there's been so many times when i've been talking on the phone to my boyfriend late at night when he falls asleep. but he'll be kinda awake, ya know? and quite often, he blurts out the most random things that i laugh at hahaha, but he doesn't even know he says. if i kind of play along with it, he'll keep talking, but if im like ....what??, it's like he snaps out of it, but doesn't remember saying anything. i've caught myself doing that before too, when i was extremely tired on the phone and basically half asleep. i was just wondering if anyone can explain what exactly causes that? like i specifically remember one time when i was zoned out like that and i said "i need some batteries." where that came from, i dont know haha. i dunno, it's kind of interesting, and i just want someone to kind of elaborate if they know what they're talking about.
Like headoverheals, I've done this before too. Before I tell you what I think it is (I could be wrong, after all I'm not a doctor) I've actually used to hide my money in strange places and my ex-wife would ask me were I'd put it and I'd tell her the exact spot. I wouldn't remember until I went to look and she'd tell me I told her.
So, if you wanted to be evil, you could certainly ask certain questions and more than likely get an honest answer. Although, that would be morally wrong in my opinion.
Your subconscious mind comes into play during sleep and during 'stage one of sleep' your conscious mind slowly relaxes and your subconscious takes over.
What is probably happening here is both are awake at the same time. The subconscious seems more dominant because sentences do not make sense, at least not right away.
You probably associate batteries with being energized and awake, therefore you were tired and instead of saying you were tired your subconscious said you needed batteries. It makes perfect sense to me.
I think we all do this, because it's easier for us to remember actions than the meaning of words. You probably remember as a kid taking a toy that was dead and putting fresh batteries in, after you did the toy became alive. So, you associate batteries with energy and being awake.

Um okay so this is gross but everytime I go to the bathroom (like, not peeing... you know.) it's like a lot of blood. & I don't know what it is. I have my period right now and I have real bad cramps but this was going on for about a week and my period just started today. It's really starting to worry me... please help? Yes, you should see a doctor. Fresh blood could mean hemorrhoids or your colon is bleeding and dark colored blood could mean internal bleeding. Don't feel embarrassed about seeking medical help. Doctors have seen it all before.

In all honesty, I don't know where you could get a shirt from Fred aka "the helium kid." If you have a youtube account you could ask him directly or insist he puts up a cafepress site. http://www.cafepress.com
You could make one yourself but you run the risk of being sued if he doesn't give you permission to use his image, although it is possible to do it, if you can get a good high quality image then take that image on a CD to a print shop along with a t-shirt or whatever shirt you want it printed on (taking your own shirt brings the cost down.) Anyway, it should cost you any more that 30 dollars to have that done. You could also have your own text applied the shirt for an additional cost. Like I said before, you run the risk of being sued because I'm pretty sure it would be illegal but if you were to ask and he says you can use his image on a shirt, then go for it!

I was driving to sonic and you know how they have those brick poles next to the order menu? well I was pulling into the space and the right front of my car, near the headlights, got scratched by the brick. and the scratches aren't deep but they are indented in a little bit.
What can I do to get rid of those scratches?
Pictures of the damage would really be helpful with this question but I understand. I used to work at a body shop and have worked on several cars of my own. It all really depends on the damage, such as did it go all the way though to the sheet metal or just scratch the clear coat, on how much you are willing to spend and how good you want it to look afterwards.
You may want to try some touch up paint. You can usually find it in automotive parts stores such as Autozone or Advanced Auto. If do get some pics up, let me know by sending a link and I'll help you out the best way I can. You could always take it to a body shop and get charged a ton too.

