Where i live right now i wear things like hollister, american eagle, aeropostale, and stuff like that. well im moving to texas and do people wear stuff like that down there and if not whats the style???

I live in Houston and of course people here wear A&F and Hollister. We don't all walk around in cowboy hats and plaid button up shirts everyday.


And I guess it kind of depends on what area and what city you move to. If you move to a really small town like Somerville, Brenham, or Odessa then not so much. But otherwise, you're good to go.

I'm a tennis player and I always wear soffee (sp?) shorts to play tennis in, run in, or lift weights in. Wearing a thong to workout is so unconfortable, so i was wondering what underwear someone would recomend? I have a couple pair of these jockey underwear that i've had forever, they're like those boyshort undies. I hate wearing bikini ones because you can see them in the shorts! Any advice on where i should go to get these miracle undies?!

Boyshorts, definatly. You won't be able to see panty lines & they're comfortable. You can get them anywhere from Victoria's Secret to Department stores.

Is there any way to make medium-long hair curly (temporarily) without braiding or using curlers? thanks in advance.

I was playing basketball yesterday and then I got fouled and got knocked down and hurt my knee but I got up and walked the pain off of it.. It didn't start hurting til this morning.. My left knee is swollen on the left side of it I can't squatt it hurts bad..My knee feels really tight to I think its were its swollen.. I can still run and stuff though.. I can't stretch my leg out while moving my foot to the right and it hurts.. Could it be A meniscus tear? If not what could it be?

You might have just briused your knee cap if you can still run. But either way, you should go to the doctor to find out for sure to be on the safe side.

does anybody think its tacky to tell somebody you like them over instant message? it just feels so much easier to let everything out that way than in person.

It really depends on how old you are. If you're still in middle school, then no biggie. I remember alot of people used to ask out or get asked out on AIM back in middle school, too. But, once you get into high school and you really like this person, then it's better to tell them in person.

I've had my period for 4 years now and it is very consistant. Always the last week of the month.Well idk if im overracting but i havent gotten my period in 3 months. Im not sexually active and know that i couldnt be pregnet. Me and my mom dont have a good relationship and i feel like whenever i tell her these types of this she just blows me off. I'm started to get a little worried about it.So what do you think is going on?
ps. I do get discharges randomly. idk if that means anything?

Well even if you've had your period for a few years, it can still mess up. Have you recently gotten more active or lost/gain some weight? Stress can also delay your period so worrying about it won't help. If you stil miss it next month as well, I think you should try talking to your mom about it. She shouldn't blow up in your face because you're having problems with your period, it's not your fault. And discharge is normal.

The song "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" by Panic! at the Disco came on the radio today and I noticed that they beeped out the word "God." Why is that? Is God not supposed to be on the radio?

The only reason they beep it out is because they say God's name in vain. Other wise, saying "God" on the radio is allowed.

My cheer squad is putting together an appreciation type party for our football players as the get ready for the season.


At this thing, we want to show a football movie. We have it narrowed down to Remember the Titans and Friday Night Lights. We think they're both one of the best football movies out there (well... besides Rudy, of course) but we can't decide on one.


Which would y'all choose? If you answer, we'd really like a reason why as well!


Also, we really just and one of those two, nothing else, and we can't show both. Thanks

Well "Remember the Titians" is more about coming together despite all the differences people have.


And "Friday Night Lights" is kinda like it isn't the end of the world just because you didn't win that one big game. Life still goes on.


So, I think "Remember the Titians" is what you should play because it's about team work and how together, they can do what they want. I think it'll get them more pumped about the season.

I used to be more of the popular type, I was always out with friends. But latley, I can barely name 5 or 6 friends that I'm actually friends with still! All of my old friends went like .. emo, I'm sad to label them, but I can't hang out with them anymore, cause they just won't give me a chance. When I became captain of the cheerleading squad, they shut me out. I can't find anyone else at my school, who I can go shopping with, and just be true buddies. Please help, I'm so lonley!

