bras

Question Posted Saturday January 29 2005, 4:38 pm

Hey im 13 years old and im a size 34B and i like to wear sports bra because they are most comfortable on me. The problem is that when I put them on my nipples show through the shirts even when Im wearing a bra. I dont know what to do and I dont want people to assume that im a slut or anything because i think this is gross too. What should I do as far as this issue?

you should prolly go buy a normal bra. sports bras are mainly for people who do sports to go over your normal bra. once you get used to not wearing a sports bra it wont be uncomfertable. or you could just wear dark shirts, loose fitting shirts, or try finding a padded sports bra.

Hey hun! I would suggest wearing 2 shirts or something if you really have to wear sports bras. Regular bras are alot better though!!!! Their sooo much more comfortable, and you won't have to worry about anyone seeing your nipples. Try wearing 2 shirts over your sports bra, and if it still doesnt work, then go to the store and buy regular bras. I bet you would like them alot better! As people get older, they tend to like regular ones alot better than sports bras. You can get alot of different kinds of regular bras! There's so many colors too! Well, I hope I helped ya out hun! Bye!

There's more than one thing you could do. Besides just a bra you can wear a cami(sleevless shirt, tank top, spaghetti strap, or whatever you call it) underneath your clothes. But if that doesn't work for you, then either get a padded bra or maybe you might want to start wearing 'regular' bras. Or maybe you've grown and you need a bigger bra size. There's something else that you can wear but I can't think of the name, I noticed that you've gotten like 10 or more answers already so you've probably heard this, so sorry if it's no help.

Sports bra's are great. If your already wearing one with a liner and still having a problem with your nipples poking out, it's possible that your ready to go up a size. Many women wear a different size in sports bras than they do in "regular" ones.

When you get cold, turned on, or if your hormones do random things (which they will over the next several years) your nipples might show through a tight shirt even with a good bra. It happens to everyone. Adults know this from experience, and I can't imagine one passing judgment on you just for that. Style and skimpiness of clothing are much more likely to be targeted. :) I couldn't figure out what my peers were thinking when I was 13, so I'm not going to venture a guess about yours.

I do understand being embarrassed about it when it happens, though. In all honesty, most of the time, no one notices but you. Occasionally grandmothers and dates notice things like that, too, but most of the time, unless you ask someone specifically if they notice, they won't.

well there are a couple of things you could possibly do:

1. buy a padded bra (which is pretty much needed now at ur size sry)
2. Buy a sports bra thats padded they have those im pretty sure of it
3. wear like a tank over your bra but it still wont really help

its not a pleasant site really so grow out of it and you'll get used to wearing a reg. bra

HEy hunnie!
WElp hunnie! It'll be hard, but maybe you should move to a regular bra. Some of them can be really confortable..and I think as you get older you'll get used to the reg. bras. If not, try looking for a sports bra that has more padding near the nipple area. Also try asking another girl like your mother, or something.
Have a wonderful day! :)

Put bandaids over them. Or buy padded if it's really bad. I love sports bras too. FYI, they make your chest look smaller, so its hard for any one to think you are a slut if you are trying to decrease the size.

dont worry every female has that problem sometimes. just try and find a slightly padded or thicker sports bra, or wear like a spaghetti strap tank top over top your sprots bra, underneath your shirt. turst me... this will do the trick.

You could try wearing thicker sports bras and that will help you with your problem. Don't worry about it, this is normal.

Padded bras would help you with that problem. But since you like to wear sports bras, maybe try getting thicker shirts.
