Hi my name is Lee Ann. I am 29 years old and Graduated from Bethany college obtaining a bachelors of music. I am a happily married woman with two kids, ages3 and 2. I currently have six books out on the market, all of which can be found on amazon. The first is called The Leaf: One fallen heart and a burning desire, my second is called Avengement of Glory, my third is called Spiral of Enlightenment, fourth one is called Prodigy of the Immortal, fifth one is called Augment in the Realm of Darkness, and my sixth novel is called Bond in the Spiritual Heart. I started this advice column to see if I could give good advice. Turns out I am pretty good, better than I thought actually. I enjoy seeing people smile when I give them good advice and they use it. It makes me feel better as a person to help people. I want to make the world a better place and I think that starting an advice column is the right way to begin. Writing is a huge part of my life, without it, I wouldn't be able to function properly. After seven years, I think I have done pretty well as an advice columnist.

Hey! How can I lose thigh weight? btw i`m 14/f Im skinny but I have big thighs ..and i really want to lose it. what are some indoor exercises without machines that I can do? Or are there any foods that help?? thanks a lot!
Cutting things like chocolate and pop helps to get rid of that. And walking alot in the house helps alot to. Walking small each day then gradually increasing each week. I had the same problem and it worked for me.
A new friend of mine (been my friend for about 3 months) who I've had a crush on for a bit IMed me the other day. He told me wanted me to fill something out. He sent me one of those "would you do this with me? how do you feel about me? etc" surveys that I'm sure we've all seen. I laughed and tried to dodge filling it out. Then he finally said "Listen, I'll fill it out at the same time and we can send it on the count of three." So we did. Both of results were pretty much the same... we like each other as way more than a friend.
Things got ackward. He told me he was seriously blushing to break the silence... we both tried to change the subject and talk for a while, but I guess we both felt weird. Out of nowhere, he shifts the conversation to "I wanted to stay single for a while, so I'm mad because I have a new girlfriend." and I'm like "WHAT?!" and he told me about his new girlfriend, but didn't explain why after he asked someone out THAT DAY he would tell me he likes me THAT NIGHT. I can't figure this out. I'd understand if we were friends for a while, but we haven't been friends that long and we're not that close. I'm sad and don't know what to do. Why would he do this? Can anyone make any sense of him?
I think he is afraid of losing you as a friend. H ehad no right to trick you like that though. Maybe he is afraid if you guys go out then break up you wont be the friends you started out to be. The best thing is to talk to him about it.

ok like i reallly hate my life. But i live in a semi good neighborhood with a good famliy (mom, dad and sister) in a good house and everything but like nothing ever goes my way. Like i dont think im that pretty.. im 14 and only had 1 boyfriend (which only lasted 2 weeks ) and all my other friends have had manyy boyfriends and like all my friends that are girls are prettier than me in my opinion. and i dont really have a bestfriend. i used to but now someone else is her bestfriend. So now i just have like friends, but only like 4 really close friends. I'm naturally a very nice person.. but you know what they say: nice people finish last. Also, im a bit of a pushover. People sometimes just "walk all over me" and i cant really stand up for myself. I am very self-conscious about myself and im not that confident.
But then i think about the poor people or homeless people who probably have 20 times worse life than me and it makes me feel bad that i complain about my life when i should be thankful. So my question.. do you think my life is good or bad? is there anything i can do to improve my life? or should i be thankful instead?
Your life is normal. Its not good nor bad. Sometimes you sound like you have good moments and bad. I didnt like myslef for awile either. What i did was change my appearance. Like makeup, hairstyle, or changed the color of my hair. Now that i changed my appearance i felt like i was a diff. person. Making changes is the best way to go. Never change the person you are. You sound very nice and cool to me.
What is the best possible way, form, time, and place to ask a girl to be your girlfriend? Well, maybe not the BEST, but a pretty good way. I have a feeling that this girl I know and talk to a lot likes me, and I like her. I'm 15/M, and she's 14/F. Thanks! ^^
A good way if you are friends is to write her a note. Or ask her what way she thinks of you. You could call her and talk like you would normally then gradually get into the subject. Or just ask her who she likes.
I was talking to one of my guy friends about another guy that had asked me out. I told him that I had turned him down because he was a real pervert and just wanted sex. Then my guy friend said he probably masturbates every night. Right after he said that I looked at him and his face went red. Did he just accidently admit that he likes me? Why else would that have embarrassed him? He's the one that brought up the masturbating, not me.
I think you are the reason he does it and i think he did admit he did it. i think he likes you alot so much that he cant tell you so he says embarrassing things to avoid the subject.