I'm an 18 year old male, just graduated from high school. I made the mistake of speeding one too many times, and as a result, my license is suspended. Luckily, it got suspended right after I quit my job.
It's now summer. Naturally, like every other graduated senior, I like to stay out late with friends and my girlfriend. My mom has told me to call her when I end up staying the night somewhere, but I haven't been doing that because I don't want to wake her up (she wakes up early for work and needs her sleep).
She told me today that I need to get a job and come home by 1am every night. She is unwilling to take me to a job, so I don't know how I'd get there with a suspended license. And 1am? I'm 18, for goodness sake. She said she'll kick me out if I don't do those two things.
What do I do?
Well, either obey or get you stuff and get out. Simple as that. I know that's not what you want to hear. My mom kicked me to the curb when I was 15, so consider yourself lucky. You are 18 years old now, so that means you are an adult, she isn't responsible for you now.
She'll always love you but you need to start acting like a responsible adult. It could be worse, she could have kicked you out already. Her house, her rules. You may not now, but you'll respect that fact when you get a place of your own, which may be sooner than you think.

I have had a betta fish for four months now...he's very healthy- colorful and a very fast swimmer. I feed him flake betta food (by Omega Sea), and occasionally freeze dried blood worms (also by the same company)- he is very healthy now, but i was wondering, is it better to introduce more variety into his diet? If so, what foods are good? Or is his diet already complete? Thanks
If you are feeding him a food specifically designed for Betta fish, then his diet is complete. It sure couldn't hurt introducing him to new foods but it's not necessary if he is getting all the nutrition he needs. Don't fret though, these fish don't have a long life expectancy. However, with a proper diet, good filtration and warm water, these fellas can live longer than the normal 2 to 3 years.

Here's a few things you can do to lessen and cure acne using over the counter remidies.
Use an acne product containing silicic acid.
Use anti-bacterial soap.
Avoid popping the pimples. This cuts down on spreading the infection. If you must, sterilize the area and your hands, before, during and after.
Sunlight, though doctors may not recommend that because of the increased risk of skin cancer.
If those don't work you may need to see a dermatologist who may prescribe an antibiotic.

When lightning hits a lake will the electricity travel through it to the people who may be swimming?

Yes. It's actually not the water that's conductive, it's the electrolytes in water, such as salt, trace minerals like lead, copper etc...Usually the less pure the water, (dirtier) the better conductor it makes. Where as pure H2o isn't conductive. I'd still not recommend putting the family pet and the hair dryer in pure water.
So yes, at the sign of a storm, get out of the water.

My computer I think is about to die. I turn it on this blue screen pops up then a black one does where you can boot your computer in safe mode safe mode with networking and some other things but when you try to boot on one of them it goes back tot he blue screen help!
Usually but not always this is a hardware issue. If you have installed new hardware, remove it such as a new hard drive, DVD-ROM, RAM etc... You may also have graphics driver/hardware issue. If you have an on board one, use it, if it is the on board you are using, try using a graphics card. If you can boot to at least command prompt, try running check disk to check the drive for errors. You can sometimes get a blue screen after a power failure. Taking out the BIOS battery for about a minute and then putting it back can sometimes help.
The check disk command is chkdsk /p /r

ok so i was talking with my counseller today and we came round to the idea that i dont have depression. it was just me putting a label on myself and using it as an excuse for my very faulty thought processes and general fucked up ness.

cause my faulty thought processes and irrational thoughts, belifs and behaviours cause me to be depressed and suicidal and make me want to cut.

Unless your counselor is a doctor, I don't see how her or she could give you a diagnoses. Then again you said it was an "idea." Anyway, go see a doctor, they'll tell you what is wrong. You could be bi-polar, but I wouldn't know, I'm not a doctor.

I want to be able to talk to someone and get help without my parents knowing. I really don't want to go down this road again. Iam staying with my cousin for a little while during summer vacation and my cousin who is autistic has me constantly going back and forth to my aunts house when i spend the night with my aunt with him instead of my cousin to look for movies at his house when it's pitch black outside and iam terrified of the dark and i know this may seem silly becouse iam 19 years old but we live in the country right by alot of woods and iam scared something will come out of the woods and get me and i can't tell him i'll go over there and get it in the morning becouse he's spoiled rotten and he'll pitch a fit if he dosn't get the movie he wants right then and there what should i do?
How can i get over my fear of the dark so i can go next door and get the movies for him or make him understand that i'll get it for him in the morning?

