Well i'm a 16 year old girl, whose pretty,fun,and popular and I have alot of friends.But there is a problem that most people don't really see as a problem;i'm italian.Not everyone at my school, but a group of people constantly make jokes to me about my heritage.It all started on the first week on school when we had to write a paper about ourselfs (favorites,ethnic background,religion,ect.) so people could get to know us.well i put in there I was italian,and right after the class these girls came up to me and asked if my dad was in the mafia!what the hell is that about?no body has any respect now adays,and i guess it has to do with shows like the gottis and the sopranos(even tho i love them!) who give people the impression ALL italian-americans are like that,and that all italian-americans have dads like tony soprano.what should I do to get rid of this stigma and situation?thanks alot and I'll rate u a 5 if u don't act all bitchy about it!=)

Your heritage is your heritage. You can't control it anymore than you can control when the sun sets. Next time people try to make a joke out of it, ask them how that is funny. Don't do it snotty, just casually ask them. It's really hard to hate someone who doesn't act like a bitch.

I have a question, would you have been mad at them if they had said you totally suck. Why are you so defensive over the fact you're friends are being nice. Every friend says that when another friend goes out on a limb. You're friends are supposed to be supportive. You have really good friends that are proud of you. They weren't lying, they were being good friends.

Alright, I got this from a few guys (this is if you are going for sex) if you don't have it shaved, they'll want to shave it. If you like swimming alot then just keep it under control around the bikini-lines. My suggestion is just keep it from growing too long, if you get sick of it, shave it!

I broke up with my ex-boyfriend a few weeks ago (he lives in a diffrent state). I called him today and we talked for over half an hour. anyway, we where about to hand up and I said "bye" then he said kinda fast "I love you, bye" then he hung up. Then about 10 minutes later he called he back asking me if I was doing anything for Valintines day. I said no (because im not). then he said ok and hung up. Im confused I think he still likes me but I don't know. I don't even know if I still like him like a boyfriend. Please help.

I got this philosophy from a guy. When a guy dumps a girl, they lose their feelings and eventually get those feelings back (that's a maybe). But when a girl dumps a guy, the guy tends to have those feelings for quite awhile and are extremely hard to get rid of.

The truth is I'm sure you are worth something, and just on the comforting side most girls like more than one guy. So there is hope, but my suggestion is don't base your whole world around a girl, cuz love is a fickle thing. Just try to think of other reasons to live for.

Well, it all depends on how you are approaching it. If you are just saying "stop it" then that's not good enough. Get some facts on what it does to him. Scare him out of it. If that doesn't work, tell him you care about him and don't want anything bad to happen to him. I hope I helped.

I recently started using Nair on my embarassing, dark, thick arm hair. First I thought about it, and didn't think it was a good idea. Then my friend used it, and her hair grew back light and thin. I asked my mom, who is very picky about these things and knows A LOT about them, and she said I could try it. I used it about 2 or 3 weeks ago and no problems during the process, but it's growing back REALLY thick and spikey like leg hair after you have it. Is this just what happens the first time or should I not continue to use it? Thanks, I rate high. (link)

Experiment, keep using it for awhile. If it doesn't work out, go back down to the good old-fashioned shaving until you can afford to have the hair nutralized by a dermatologist.

Follow your heart. If you really truly like him, then go for it. You can meet half way on the standards. Talk to him and set certain limits. Don't make them too extreme too fast. Take it slow, if he really cares for you then he'll try his best.

The fact that she lied about his age brings up the question, how close are you to her? Is this the first time she has lied to you? Maybe the reaction you are doing to that fact he is 19 is why she lied. I am sure your daughter knows some boundaries about her body. All you can do is talk to her right now. Don't punish, because that will always lead to her not telling you the next time. Tell her how you feel. She loves you, she'll understand that her mother cares for her.

I am sure there is one thing about you that you like. You can't hate everything. Try sitting down with a piece of paper and think of things people have told you that they like about you. Does he want to go to college? If not, then I'm afraid there is nothing you can do. You can't force someone to care about something, but I would bring it to his attention. Tell him you are worried about him. And offer him your help. Say you'll do what you can. That is all you can do.

Don't switch out of the classes. This is a great way to learn tolerance. I am currently in a class that I get a rash of shit in all the time, but I decided that I am going to rise above it. My question is what do they call you. If they call you a slut and stuff like that, tell the principal because that is not appropriate. They could get in trouble for those names. But if the names they call you aren't true, then don't take it to heart. They can call a blue-bird red all they want but the bird will stay blue. And if they really get on your nerves, just tell them that name-calling isn't necessary and they should consider another hobby. But, if you don't like those classes anyways then switch out. Basically, switch out of the classes if you have another reason than them teasing you.

Next time he makes fun of gay people, debate it. Ask him what's so wrong with them. If through out the conversation he brings up that it's wrong, ask him since when is another person's beliefs more important than someone elses. Just prove your point, you might change is perception a little bit. If that doesn't work, just say that you don't like it when he makes fun of gay people. Any good b/f will stop doing what makes his g/f uncomfortable.

Relax. It's totally normal. Just be glad that's its 14. Cuz where I live most girls don't get b/fs till they are 16. All I can say is the funny thing is that you get a b/f when you don't want one. I was always asked out when I was ready for a relationship. So, just be patient and one will come.

Hey im 13 years old and im a size 34B and i like to wear sports bra because they are most comfortable on me. The problem is that when I put them on my nipples show through the shirts even when Im wearing a bra. Put bandaids over them. Or buy padded if it's really bad. I love sports bras too. FYI, they make your chest look smaller, so its hard for any one to think you are a slut if you are trying to decrease the size.

How in the world do I get my co-worker to stop interrupting? She expects you to respond the split second she yells from her office.
