emptiness. Why? What is it? What's all this about? Thanks in advance...

I think you're WAY TOO young to be feeling these emotions. Thirteen year olds should be happily playing in the fields of eternal bliss, not depressed over a female. You think you know what love is? Yeah, every teenager says, "I don't care what you think, I know what love is." I even said it. I come to realize four years later that I didn't. You let something get to you, you tried to be more mature than you thought you were, and now you're feeling down about it. Go do thirteen year old things. I don't know what you youngins do nowadays, but go and do it and stop moping around. You have your entire life ahead of you to mope.

Also, threats against advice givers is a bad idea. You're not big or bad because you've gotten people banned. I've seen people get banned because they report too much, so think about that as well.

This is probably a dumb question but so be it.

This evening, my left wrist is swollen on the outside, very painful to the touch, and slightly painful from movement. I don't remember falling on it, hitting it, or anything that might cause it to act this way, I honestly don't.

Has anybody ever had this happen to them/have half a clue as to what it might be? Also, is there anything I can do to reduce the pain and swelling? (Ice doesn't seem to be doing the trick)

Take some sort of pain medication and put ice on your wrist for about fifteen minutes.

really long story but i need all the help i can get!

well my X-friend, sarah, has a popular friend.

well they just became friends.

heres the story:

sarah and i made plans wedensday to do something thursday, she cancelled plans saying she was tiared and wanted to rest so i can come over tomorrow and she can by hyper.

so i said okay.. shure. tomorrows fine! but my sister is going up to look at colleges and so i need to know.. around 1045 or 11? and she said OKAY

and so we had plans and i was waiting for her to get online around 11 am because thats when shes always online.. so i said to myself "oaky she must be still sleeping"

"mom im not going to look at colleges with you and melissa, sarah can probally pick me up, worse comes to worse i wont get there." they said okay and left.

s0o i waited around untill 9oclock at NIGHT waiting for her to sign on, i called her moms house multipal times (said to call her dads house), her dads (no answer)and her cell phone millions of times. with no answer.

so then she finallu signed on about 10 o clock at night.. and
i said "WHERE WERE YOU!!!"

and she said "Katies house with tori, whats up?"

I think you should punch Sarah in the face for being such a bitch. Not really, but I doubt you should talk to her much after this. Popular people aren't all they're made out to be, and Katie will learn that. You should also find out who signed on to your name, do you know anyone who knows your password? If it's Katie, deffinetly don't talk to her again. Tori however, seems like a good friend. There wasn't much of that convo to show either way, but I think it's leaning toward good.

I'm turning 16 soon and I've never had a boyfriend, never been kissed. It's making me wonder if there is something wrong with me. Okay, I love to play keyboard but the thing is i've never taken a lesson in my life for piano or keyboard or anything.
I don't want lessons because I prefer to teach myself by ear, and the thing is I dont know how to actually read notes.
So I was wondering if anybody knew how to play "precious things" by tori amos on keyboard and if you could give me some tips on how to play or if you could tell me how to read the sheet music for it.

Are there any websites that actually work? Most are kinda bogus websites that don't really give me any accurate information.

You could go get some flash cards that have the notes on them. It sounds silly, but believe me they worked. I don't really know of piano music websites though, so try the flash cards for now.

It depends on what abusive words your mom is saying to you. If she is saying things like:

"YOU'RE A FAILURE AND A FUCK UP AND I HATE YOU AND I WISH I NEVER HAD YOU AS A DAUGHTER!!!"

...then yes you should find a hotline and tell someone. However, a lot of children nowadays think the simplest things are mental abuse though. If she's constantly grinding you to do work around the house, homework, not be out late, ect., then no that is not abuse. So before you do anything, make sure shes doing the example, and not just being a parent.

I'm sorry, but that is not abuse. It may not be the nicest thing in the world, and I'd probably consider your mom a little weird, but there is no hotline that can help you. I guess you'll just have to do as she says.

Stay with Bob. Fred is just a bigot and an asshole for ruining a friendship over something so stupid. Don't you ruin a friendship either over feelings though. You claim that Bob is your best boy mate, so you should stick by his side, not try and go after Fred. Hopefully things will end up working out between the two, but they may not. Just stick by Bob's side, that's the best thing you could do.

I went over to my boyfriend's house yesterday and everything was great except for when he was out working he said something about manpower and I (jokingly) said "where?" He didn't realize I was joking and we got in a fight about it. I told him I didn't mean it and I was joking and everything, but when we were on the phone later he said even though I said I was joking and swore to it that he still took it seriously and it really hurt him. (He works alot and he doesn't have a great homelife.)

So today he called me and we were gonna go to the mall with my friend and her crush even though he was supposed to watch a race with his dad at 6. When I got off the phone with him to go up the street to my friends to ask if we had a ride he called me back and said he couldn't go. Later, after calling his house phone and finding out his line was disconnected I called his cell phone and he said that he couldn't go because he was grounded because when his dad said he wouldn't take him to the mall he went off on him. Now his line is disconnected and I'm not allowed to come over or anything.

The thing is, I think Justin's still a little mad about what I said yesterday. He's acting different and upset or sad or something. I don't know what to do about it, because when I ask him what's wrong he'll just say nothing. I feel so bad about what I said and it's really getting to me that he's not acting the same. You shouldn't really feel bad at all. If he can't take a joke that wasn't even offensive or hurtful, then that's his own problem. If he was talking about how he missed a dead relative, and you said "Awwww, poor little Justin misses his (whatever)," then I could see him getting mad. But this, he's just being stupid. He'll get over it.

I'm jsut wonder exacally what i should expect from my boyfriend. How much time he shoudl spend on me, what he should do and stuff like that. He should spend time with you, but not every waking moment of either of your's day. As for what is appropriate for a fourteen and fifteen year old to do, well, go out to movies, hang out places, and some physical contact (hold hands, hug, kiss). You should have fun with what you do, but don't do stuff that your not ready for due to maturity.
