ok so i'm going on a few college visits in a while, and i invited two friends. the problem is that my mom said we don't really have enough room in the car for both but i've already invited them. so should i tell them that or subtly imply it or what??

If you're going to more than one college, you could take one friend to one college with you and the other friend to the other college with you. That way no one's feelings get hurt. Your friends will probably be really understanding about it. Just be honest with them an don't make it seem like you're choosing one friend over another one.
