football movies

Question Posted Monday June 12 2006, 7:09 pm

My cheer squad is putting together an appreciation type party for our football players as the get ready for the season.

At this thing, we want to show a football movie. We have it narrowed down to Remember the Titans and Friday Night Lights. We think they're both one of the best football movies out there (well... besides Rudy, of course) but we can't decide on one.

Which would y'all choose? If you answer, we'd really like a reason why as well!

Also, we really just and one of those two, nothing else, and we can't show both. Thanks

I think you should do Remember the Titans. It's a great football movie, and it has a deeper meaning then touchdowns. It is a wonderful movie and I think you should choose that.

Hope I helped!

I haven't seen either one, but here's something you can do. I do this all the time when I want two different books but only have enough money for one. Find somebody who doesn't care one way or the other, and have that person put both movies behind his or her back. They will shuffle them without looking. Select a chairperson to tell them when to stop, and to pick a hand. Whichever movie was in that hand is the final decision, no going back.

Hope it works out for you!

REMEMBER THE TITANS
it's just such a good movie of racial equality, teamwork, reaching your goals, etc.

And the guys are HOT.

I would have to say Remember the Titans is a great thing to show because it deals a lot with the guys coming together as a team. I believe that's what the last person who wrote said, and I definatly agree. If you absolutly can't decide, just flip a coin. Or you could always show Water Boy. Most guys like Adam Sandler, and it would definatly make the party more lighthearted.

I love love love Remember the Titans, deff. one of my favorites so of course that is my choice =] But you gota remember, while RTT is alot about football and coming together as a team and the love and passion for the game. It is alot about racial issues too, you gota decide if you want that to be a big message in your party too!

Well "Remember the Titians" is more about coming together despite all the differences people have.

And "Friday Night Lights" is kinda like it isn't the end of the world just because you didn't win that one big game. Life still goes on.

So, I think "Remember the Titians" is what you should play because it's about team work and how together, they can do what they want. I think it'll get them more pumped about the season.
