okay the problem is: A man left his home at 1:30 pm driving along Rindt Road at 48 mph. An hour later his son left home along the same route @ 72 mph. At what time of day will they catch up w/ eachother? ~I need to know how to solve it not the answer but if u need to give the answer thats okay, hurry though!

make a chart... write the time(on one side) and how many miles they went on another side.. make 2 charts.. then write each hour on a diffent line.. and write 48 miles on one chart and then 72 miles on the other... every hour you need to add rather 48 or 72 miles for example lets say 48.. on one line across from 1:30 so in the 2:30 line it should be 96 miles then keep on adding 48 to the amount .. after you finish one of the times and the miles will be the same and that will be your answer... hope i helped anymore math prob. or any other just let me know (i was a math tutor)

I was in a chat room with 2 of my friends today. One was my best friend, Jessica and the other was a guy, Ryan. Ryan and I like each other but have a few things we're trying to work out before we actually start dating. This was a part of our conversation:

Then he said he had to go. Do you think that was his way of telling me that he wants me to be more conservative?

i think it is really disturbing that!! he said that to you!!.. but maybe it was a way just to kind of kid around... but i think all he wanted to do during that conversation is tease you and kinda maybe try and make you jealous.. maybe he is telling you that you don't have to flaunt them that he likes girls that are more mysterious and keeps things to them selves. etc. hope this helps!

I just started tanning and the other day my mom told me to make sure to wear a bra when i go in because its bad if i dont. Is that true? Could i get breat cancer from not wearing one? Or any thing else because i thought that tanning could only give you skin cancer and eye damage.

tanning causes all kinds of cancers.. just to be safe i would wear a bra you should prob. listen to your mom just to be safe... hope i helped

Ok I am 16/m and my father recently passed away. He was the only one taking care of me and my little sister, Sarah.(my mother diched us when Sarah was born.) Sarah is only 6 and I've been trying to take care of her and myself but it's not working. We don't have any other relatives that she can go live with and I can't keep taking care of her. My school counselor has been trying to help us anyway he can and he recommended handing her over to the state. He said that it would be easier on the both of us if I did and it would give her a chance at a better life. He said that there a lot of foster families out there who end up adopting the children that they take in. Does anyone know how the "system" works? I mean if I do give her to the state will she be safe or is she better off with me? It's really hard for me to take care of her and I don't feel like I'm a good parental figure. I have a job but it doesn't pay enough to take care of the two of us. So if anyone knows anything about the foster care system or whatever it's called please let me know. I want to make sure that it's safe for her so that I can determine what will be better for her. Thank you.

aww hunny!... she will be really safe... they wouldn't let anything happen to her.. but she most liekly would want to stay with you.. you could prob. go see her etc. the system is really easy.. what they do is they take her in.. and she might stay in an orphanage for a little til they find her a family to stay iwth ... after this .. they will put her in the home prob. temporarly then she will problemby get jumbled around a lot into different homes... im not exactly sure that this is the exact thing that do know-a-days but here is a VERY good website if you would like to look up on things http://www.brucewillis.com/difference/fostercare.cfm i hope i helped.. and i hope EVERYTHING works out!

i have this project to do and it says that i have to create a timeline of WWII also the holocaust but it also says be creative. i have all the information but i need a creatine way of making a time line for that period of time

i like this guy at my school, and everybody's telling me that he likes me too. we went out before but it only lasted a few days, because i just didn't feel comfortable around him. but now i like him again, and he keeps telling everyone he might ask me out again. the problem is, when i go out with him i don't like him but when i don't go out with him i like him. i keep changing my mind about if i like him or not. if he asks me out, what should i say? because i'm afraid if i go out with him again, i might keep changing my mind about if i like him or not. im really confused. i don't know if i really like him or not. please help!!!

what i say is make a list of pro's and con's (what you like and what you don't) if the pro's are more then the con's then you do...if you keep changing your mind though maybe you are just scared to go otu with him because you don't know if you are goign to hurt him or anything like that.. make sure if you go out with him you are sure that you like him because if you don't and you do go out with him some one is going to get hurt!... another thing is to go otu with some one you shoudl feel comfortable around him.. you should be able to tell them anything and if you cna't do that .... maybe he not right for you!...hope i helped good luck hun!