I'm a 27 year old female involved with a man of 34 years old for almost 2 years now. He was married before and have a little boy of 6 years old. I have the feeling that this guy is also lying to me regardig his ex wife in various ways. It feels as if he is always taking her side, etc. I want to know: Am I wasting my time with this guy? Will we ever get married? We were engaged for almost a year and he broke the engagement because of a incident that happened between me and his ex wife.
The truth is with a guy like the ex will always be a problem no matter what you do. Maybe you should find a guy who never was married and doesnt have kids that you dont have t worry about these kinds of things.I dont if you ever get married. I think that you will and if you are unhappy the best person to talk to is him and if he doesnt understand then you shouldnt be with in the first place. I strongly believe you will get married. If you dont say anything you will continue to be miserable unless you do something.
My parents are getting divorced because my mum is unhappy.
Anyway I found out that she was cheating on my dad.
I followed her one day down the end of my road where she got into a car with a guy, Mark. I know it was him because I heard her talking about him to her friends and I know its her old boyfirend.
She didnt come home that night.
I feel weird towards her.
I don't know what to do. My dad doesnt know. Should I tell him. I don't want to hurt either of my parents.
Will this affect the divorce porceedings?

I knwo what it is like for parents to get divorced. My oarents are divorced and both are remarried. It is not you and you shouldnt feel like it is your fault. The best thing to do is to talk to your mother about it. If she is cheating on your dad then he has a right to know. Think of it this way do you think you father would rather hear the news from you or some stranger he doesnt even know. It might be less painful if you told him. But talk to your mother first.

You should be with someone that talks to you and you feel comfortable with. You shouldnt be with someone that you are not happy with. This new guy that you are starting to like sounds more like your type then your current type. I think you should be with whoever you want and if you feel that you dont want to be with this guy then you shouldnt be with him.

A nice guy is the best thing a girl could want. Its good that you are friends and at leats you know him. I bet that if you give it a try it will work out for you. And if it doesnt you guys can be friends again but i think it will. But if you cant picture kissing him then he might not be the right guy but if you imagine it it isnt real so maybe telling him yes would be good. You should do what you want and if you like him go for him an dif not then tell im you want to stay friends.
my friend abby is in the tenth grade, and her older sister and boyfriend just commited suicide together on saturday(nov.5) and today..abby wasnt at school (no suprise) how long do you think it will be until abby comes back? abby is the kind of person that if she's really depressed she'll start cutting herself... how can i tell (besides the odvious cut scars)if she has?, what can i do to comfort her, (i only see her in latin, because i sit behind her, and she's a couple grades older than me, so i dont see her after school) i just dont want to make things worse for her. she's a really great person, but a little misunderstood by adults... The only thing you can do is comfort her andtell you are there if she wants to talk. A person needs comeone to be there for them when they are going through a tough time. I think it will take about a week or so. But i think that being wit ther family is helping her through this situation. And if you dont give up you wil succeed. If you believe and try your ardest you can accomplish anything

Well you could write him aletter if you have his address or just call him. You should tell him that you liek him. That stuff about long distance relationships dont work out if not true. They do work out. And maybe you could talk to him at first about other things like how is he doing and then slowly put in you like him or ask if he lieks you and go form there.

She doesnt sound like a very good friend. I think that you should find a friend that treats you with respect and true friend forgive no matter what they do. At least thats what i believe. You sound like a really nice person who shouldnt put up with a person like her. She sounds upset but 6 onths you would think she would at leats forgive you. The best thing is to hope that she forgives you someday. Maybe proving that you are sorry will help but you should never give up if you want to keep you. If you keep trying you will eventually convince her.
I am a shy teen girl in high school and I recently meet a guy and I felt an instant connection, but I'm not sure if he did. It seems like he likes me but I'm not sure. Well if you have a friend that asks him if he likes you and you find out from your friend it wouldnt be the same like him doing it to you. It sounds like he likes you alot he is just shy to. I think he feels the same way as you. He is araid to ask you out b/c he is afraid that you might reject him so you should ask him out or have your friend see if he likes you. You could write him a note or call him or just ask him face to face.

