After disabling my account I had about 3 years ago, a lot has happened which made me want to come back. I feel as though helping people with their problems, helps me solve mine, even if that doesn't make a lot of sense to any of you. Don't hesitate to ask me anything, I will answer fairly quickly depending on the question. I wanted to be put on birth control pills and I went to my doctor like suggested. He gave me the pills and explained about them but said I needed to be on them for at least 1 full month before they became completely effective and I don't end up pregnant. When I asked here before somebody said they are effective immediately. I told my doctor that somebody said they were effective immediately and slightly laughed and was like I hate how teens get these stupid rumors and something like that's how so many girls wind up pregnant. Who is right? My doctor or you guys?

Your Doctor. They go to school for this type of stuff. My birth control pills didn't become effective until 3 months after taking them. They will work eventually, just be patient, and trust what your doctor says.

Ok so recently I ot a bf. I feel like I said yes to him just to be with someone. I feel like sometimes he is so sweet. But then other times I feel like he is clingy and I'm not physically attractedto him. Well I like this guy fiend of mine. We get along great and he always makes me laugh and I'm physically attracted to him. The problem is he dosnt have the same feelings for me. He just sees me as a friend. Should I end it with my boyfriend? I don't really like him but I guess I want to give him a chance. He always says I love you and stuff. Today he said do u like me? I said yes then he goes well I think I love u lol I don't want to hurt his feelings but what's a relationship if I'm not happy. Should I just wait and see what happens or end it now?

If you aren't feeling it, end it. You wouldn't want to play him and lead him on, and make him think you really like him when you don't. End it with him, and just see if you guys can be friends. Give him a chance that way. If you feel like you want to try it out again, then go for it. Just don't lead him on, thats even worse.


As for the other boy, maybe he doesn't like you because he knows you have a boyfriend and he doesn't want to interfere with that.

I have liked this guy for 3 years & I told him when I first started liking him. We have liked eachother ever since but mostly at different times. On friday we hung out & one of his friends came with but he ignored his friend the entire time & payed attention to me. That entire day all he did was hug me, hold my hand, & tickle me in a cuddly way [he never let go of my hand!]. He knows I have never had my first kiss & I dont even let guys kiss my cheek but he chose to kiss it & i truely didnt mind. That day he said "I LOVE YOU & THINK YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL BUT IM NOT SERIOUS NOW." I just want to know does he really like me or is it a game hes playing?

I think he truly means it. It sounds like he's a sweet kid. But, 'I Love You' is a strong word, and don't feel obligated to say it back until you're really ready. Try hanging out with him more to see if he really means it, or if it was just a one time thing. Good Luck!

Ok well today i was hanging out with this girl and when we kissed it seemed like to me her mouth was slightly open when we kissed and it felt weird but like i'm not sure if i'm doin something wrong since i've kissed like 8 times before but when i kissed my ex-girlfriend like a year ago she didn't have her mouth slightly open or like idk how to explain how this new girl has her lips just feels slightly open haha

Diet and Exercise.


They say you have to exercise AND diet to loose the weight. You can't just do one or the other. They go together.


Eat healthy and avoid unhealthy foods. An ice cream sundae isn't so bad once a week, just make sure your exercise the next day makes up for it.

My boyfriend(also 16) and I have our 200th day in the next 2 weeks and I'm very confused on what to do!
On our 100th day, I did the simple making cookies but I also added in my home-made stuffed bunny that I made him.. he LOVES it! ok so I've liked my friend for about 5 years now but I found out he doesn't like me. He only thinks of me as a friend. I want to know if I should keep on liking him or just forget about him and stay friends with him??

Also his cuzin likes me too but I just think of him as a friend but ever since I found out he likes me, I've been thinking about him...What do I do??

5 years is a long time. And the longer it is, the harder and more pain you feel.


I think that if he finally told you he just wanted to be friends, then just stick with that. If he isn't gonna treat you right, leave him.

Okay so I know that whole "it's only awkward if you make it awkward" phrase will probably apply here, but anyhow: I have a crush on a guy in my class. I'm 99% sure that he likes me back (he constantly stares at me and does all that body language stuff). But the problem here is that I never really get a chance to talk to him. I say little more than "hi" to him everyday, somethings a few sentences if I'm lucky. But online I've talked to him for hours. I'm afraid that I'm getting into the bad habit of not talking to him in person and that it might become awkward? We're going to the same party next week and I want to know how to talk to him without being all weird. He always makes me feel nervous at first, but when we start talking it becomes easier. Any tips would help. Also, what should I wear? It's not really formal but I want to look cute :). Thanks!