Well, I think probably perhaps understanding why you are afraid of the dark might help. Most humans are afraid and have a right to be. Our eyesight isn't equipped to seeing in pitch black darkness. It's actually a survival instinct that tells you not to wonder out after the sun has set. It's possible in man's early days we were hunted by animals. So, it's natures way of keeping us alive. After all, you can't fight what you can't see.
I used to live in the country too and a few times I'd have to walk to my grandma's house, past an old spooky cemetery too! I was a teenager then too and it would creep me out. I guess I never really got over the fear of it but I'd always take a flash light or have someone walk with me. Maybe you could have him walk with you to get a movie also. At least then he might be able to understand what you have to do to get a movie.

when you are ovulating, do you have any symtoms? according to the ovulation thing, i have been ovulating these past couple days and i have had stomach aches, my vagina has been sore (like when i'm on my period), alot of discharge, headache, and it feels like i have a fever. are these symptoms because of the ovulating do you think? Well, according to my wife's gynecologist, "Usually right before one is going to have a period...Up to three days before, you are the most fertile." I don't know if that implicitly implies to my mate or to all women but, it was a general question posed to the doctor. I would assume that because the question was general and according to her, the egg sheds if it doesn't become fertile, thus causing a "period." So, my point is, if it was a general answer then you can count on yourself being the most fertile with three days of your period, during your supposed ovulation. Then, if I were I girl, that's when I'd start to look for symptoms. I hope I helped.

i constantly (meaning every 6 months or less) have to replace the brake pads in my '02 dodge neon. i know this can't be right/good. my brakes squeal terribly at the slightest little stop. i'm not a bad driver either, i just go slightly over the speed limit... but even so, that shouldn't affect the brakes THAT much should it? if anyone has any tips on how to make my brakes better in general, please share! i've tried to google the best brake pads for my car impaticular, but all i get is pages to buy brake pads and no reviews i find helpful.
Sounds like you got a case of warped rotors. That's what the pads compress when stopping. You can have them "turned" at Autozone for pretty cheap. Also too make sure when you are replacing the pads with a warranty on them. Usually at Autozone they'll have either a one year or a lifetime warranty on them.
Here's a sure fire way to tell you have warped rotors. The car shakes or shimmies under extreme braking or during repeated stopping such as in stop and go traffic, like stopping at every gosh darn red light.
If that's not the problem and you said it's been squealing. Have you applied some anti-squeal gel to the back of the pads before replacing them? Have you replaced the back brakes too? Sometimes drum brakes will squeal too. Although I am not sure if the 2002s came with four wheel disk brakes or disk/drums.
Here's what I'd do. I'd check the pads to make sure there's not excessive wear. If there is buy a different brand of pads and get a higher warranty.
I'd also buy some brake cleaner and thoroughly clean the calipers and surrounding parts. I'd then take the rotors off and have them turned. I'd then put the anti-squeal gel on and then while the car is still jacked up, bleed the brakes.

Interesting question. I guess you could so as long as the PSI (pounds per square inch) are with in levels, not sure what they'd be but I assume the air compressor would be higher. On the count of tank size and motor strength, but probably around 50 psi for normal on an air compressor. Also to, moisture content. Most folks don't realize that if you are working on a project, saying painting a car in the summer time using a paint rig, you'll need a way to filter out the water contained inside the compressed air. This is probably not a problem with low compression systems such as I would assume in an air brush system for painting nails. I bet you could get it to work but would probably be more of a hassle.
You could also try reliving some pressure from the tank after you unplug the system. Let it down to around 15 psi or so and test it out then. Drop it down further by releasing air until you've got a good steady flow and note the psi on the tank's guage. You'll have to plug it back in and let it reach that level again if the pressure falls to low. Reason I say unplug it is because those tanks have a pressure regulator in them and when the pressure drops to far it will kick the compressor on, bringing it back to the set level, which may be to high for your need.