I am 15/f and I haven't had a crush in 2 years! Lately, I've been thinking, and I don't know if I am bi or straight! I want to be straight ..because everyone else is..and because it seems like the right way to live..but then my mind tells me that I could be bi..I am sooo CONFUSED! i think you are straight... yes it is normal to look at other girls "parts" because you are looking at your compatition! lol i am 14 and i haven't had a boyfriend for the last 3 years... people ask me out yes.. but i always turn them down so it is okay if you didn't have a crush in a long time... and being attracted to girls isn't something you can do .. it is in your genes ... so you can't help even if you are attracted... plus if you are not attracted to girls then your deffidently not bi... so don't worry!!!

I have had two periods in one month. Is this normal for a thirteen year old girl? I don't know what to do because the first one I had ended on the tenth of this month. Then, two days ago, I had one that ended TODAY! It only lasted two days but I skipped a lot of periods last year after I had first started my period. I don't know if this is normal. Is it? HELP! if you don't really have feeling for your boyfriend now you need to dump him before you hurt him... as for your ex... wait until they break up and start talking to him more... and then let him know that you never got over him and that you want everythign to be back like it used to be ... hope i helped!

I'm 17, and so is my girlfriend, though most of the time she's a lot more mature than me because she's gone through a lot more. I've messed up a lot in my relationship.. nothing extreme, theres just a lot about me that bothers my girlfriend, and she's gone through times when she puts serious thought into breaking up with me, and truthfully i dont see why she hasnt. but what bothers her is basically just a lot about me that i can't help much, like things that i do without thinking about it, and the fact that i use to be a big flirt and sometimes have trouble stopping that.
she's always been more than faithful to me, and has never strayed away.she's debating giving up trying with me and i love her more than anything, she's perfect for what i want to be and am trying to be. but i need to know whether or not i should just let her go and live without my complications or not. please respond quickly.

follow your heart!... if you really like him you shoudl go otu with him... if it does start dramma just say to her/him "look i am happy don't you want me to be happy?" they should want you to be happy and not get all mad etc. plus it is not nasty... look at alot of people's parents ages... there not the same age are they? be happy and do what you want to do!!! :-P hope i helped..

We just moved from Oregon to California and we have all this winter clothes. I think we are haivng a garage sale next week. The problem is, I don't know how to price my items! They may be used, but they are in excellent condition. We have many different brands from gap to abercrombie to bcbg! How should I price my clothes??-I paid good money for it!

you gotta realise it is a garage sale and people aren't going to want to pay high.. if i were you try to estamate how much you payed for it in the begining see that it is still just like it was when you got it and make them pay like 50% of what you paid for it... plus ... they might bargain with you like they may say " i will take it for _____ much" so usually you don't really have to price much... !

My brother is 12 years old. A couple years back, we would always get into fights and I would always yell at him back. He would just take it in, or cry. Lately, everytime we get into a fight..he get's VERY physical and will fight for whatever he says! He is very violent..(he will climb on you and jump and scratch the heck out of you)It's starting to scare me because I can't even yell over him anymore. He's only 12 and I think he needs anger management! My parents think it's my fault because I make him mad first..but the only reason I yell at him is to set him right. He is VERY out of control when he's mad and he cries ALOT. Please give advice.. i don't know how to take this anymore..(I would hit and scratch him back..but that would only make the problem worse and he would keep on persisting to claw me out)..I'm a 16\F by the way. okay... what it problemby is.. is maybe he is getting bullied at school and he can't take his emotions out at school so he takes them at home.. what you need to do is try and talk it out with him... you know what he is like so you need to figure out a way to get around the physical stuff... you need to be the bigger woman.. set him straight and if he doesn't like what you are doing try to avoid him ... if everything keep on getting out of hand you need to let your parents know that it is gone too far and soemthing has to be done about it ... hope i helped... !

The popular kids will laugh if you answer anything like "target", "payless shoe store", or some other department store, and the kids that I'm friends with call me stupid if I tell them that I bought them at Hollister. Okay so I met this guy (we are both 16) and we hit it off. spent like 10 hours together he was totally flirting holding hands cuddling and he would just stare at me and would always sit next to me and he tried to kiss me and such.. (it was a church retreat. We were helpers lol for the little kids) so at the end of the night when its time to leave and we are right next to each other in the seat but my friend is between us and he got up and kept looking back at me and then he just left no good bye and didn’t ask for a number or anything! what does that mean? What happened?

maybe he was too nervous to ask... but if he was kissing you etc. i don't know why he would be all nervous... Maybe he didn't want your friend to hear because he would feel like a retart lol... i doubt that it is because he didn't like you because why would he act that way towards you and not like you... ? if he kept looking back at you he was deffidently still thinking about you and such... so maybe he was just too nervous or didn't want to make a fool out of himself... those are my maybe's etc. lol hope they helped you figure out what it was!