This sounds a lot like me. I think the only thing you can do is just talk to him more and more everyday. It's awkward at first, but I look at it this way. There's nothing to feel awkward about. He likes you for you, you don't have to feel awkward when you do stuff around him, you know? Thats the perspective I like to put it in. Try it, and let me know how that goes.


As for the party. Jeans and a cute shirt, add some cute accessories on too :)

I had to take it freshman year, and sophomore year. You're lucky! So what if you're not the most athletic. Everyone has their strong and weak points. You will be good at some things, and some things you wont be. That goes for everyone in your class.


I didn't have good friends in mine either, but its a good opportunity to make new ones so you aren't the quiet one. Pick different people for partners and such. And trust me, the year will be over before you know it. It can't last forever.

I haven't had My First period yet and I'll be 14 early next month. I have got some cramps but they onl last from like 30sec-maybe 1 or 2 min but they are short mostly like 30 sec. Also some times if I fart they go away. Could they be related to my period? And someimes my nipples itch. Is this a sign? Please help asap!!!! My mom started when she was 12 and my cousin and aunt when they was 14. So what is it?

It really depends on genetics. And to be honest, don't rush it. Once you get it, it sucks. My mom was 13 when she got her first one, and I ended up being 11. Age can't really determine when you're going to get it. I don't think the cramps have to do with your period. Period cramps are usually very painful and last for awhile.

Okay, so here lately I've been really wet 24/7, and I haven't been horny AT ALL! I don't understand why I've been so wet for. My discharge doesn't have a smell, or a color. Its clear.

Today I was taking a poop, and before I wiped, I pee'd. Well, when I went to wipe, I noticed something long, thin dangling from my vagina hole, and I wiped it and it was like gel, or jelly.

Sounds like ovulation. Usually occurs when you are about to start your period for that month. Don't worry, its totally normal. There is nothing to worry about.

Your height mainly depends on genetics. Believe me, if there was certain stretches you could do, I'd be in the same boat with you, I'm 16 and not even 5 feet.


Unfortunately, you can't determine and change your height. When did you get your period? 2 years after you get it, you stop growing.

You need to make a move. I'm telling you, guys love girls who make the first move. Even if your a little embarrassing and awkward about it at first, he will really appreciate that you made the move first. Because believe it or not, guys are scared to make the first move too. He doesn't know you like him. He can't read your mind. You need to just talk to him, and keep talking to him. Once you start talking to him, I think you will feel better.

*EDIT* Does any of your friends know him? Maybe you can go with that approach and do it through a friend. Hangout with both of them. Or maybe your friends with one of his friends? Take that approach.

Start off with a simple "Hi!" in the hallway, maybe he will think about you all class. :) If you have any classes with him, drop him a facebook message or text asking him what the homework was. And if your not, drop him one anyways :)

You are never at rock bottom. Theres always things you can to do help yourself get better. Don't waste your life away. Call a suicide hotline and they can give you help. Go see a therapist, they can help you.

You could stick a note in her locker asking her. Just make sure its the right locker, that could turn out to be a big mess. You could leave her clues to find you somewhere romantic (park or something) and have flowers ready for her, and a little note saying 'the last clue, you have to answer yourself: will you go to homecoming with me?' or something cute like that. She will love it. I know I would!


As far as dinner, don't be too expensive, cause then it gets to be over $250. Do a movie, and then dinner. Ask her what her favorite restaurant and her favorite place to hangout, and then do that. She will be really appreciative of you thinking of her and what SHE wants to do. Thats a real gentleman move right there.

I'm looking for advice on what to wear to a party. I want to look really awesome because I'm going with a boy I just met. Only thing is I'm going to be really messy by the end of it because we're crazy and r going to have a cake/food fight. But still I want to look great to begin lol. Any ideas? I love hollister, abercrombie, i shop at aeropostale too. So if you could recommend anything from those or something like that that would be great. I would go with a flowy tank top, with a cute cardigan over it. You could wear it with jeans, and if you have a pair of uggs, you could wear those for shoes. Make sure to accesorize! A few bracelets and necklaces sure don't hurt.

Well, for the ex thing, he just misses you, and wants to do anything to get you back.


As far as the new relationship goes, if he really likes you like you say he does, he will wait for you. "Boyfriend and Girlfriend" are just labels. You guys can still be together, just not dating. I think he will understand if you tell him straight up how you feel. If he doesn't feel the same, talk to him about it. If he's just a jerk about it, he's not worth it.
