Tanning Safely
I just started tanning and the other day my mom told me to make sure to wear a bra when i go in because its bad if i dont. Is that true? Could i get breat cancer from not wearing one? Or any thing else because i thought that tanning could only give you skin cancer and eye damage.

You can get breast cancer any time but its more common that you get skin cancer if your tanning. She might just want you to cover up your boobs.

Cancer is cancer. Skin cancer will just leave you with big scars where they have to remove chunks of your skin. I think if your worried about cancer you just don't tan. :)

No, you don't need to wear a bra. It cannot give you breast cancer or anything. The only thing you can get is skin cancer so don't get too tan!

Hahahah! You could get cancer from just doing it with the bra anyways. YOu're already at such a great risk WHO CARES ANYMORE!
Plus, wearing the bra will give you a funny tan. Then i'll laugh at you.

In Pennsylvania a 17 year old girl got Melanoma. She had to have a chunk of tissue removed from her arm. The hole left from removing the tissue was the size of a golf ball.It was detected early, or it could have been much worse. She was left with a scar on her arm about 1 1/2 inches long, she was lucky.

First of all, there is no such thing as "tanning safely". Tanning can cause all sorts of skin cancers~ and can damage your eyesight. (But cmon who really wears those gay goggles~ I mean, they give you raccoon eyes and wouldnt you rather be tan? lol) Anyway, no, wearing a bra will not decrease your risk of getting cancer, but it will keep your from burning your boobies and nips~ (They will only burn a few times without a bra) Just do some research about tanning bed hazards if your so concerned!

tanning causes all kinds of cancers.. just to be safe i would wear a bra you should prob. listen to your mom just to be safe... hope i helped

Did you ask HER why it is bad? Because your chances of getting cancer will not decrease by wearing a bra.

well i dont think thats true ive never heard anything like it.. but i might be wrong but im pretty sure thats not gonna happen.