I have definitely been there. My ex's friend was hott and i was attracted to him but i was also liked my ex too. The thing i thought if me and my ex were meant to be we would still be together. And also if we did get back together the problems that we had when we broke up are still going to be there. I think that if you like the friend more you should get with him b/c you never know how long he is going to be there.
I've been having alot of problems with my life latley ; and it's all starting to really weigh me down.
1) I was diagnosed with scoliosis the other week. Now I might have to get a brace or even surgery.
2) Today I went to the dentist to get my gums checked out before I got braces on. Turns out my lower gums are weak and I need surgery to fix them. Then I need two permenant teeth pulled then I will finally get my braces on.
3) I'm going to be kicked off of the cheerleading squad cause I will be missing 7 games during my recovery from the surgery. I will also miss several practices with my every other week check-ups on my back.
4) My dad's getting a pay cut in 2 weeks.
5) We're moving.
Since my dad is getting a paycut ; we are watching our budget. Now that I have all these surgerys, and other problems, I will cost my parents over $8,000 in treatments ; check ups ; and surgeries. My mom is constantly reminding me that I'm the one thats costing them so much money. There is nothing I can do about it though! I didn't purposley screw up my back. I didn't all the sudden decided I want weak gums to have to get surgery and cost them thousands of dollars. What do I dO ? I can't take the guilt and pain. The Surgerys are scaring me half to death, my mom isn't helping, and all of my families troubles are my fault. Help is appreciated .. if it's not to much to ask.
I know your situation. I have the same back problem but i didnt have to have surgery. The best thing is to relax and these kinds of things are things in life that test you. They will work out. What if they did one surgery at a time instead of both at the same time. There are programs where you can get insurance for that type of thing that way you only pay payments. I pretty sure there something like that around somewhere. Your right this isnt your fault and you shouldnt blame yourself and feel guilty. My family is going through a similar struggle sometimes it is hard to get by i mena me and my brother are in college we had to go to JCC so we could get in free and that is a good idea. Well i work a job and i sometimes have to lown my mom money to buy groceries or whatever. The thing i do is pray. He hears me and he makes things ok for us. Maybe if you did the same maybe you woul dget the same results as me.
I really need help. I don't know if the guy ment anything by this but it is really getting to me. Today I was on the phone with a good friend of mine,well then another friend got on. He knows I like his cousin. And I like his cousin a LOT! I think that he likes you. And i think that he knew that if he told you, you would tell him that he you like his cousin. Well he didnt see the point in telling you b/c you like his cousin so he hept it a secret util that day. I think that if you might like this guy you should get him before he gets away. You may never have another chance to date a senior. But to find out for sure you should ask him. You guys are good friends so you can talk to hm about anything. If you dont like face to face tal then write him a note or even call him.
On the lower part of the left side of my back I have this hard lump. It almost feels like a bug bite whenever I poke it, but it's just really hard. It's shaped almost like an egg. I have no idea what this is, does anyone else know??
It sounds like it could be a tumor but the best thing is to check with a doctor b/c if you dont it could be serious. If it is kind of big ad really hard. Those are what tumors are but if it is red and a little hard it may be a pimple but i am pretty sure it is a tumor.

A guy cant control what he does it is something that we hace that they dont. He sounds like someone you shouldnt date but you never know he might have changed. You should at least give it a shot and if it doesnt work out at least you tryed. You really like him then you should go after him.

You dont want to do that. Whatever the problem is cutting yourself wont make it go away. Even if you die the problem will still be there. You can leave me an inbox if you want to tell me your problem. To keep your mind off of what you are about to do why dont you find something to do that you enjoy so it will keep your mind off of it. There are so many differet ways to solving your problems than with hurting yourself.
