wat r som synonyms for the word 'said'? im writing a narrative piece for LA class n im really stupid with this stuf. i have:

and that is it. i checked the thesaurus on dictionary.com but it doesnt really help.

Commented, exclaimed, mumbled, pointed out, explained, whispered, yelled, shouted, declared, proclaimed, announced, revealed, answered, responded, etc. Why didn't you just use a thesaurus?

i have this boyfriend, he's basically a dork. he barely has any friends and he's just plain weird. and i kind of got myself stuck in a big hole where i said i would go out with him, when i didn't. but i only said yes because I didn't want to hurt him. now that were "going out" he makes me hangout with him almost everyday, so i can't see any of my other friends without making him feel bad. he calls my house about 10 times a day and he talks to all of my friends. i want to blow him off but im scared to death of breaking his heart. what do i do? and if i should break up with him, what should i say?

Honestly.

You should just break up with him. I mean, you don't get to hang out with your friends, and saying that you want to blow your own boyfriend off? That's a clear sign that this relationship needs to end. Just tell him you are really sorry, but you think it would be best if you guys would be friends. Hope all goes well :)

I'm going on my 6th cruise this summer. It's not the cruise thing I'm worried about, I'm used to that. It's that I really want to meet a guy there, and I know it's setting my sights way too high but I'm hoping for my first kiss (I'm 14, is it pathetic that I haven't had it yet?). Let's say I do meet a guy. Kiss or not, I'm worried about coming back. Either I'll come back and miss him, or come back and forget him, neither of which I want. And if I don't meet a guy, I'll also be upset. My first kiss or romantic ordeal on a cruise has been all I've wanted since, like, 4th grade. I know this isn't really technically a question, but maybe you could help me. =)

Every girl has their own romantic fantasies about how they want their first kiss to be or who they want it to be with, and everything just has to be perfect. I understand where you're coming from.

Not having hooked up at age 14 is fine. Everybody thinks you have to by age 12 or 13. But everybody is different and you will get your kiss when the time is right. And everything will be perfect, trust me :)

Okay lately I've been feeling extremely depressed. Here's what's been going on...

Ive just finished 9th grade and it's now summer. Well, half way through my 9th grade year after being in a private prep school (one of the top in the nation) my parents pulled me out because I felt like I didn't have any friends. So they pulled me out and put me into a magnet public school with the IB program, and I've made like only one friend here too. So now that I am realizing that the problem is more about a change from me than a change of a school, I feel really stupid about making my parents change my school as I honestly do not feel much happier here, and I wish they knew what was best for me and just made me stay at the private school. Question is...what do I do for next year. Stay in the same school, go to a different private school, I'm not sure. & what should I do to feel happier and less alone. I literally spend every weekend with my parents/on the computer. I seriously have no life, I am very depressed, and I see so many other people having lives (their pictures on myspace) and it makes me feel so crappy. Please give me some advice. Thanks soo much.

If you think you would be happier back at the private school, then tell your parents how much of a mistake you made by wanting to leave, after you realized how things turned out. If you want to stay in the same school, then do as you please.
I'm sure you had friends there, and you were probably happier there than you are now, sitting with your parents and at the computer all weekends instead of partying like a normal teenager would. I'm friends with these two girls, but one of them is HORRIBLE to the other. She's always talking behind her back, and bitching to her face, and making her cry, and is just plain mean. I'm friends with both, but I really don't want to be friends with the mean girl anymore. I'm closer to the "victim" (I guess that's a good word for it, lol) and I hate seeing her picked on all the time. I've talked to the mean one a lot, telling her to stop because my other friend never did ANYTHING to her, and she just won't. Is there a way to make her stop being such a bitch? Thanks.

Sit her down and ask her why she is being so obnoxious. Tell her that it is not nice on her part and she has no reason to be mean to her, at all! I mean, why would she be mean for no reason at all? Maybe there is some reason that you just don't know about. Either way, you should find out why she is being mean. If she says that it's no reason then you shouldn't be friends with her anymore, because friends aren't friends with people who are mean to their other friends.

Okay. Here's what you do. Run to a police officer/dial 911 and tell them that he has been creeping you out by telling you he would make a voo-doo doll out of you. If that doesn't work, I don't know what would.

You can choose whichever name you want your baby to have, whether you are married or not. :)

hey, i'm a 14 female and my BEST friend who is a girl told me today that she loves me. a lot. the strange thing is that i don't really think she's necessarily bi (she deff. likes guys) but yet she likes me. you know how some people say there's a spectrum of sexuality and some people are completely straight or completely gay or literally anywhere in between? i dont' think she likes girls that much but... i dont know what to do. she's been really depressed lately and i still don't think differently of her but i definitely don't feel exactly the same way she does. this is all very confusing and i'm so sorry i don't make much sense... but anything as to what i could say or do would help a lot. thanks. :D

You should definetely talk to her and calmly ask yourself if you think she is lesbian or bi. I mean, she's your best friend, so wouldn't you know the answer or at least try to figure it out.Sshe probably said she loves you as a friend. I tell my friends i love them all the time because they mean a lot to me, and it's strictly in a friendly manner, and they know that. If questioning yourself doesn't work, you should ask her and say "when you told me you love me, did you mean it in a friend way, or more than a friend?"

Okay, so I was at this party one time, & this boy says that he likes me, & asks me out.
I had a BIG crush on him at the time, so of course, i said yes.
A few days later, he says that he was only kidding, & he didn't like me. He only asked me out because his friends dared him to.
On the last day of school, he asks me out... AGAIN. What am i supposed to do? Should i believe him, or not?

No no no no nooo! Don't fall for that one again! He seems like one of those guys that everyone thinks is so cool, but in reality, he's just a jerk and not the one you would want to be with. If you really think he means it, then you should ask him if he was dared again. Otherwise, you could end up questioning yourself these questions and back to square one. Be confident, and smile :)

Ok, So I am 13 years old and since May 2005, I have found myself madly in love with no other than a 20 year old McDonalds worker. okay well i have two really great friends but they got in a fight over a stupid guy taht both of them dont even like anymore and now hate eachother and wont spend two seconds without talking about eachother and im kinda stuck in the middle...what should i do? its really hard not to talk about them or say my opinion without getting screwed cause they eventually find out what i said : /

Try to help them work it out. Since they don't like this guy anymore, ask them together why they're still mad at eachother. Tell them that you want everyone to be friends again, and to forget the past and live on with the future. We only live once, so make the best of it, and tell them life is too precious to waste part of it fighting over a dumb boy.

how do you stay beautiful and accually look okay but not look like a slut with makeup on cause im only 9 and people say i look anorexic cause i dont eat and they can see my ribs when when im wearing a bra when there are sleepovers and i have this really bad cut on my knee thats been her for like 3 months and it wont heal and i cut my wrists becuase i lost my virginity and i cant help but get into trouble. i need realllllllllly bad help.

Might i suggest authorized therapy and counseling? I think it would be something worth looking into considering you've experienced all these things at age nine. That is really not okay, you're rushing our life way too fast and you shouldn't even be on Advicenators if you're that young.

I have this problem with this one girl that we were so close that we almost went out, but were like 11 and we were too shy to accually go out..she always acts different around her friends. she always is snickering with her friend, giggling nonstop and always acting all peppy and theres nothing wrong with that, but it just drives me crazy and i have no idea why..and she has changed alot..what should i do cause i always get mad at her for doing nothing to me. just the way she acts drives my crazy

If you can't stand the way she acts, then you should probably just forget her. Sorry if this is a little harsh, and I know you like her (and she likes you), but if her personality is annoying you, then you need to find a girl who doesn't make you insane!