Why want to be friends with people that don't want to be friends with you? Start hanigng out with the girls on your cheer squad. You'll obviously have more in common with them and they won't shut you out.

my name is Rachel and iam 17 years old and I have been going swimming every day for severl weeks now and Iam starting to get tired of it,but when I try to tell my cousins no I don't want to go swimming my cousin who is 13 and is perfectly normal by the way uses my cousin who is autistic and is 15 by the way to say please rachel go swimming with us and I don't have the heart to tell him no how can I tell my cousins no I don't want to go swimming without them getting mad at me when my cousin who is 13 uses my other cousin who is autistic to get me to go swimming with them?

Suggest you do something else. Instead of going swimming, say "hey guys, what if we go out for ice cream today!" Or go bowling, get a bunch of other kids and play tag in the sprinklers (I'm 16 and I STILL do that), play basketball, go to the mall, the zoo, etc. Just suggest anything else they might be interested in.

hi, well today morning i found my budgie dead, and yesterday my aunty told me that she had a dream about it dieing. i was thinking that it could have been a premenition (spelling?) and i was just wandering if theres any scientific proof that premenitions are true? can anybody help me with it? thnx in advance:)

My mom's whole family is convinced that dreams mean something and that stuff can happen. And when I'm around them and they start talking about it, it does make sence. Now, there's no scientific proof or anything like that, it just goes with what you beleive in. Some people do, and others think that dreams are just dreams.

You're not a blabbermouth but when you say things like that after someone tells you a secret, it tends to draw attention and others want to know what you're talking about.

Ok, So I am 13 years old and since May 2005, I have found myself madly in love with no other than a 20 year old McDonalds worker. He has started to open up a little more in the past couple of months, and he gives me lots of hugs, flirts, and shows all the "signs" of love back. Yet he has never told me. This week we are supposed to go to the movies. My question is, Should I open up and tell him I love him or should I just wait until he does?

I wouldn't go to the movies with him period, much less tell him that you love him. You can say age is just a number all you want but not when you're 13 and he's 20. You're still in middle school and he graduated high school like what, 2 years ago?


When a 20-year-old is interested in a 13-year-old it's almost ALWAYS for all the wrong reasons. Do NOT get yourself involved with this guy. I know him might seen so cool to you, especially when he's giving you all this attention but it's because he expects something back.

I was wondering how to approch a really hot guy that you see at like a line at a movie theater. (ya this happened last night lol) so we were like secretly looked at each other back in forth you know pretending we didn't after but i had no idea how to talk to him i didn't know what to do. Well first of all, when you catch him looking at you, SMILE! It lets him know that you like what you see and you're actually friendly. Then just go up to him, say "Hi my name is ____" and go for a hand shake. After he tells you his name say "Nice to meet you." Usually, it gets kinda awkward after this because you don't know what to say. So if you find yourself in that situation, give him a compliment. Those are usually good conversation starters. Also ask what movie he's seeing, what school he goes to, anything like that to show him that you're interested.


I know, easier said than done. Going up to someone like that can be pretty nerve racking but what's the worst that can happen, right? Just get over it and do it.

why does everyone SHAVE their legs and get razor burns and cuts, when they could just use nair? why doesn't everyone just use nair instead? is there something bad about nair? i just don't get it.

Then reason I don't use it is because you have to wait until the hairs grow back. With shaving, you can shave again when you have stubble. But the hairs have to be longer with nair.

why do people count seconds after lightning happens? like what does that have to do w/ how close the thing is to you?

I think I remember this from elementary school haha. Anyway, it's the number of seconds between seeing the flash and hearing the thunder. If you don't hear thunder then it's more than 20 miles away. But, take that number and divide by 5 and that's around how many miles away it is.

It depends on how active you are. But average is 2000 a day. More if you workout/play sports, less if all you do is sit around all day.

my fever is 100.9 , is that bad?
I have been having horrible aches and pains, stuffed up sinuses (ears, nose, throat)
and i feel woozy half of the time.

It isn't THAT bad. I'd take some advil (or something similar) and lay down. Go to the doctor if OTC meds don't help or if the fever gets worse.
