The desk top of my PC has disappeared.
It is not hidden as I know how to hide and un-hide the desktop icons.
It has disappeared together with the star button. The monitor remains blank
When putting the PC on it opens automatically with “My Computer”. Under the control panel menu the start button is not responding. I have be adviced to retrive the desktop by ctrl+alt+delete

But every time I have to switch it on I have to follow the procedure time and again.
How can I permanatly restore the desktop back in action.
The only thing I can suggest is re-installing your computer.
If you do this, then save ALL important data,music..etc. on a disc or USB stick..or whatever you use.
If you do not want to do this, then you should get a computer tech. to check out your PC.

ok, i have an iPod nano which means i have an iTunes library on my computer.
well i was opening my iTunes library to do what i usually do when i'm on the computer; listen to my songs.
today when i opened it, ALL of my songs were gone. NOT ONE left. where did my songs go? they're still on my computer, but not in my iTunes. [i have about 150 songs so it would take too long to manually put them on]
any help at all is apperciated. i'm starting to freak. :\ tanks in advance.

What I did was I went on
File > Add folder to Library
The you choose the folder where all your music is in (it can be many folders inside one)
and it might take a bit, depending on your computer, but the songs will finally be in your library.

I have my nose pierced. It's an 18 gauge piercing. (Standard size for nose piercings.) So obviously, a nose ring is thicker than an earring.
I have been looking for a nose hoop for a long time. I finally found an earring hoop that fits in my nose really well. The only problem is, that the hoop is not 18 gauge. (Meaning the hoop is thinner than the usual nose rings I wear.)
So I was wondering:
How fast does a nose piercing close up?
Would it be okay if I wore the thinner nose hoop for about 8 hours?
(After school, I will put in the regular, thicker nose ring.)
Do you think my piercing could close up a lot in 8 hours?

If the piercing is new, then it will close up fast, if you've had it for more than a year, then it will be ok.
I suggest looking in piercing shops for 18ga. rings if you are worried about the current one.
When I got my nose done, I wore 20ga. rings and it was fine, although it was kind of hard to get a bigger ga. jewelry back in.

I got my cartilage pierced last month, and for the past two days ive noticed that when twist it, sometimes it'd get stuck. I looked and there's a little bubble on the back of my ear. Does that mean my ears infected? It doesn't hurt or anything, unless i try laying on the side i got it done sometimes. Will it go away or something? It's nothing big, but it just showed up. Could it be from irritation? I tried to pop it but i whimped out, it bled a little.
does this happen normally?
sounds like you have gotten a keloid.(sp?)
These form if a piercing has been knocked suddenly...they usually go away after a while( I had one) Clean it regularly and it should go away :)
Always remember to always wash your hands before messing with the piercing and clean it at least once a day.

Go to this site and download Music Rescue.
It's free and all you have to do is plug your iPod in, and it will start downloading all the music,playlists..etc onto a folder in your computer (which you can choose)
It works really well, I had to use that. The only negative thing is that every 100 or 50 songs you have to keep clicking ''no'' as it stops downloading music, and asks you whether you would like to buy the program. It took about 15 minutes to download 900 songs off my iPod.

Hi I am 16 and I am going to get both of my ears pierced in one day somewhere, I'm not sure where yet... I have been doing some research and I have heard that the piercing guns suck! and they screw up a lot... Do you think I should just get my ears pierced by a gun, or by hand at a professional piercing or tattoo shop?

Gun's are bullshit and unprofessional. The people in Claire's or whatever don't even need proper training to do that. If you care about the state of your ears, go get it done with a f*cking needle!

okay, so me and my best friend, we'll call her serena, we've been best friends since 2nd grade (we're in 10th now) but we know everything about each other and we are always there for each other. well she has a boyfriend but she still flirts with like all the guys at school and they of course flirt back. and so when im walking with her and someone comes up im just like stuck walking behind them. and im sick of it. when we are by ourselves everything is great but not at school. i feel like such a dork just tagging along. and i have other friends but they all like love serena and it seems like they would rather be around her. i really hate it but i feel like im just never going to be as good as her. how can i become more outgoing? or what can i do? but dont tell me to talk to her about it because that is not an option. its something i have to do alone. but please help!

I know how you feel. You have known your friend for a long time, and she seems to be better than you. You don't necessarily need to talk to HER about it. She is just naturally more flirtatious than other people you know, and instead of tagging along with her when she is on a flirt stroll( I don't know how to say that in a nicer way, sorry!) talk to some of your other friends instead.
I had a friend who always acted like she was better than me around guys, she'd hit me to show off in front of the guys, but in the end, I found out that some of the guys liked me for my personality, because it was different from hers.
Whatever you do, don't change yourself to be exactly like her, be yourself, but try to make friends with some guys who sit around you in lessons. Ask them whether you can borrow a pen or so on.
So the next time she starts flirting with guys, you can go talk..or flirt :) with some of the guys you have made friends with.
