Q: okay i really need help..sorry this is long..

me and my best friend *natalie*..well we have been best friends since 1st grade. we were like inseperable..i love her to death. but ever since spring break, she has changed so much. she started skipping school nonstop. she failed the 10th grade. she started drinking alot but then she stopped. she had sex with a 21 year old that we all knew. she yells at me for the stupidest reasons. she freaks out on her parents and calls her mom a bitch and a whore. she doesnt respect my parents. she didnt even come to school to do her finals on the last day. and now its summer. and we usually have SO much fun. but she met some new guys that she hangs out with everyday and she gets drunk with them and gets high with them everyday. i guess she thinks its cool but i really do miss her. and ive tryed telling her that she is too wild and everything but she doesnt listen. all of our friends dislike her now. and i mean ALL of them. she likes this guy named ray but i dont think he likes her cause she is too loud. he doesnt really act like he likes her. i dont know what to do. no ones parents will let their kids hang out with her. i feel bad and i want to.. its just i dont want to get caught up with her and end up getting in DEEP trouble because of her. i really want her as a friend though. i want things how they used to be. what can i do?!?!?

Most people might say forget about your friend and find new ones. But I think this is a time when your friend needs you the most. Basically you have to be able to have a one-on-one with her. Tell her all the things you just told hundereds of people online ; that you think her lifestyle that she's living is dangerous and you miss how it use to be. Even though, people do change. It's very possible that she'll reject you and keep doing what she wants. But you still can't totally block her out of your life. I don't recommend you going with her to these parties, or changing your lifestyle or anythingl ike that. But I do think that you should keep on with your life, but still have an open ear/arm for her when she comes back. Because you are the one she may come back to.

Q: 14/f i play music (sing & play guitar/piano) and lots of it i would call country music. most kids hate country music, i know! but i love it. i really want to have a carreer in music but i don't want all my friends and people i know to be hating the type of music i play. should i just go for it or should i change my style a little, more pop or rock or something? please tell me your thoughts on any of this. thank you! i rate

Q: My friend broke up with her bf just a few hours ago. She wanted him to be in tears, but he was happy. So she got revenge on him, and asked out this guy she knew would say yes! I felt horrible for the ex bf. I really want to call her new bf and tell him to break up with her, but I know that the new bf will tell her what I said and she'll get in a fight with me. I really don't want to fight with her because i'm the type of person who goes crazy when somebody is mad at me! Please tell me what I should do!

Believe me, way too much more drama than you ant in your life. Let the guy figure out for himself that his girlfriend is using him. And you don't know, maybe your friend might actually kinda like the guy (or will grow to.) I guess you should talk to your friend though and tell her you think what she's doing isn't very...nice. Q: what is better for you regular or diet soda?

and is margerine or regular butter better for you?

me and my friend are debating over this.

We learned this in health!
Believe it or not, normal coke is better for you!
Diet soda has so many more chemicals in it to keep the flavor that it really just isn't as good in flavor, or health wise. So if you're going to drink soda go all out and get the regular kind!
I'm not so sure about the butter question though...

Q: Ok, I met this girl at a friends party a while ago, she seemed nice. A few days ago he had another party and I talked to the girl again, and we are now friends on myspace. Here is where the question comes in. She is hitting on me, and telling me we should hang out. I am not sure of how I feel about her, so I was wondering what a safe way to hang out with her would be so I can avoid the question until I get to know her a little better.

Wait I'm confused...you want a safe place to hang out so that you can avoid hanging out? Oh, well, that doesn't matter. For now, until she asks again, just act like you forgot that she mentioned you should hang out. It might give you some more time to figure out your feelings for her. Then the moment will come when she asks to hang out again. Now, you really can't be mean and say no because what if later on you find you do like her, but she doesn't like you because you rejected hanging out. I say that when she asks, you two bring a big group of friends and hang out at the movies, amusment park, mall, etc. So that it's not as personal and alone. Let me know how it goes -

Q: I really want to get a kitten, but my mom keeps saying no. My dad says its fine, as long as my mom says yes. The kitten is free, but it still needs shots and stuff. My dad would take care of the fees, but my mom still says no. How do I convince my mom that a kitten is in fact a good idea? What should I say to her to make her say yes?

You obviously have to pull the responsibility card on her! Show her how responsible you can be by cleaning, taking care of yourself, and just acting very independant. Then let her know that if you had a kitten how much you would love and adore it and that you would clean up every single crap it left for you. Then butter her up and compliment her, tell her she's beautiful, rub her feet, etc. Eventually she should level out. Let me know how it goes.

Q: Heres the sitch...im a 16yr male senior at my high school, and ive been BEST friends with this girl since sophmore year...problem is, ive fallen for her...hard. i cant get her out of my head, i get jealous of any other guys she talks to or who like her, and im really protective of her...but she doest like me when i like her, she said she had a crush on me back when i had a gf soph year, but now she doesnt like ANYONE. what should i do? ive liked her for two years, but she says it would be wierd to date bcuz weve been friends for so long...

