There's answers.yahoo.com, but it's pretty awful. Unorganized, people giving useless answers to get points- I was on there for about half an hour before I quit.

I'm having my braces removed in a couple of days. I'm concerned though, 'cause the dentist said that it's a 2-day process.

I got them on October 31st, 2005 (no candy for me that year, i know!). So it's been like 2 point something years so far. What should I expect during and after the removal? Blood? Weird nasty tastes?...Tooth decoloration? Pain?

Also, the dentist will file my teeth 'cause they're not all similar in length. Will that hurt or bleed or anything?

And is the switch from braces to a retainer a big jump? Did anyone get braces then retainers?

I'd like to know what it was like for you guys. If you haven't had them, it's ok, i'd still like to know what you think awaits me!

When I got mine removed, it wasn't a 2-day process. It's pretty dull but not painful- the only part that might hurt is getting the metal part towards the back of your mouth off- but it's very brief. If you have chipped or sensitive teeth, let them know.

If you weren't very good at brushing your teeth, there's probably some discoloration- also sometimes a small amount of glue won't come off for a week or so. My teeth were fairly discolored, but I used Crest Whitestrips and they went back to normal (god, I sound like a bad commercial).

The filing will just feel strange, no hurting or bleeding- I've had it done.

You will be expected to wear your retainer pretty much 24 hours a day beyond eating. It feels strange at first, and it's hard to talk with it in. I'd recommend going home and singing/talking for a while just to get used to it. I cannot emphasize this enough: WEAR YOUR RETAINER! I know a girl who wore braces for several years, then only wore her retainer at night. Her teeth are now extremely crooked to the point where when I first met her, I assumed she couldn't afford braces. I didn't wear mine at first, and now I have a tooth that is almost sideways and won't go back. WEAR IT or have braces as an adult. (Or Invisalign, which is very painful and expensive)

One thing, getting your braces off feels really strange. For a while you will feel as though you have no teeth, that will go away. If you experience any pain, advil will help.

Well I bought Halls vitamin C and it says take only maxium of 2 but I like it that i eat a lot a day (til I just read the max numbers).

What happens if I eat too much? Can something bad happen to my body?

Unless you have more than 10, you should be fine. Too much Vitamin C can give you diarrhea and it's not good for your teeth- it can wear the enamel off. Try to drink some water after you have the vitamin c.

No, it hasn't, probably because it's kind of risque. (Well, I don't think it is, but my mom hates it).

A little background. I buy jewelry at the 99 cent store and the jewelry I buy looks like I could have brought them at Lord & Taylors, Bloomingdales, Nordstrums - I get a lot of compliments on my jewelry. However, my sister is such a snob so she will not buy anything UNLESS you pay a lot. STORY: Tonight I was wearing a fun ring and she commented on the ring and asked if I brought it at the 99 cent store. I told her no that this was just a fun ring. However, the jewelry I buy at the 99 cent store does not look 99 cent, but she laughed, but my Mom told her that last night when Anna was here for the first night of Passover, Anna loved the necklace that I (meaning me) wore. I called my sister a snob, and she got mad, and said; dont ever call me that I still wont buy anything at a ninety cent store;. My brother-in-law told my sister that she should not say things like that to me. Any way later on I showed her a necklace and she said it was pretty. MY QUESTION: WHY IS MY SISTER SUCH A SNOB AND REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT ONE CAN BUY BEAUTIFUL JEWELRY AT THE 99 CENT STORE. I MEAN I DISCOVERED THIS MARCH 2006 BUT THEY HAVE BEEN SELLING THE JEWELRY FOR MANY YEARS. Thirdly, we know who you are. We know you're obsessive compulsive and you've been asking the same kinds of questions for ages. There's nothing more we can do for you, we've tried our best to convince you and it's not enough. You need stop obsessing about what other people think.

Many people, including myself, refuse to shop at 99 cent stores because the quality is awful and *most* of the stuff there is ugly and not even worth a dollar. Not to mention that the crowd in there tends to be fairly creepy- I've had my wallet/purse stolen more times in a 99 cent store than in any other place. I used to love those stores, but I realized it's not worth it and many people feel the same way. Also the stuff is there is things that didn't sell in normal stores which means it's no longer in style or fashionable.

Most of the time it is worth paying for quality jewelry. It lasts forever and the majority of people can tell obvious fakes- it shows in every way, the workmanship is just not the same.

13/f/8th grade. I would like to lose some weight with a good diet and a good work out plan. i want nice, toned abs, legs, stomach, and arms. what would a good solid work out plan and diet be for me? it wold be nice if it involved jogging ;)

Okay, I have to school to school right now, but I'll copy and paste some basic exercises after school today. I hvae some really good leg ones.

Also, sounds weird, but try jumproping. Sounds easy, it's not. Do it for sets of about a minute at a time (actual jumping, not skipping) and you will definitely see results.

Find alternatives for junk food. Maybe have a handful of a sweet cereal for a snack instead of cookies. Just gradually decrease. If you really feel that junk food is a problem, ask your parents to hide it somewhere where you won't find it so that you have no choice but to eat healthy food.

Nope, it's a good thing. I'm 16 and 5ft10 and guys for whatever reason really like tall girls, and a lot of girls are probably jealous of you. Clothes fit better and it shows less when you gain weight, not to mention having really long legs!

This is for a school project. Suggest me songs that represent happy optmisim...a positive "your life is beautiful, keep living!!" attitude. but not anything cheesy or corny please. i'll appreciate it even more if it incorporates going to heaven or something religious!