I am 16 and a guy.. My best friend just told me that she liked me. We have been friends for a while but I don't know what to do. It gets akward when we are around the group and I don't know if we should take it farther. I need some advice.
Honestly I think sometimes the old saying is true, "Best friends make the best lovers." It's ten times better when you are with someone that knows the real you, what makes you happy, what makes you mad, what makes you cry and they still except you for you.
Some folks get lucky and marry the right person and others marry the wrong person. Dating is just that, trying to find someone who you are compatible with and someone who will take you for you.
I was lucky enough to marry a friend, a woman who loves me for me and I don't have to pretend. I think if you care for her and she cares for you then consider taking it further.
I can't begin to tell you how many folks I've met who are in their senior age who've met their life's love during their teenage years. Even if it doesn't work out, you wont go through life asking yourself "what if."
You could also easily make an agreement that if it doesn't work out, you guys will still remain friends.

i have two best friends. one is a girl, she's my sister, my life, my everything and i love her dearly. the other is a guy and for all the time we've been best friends we've told people we're married because thats just the way we've always acted. i can't describe the relationship, we bitch and fight and nag but in the end it always results in a hug and an "i love you". he told me he liked me in 7th grade but little did we know we had both liked each other on and off since then and we have now just finished junior year.
so after spending the entire last weekend at his house i decided that i would finally tell him i liked him. we spent the weekend in his hot tub until 1am, driving around in his truck, he picked me up and spun me in the air which was adorable and then we sat in his field and watched the sunset, then when it was dark we sat and watched the fire flies, just talking until i had to leave. the weekend was so amazing and it took all my strength not to kiss him because i thought he thought of us as a brother/sister relationship.
so i come into school monday, the day i decide to tell him, and i see him with his ex girlfriend who he has broken up with nine times. NINE!! in 2 years. i don't get along with her too much and whenever he's with her he starts being a jerk to me and i've told him that and he doesn't believe it. so anyway i found out that his ex girlfriend who he had just gotten over...once again, decided to break up with her boyfriend b/c she missed this guy(my best friend). now from the best friend point of view i didnt want him to go through this bullshit again so i called him after school to complain anyway while on the phone we both ended up saying that we both like each other and we both think we would be an amazing couple and he goes on to say that when hes with his on again off again girlfriend he thinks about me and thinks how much better it would be. so im thinking "ok hes going to finally listen to me and not go back to his girlfriend" but no, then he says "i want to be with you but i feel like i should be with HER. but i know i'll keep liking you because i always do, so we'll see where it goes and we have all of senior year and college to be together." so at first im thinking, ok what the hell is this but then i'm just like whatever i'll deal with it like i always do. next day in school they're going out and he has the nerve to bring her over to our lunch table and he's being his normal "got my ex back" jerk personality that he denies he has. and its like he was rubbing in my face that he was with her which is not something he normally does...ever. so he was being an ass and i decided that i was feeling a little devilish so i decided to bring up the topic of me being over at his house almost every day for the past two weeks. his girlfriend wasn't happy but i was satisfied.
SO, i cant wait around forever right? even though my best friend is the perfect boyfriend and everything i've ever wanted. now, this guy that i've hooked up with in the past wants to start a friends with benefits relationship...again. he's incredibly hot and sexy and he thinks the same of me so im deciding to go for it but im still a little cautious because my best friend says the only reason he didn't tell me he liked me sooner was because i was hooking up with this guy and he didn't think i'd want to be with him after being with my hook up buddy?

Same here. I wasn't bothered by the length either. That's strange. Anyway, I think your friend is a jerk. I think he is using you as his fall back girl. Someone he'll come back to when times are tough or when he breaks it off with his girlfriend for the umpteenth time. Sounds like you been through this more than just once. You said he was "perfect" well if he is, then he'll be your Mr. perfect and not someone else's. I'd give him an ultimatum. I'd tell him either get his head out of his you-know-what and that you don't have forever to wait.