Alright, well when girls say "Oh I don't like anyone," 90% of the time they mean "I'm in love with you but I don't know what to do!" And if she has fallen for you before it's most likely that she could return down that path once more. I really think that you should just play the freind card for now, and still talk to her like normal. If anything, you should talk to her even more so you can get comfortable around each other. The next move is up to her because she knows you like her, and she knows you're waiting for her response. Let me know how it goes.

Q: Whenever I try to burn a playlist onto a cd to play in my car, I click the burn button and on the top it always says, "Disc Recording not found...". Does anyone know what that could mean? What's wrong with my itunes and how do I fix it? I'm going on a trip on friday and I'd like to have this cd to play by then.

Well, it means you're doing something wrong, haha. Judging from the wording, I think you didn't put the blank disc into you're computer before trying to burn the playlist onto it. OKay here are the steps...( so you can check whats wrong)
make your playlist
put a blank c.d into the computer
press the burn button
and wait for the songs to load!

Q: If I wore a reg. size tampon and put it in at 12 and then woke up around 8 maybe nine will I be at a health risk?

On the tampon box it says they can be used up to 8 hourse max. But you really should take them out about 6 or 7 hours later. It's really not a good idea to sleep with a tampon because if you do leave it in too long you could get toxic shock syndrome. So instead, use an over-night pad.

Q: I have these little bumps on my arms and just a few on my face. They dont show at all but when you touch my face or arms you can feel them. It's not bad enough to go to the doctors for. I've tried a lot of things but none of them are really working! help!

Ooohh yeah, I know what you're talking about.
They might be sun bumps! I use to get those.
Unfortunately, there isn't any type of lotion or creme that you can get for it at a drugstore. You have to go to a dermotologist and they perscribe it for you. I wish i knew an easier way to get the stuff but I don't! Sorry! Hope it helped.

I am 14/f and the first time I got my period was in February of this year. I am a 32 A. My mom is a 38 C. However, I am short for my age (which I got from my aunts) Since I got my height from my aunts (who are A cups as well) will I probably have the same size breast as them or my mom?

Well, you really can't say because nobody knows how you're genetics work. But I think it may be most likely to be more towards your moms size. Don't worry, they'll grow.

Q: Occasionally, usually once a month, my face gets covered in blackheads, and it drives me crazy. I try everything to get rid of them, but they just keep coming back. What is the easiest way to get rid of blackheads? Will rate high =]

The easiest (but not so funnest) way I know is using those black-head strips. You wet your nose and apply this cloth-type of strip onto your nose for about 15 minutes, then tear it off! You can find them in any drugstore like Eckerds/Walgreens/Whatever. They hurt pretty bad but they work.

Q: Ohh boy, i just turned 15..had sex for my first time, didnt use a condom, im so stupid and im so scared now :( im stressing out so much and i dont know what to know, i had sex like exactly a week ago now, and i dont know if im bloaded or what but my stomach is starting to get big and ive gained 3 pounds-ive also been noticing im eating A LOT latly :-/ should i go get checked out..or take a pregnancy test? ohh lord help me!!

I don't know if you get those kinda of pregnancy symptoms that early. You'll know by your first missed period.

If it's positive than you have three options.
Adoption
Abortion
Or keep it.
I, personally, would give it up for adoption. You're giving a baby to someone who is willing to love and care for it. That is, unless you would want to.
But before you get into that just go and buy a test from a drug store.
And like I said, don't have sex until you're ready. "Don't do anything you wouldn't want your parents to watch you do."

Q: My hair is really frizzy and thick and it takes me 2-3 hours to straighten it everyday!! Im thinking about having it perfesionly straightened! do you no if it works? does it ruin your hair?

One of my freind gets hers perminately straightened all the time. Yeah, it does work ; for about 2 - 3 weeks or so. And your hair will react the same as it would to you straightening it - only it'll last and look better. Theyre really really expensive though - I think my friend had to pay soemthing like $100 an hour when she gets hers done.

Q: ok so i'm going on a few college visits in a while, and i invited two friends. the problem is that my mom said we don't really have enough room in the car for both but i've already invited them. so should i tell them that or subtly imply it or what??

Q: does getting your hair dyed professionally last longer than the stuff you buy at the grocery store?

because everytime i dye my hair myself it lasts 2 weeks tops then its totally faded (and you can only dye your hair like every 8 weeks or so)
and i dont want to waste that kind of money getting it professionally done if its just going to fade right away

No hair dye is going to last for more than 3 monthes. But if you have the choice between doing it yourself and a professional doing it - go with the professional. The dye she uses is most likely going to last longer than less-expensive store bought dye. Plus she probobly has a better method on applying it and the overall look will just come out better.

Mousse is always good. When you get out of the shower, get a big handfulk of it and fluff it throughout your hair (while you lean over upside down.) also if you blowdry your hair after that in the lean-over position your hair will be alot more fluffy and not stuck to your head. Applying hair spray under your hair while leaning over and flipping it also helps.
