I have read that you are a Christian, well so am I but I am struggling with anorexia and I am wondering what the bible has to say about it. I am asking you because I am afraid to ask my youth pastor.

Thank you for asking. Honestly though, I'm very well studied on anorexia and the Bible, but here's my best go:
The Bible says that eading disorders are sinful. The Bible says your body is a temple and you should take care of it. This includes proper nutrition, exercise, and sleep.
"Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you? If anyone destryos God's temple, God will destroy him; for God's temple is sacred, and you are that temple." - I Corinthians 3:16-17
That's pretty clear, it specifically says that if someone destroys His temple (your body) that God would destroy him. This means that if you don't care for your body, smoke pot, smoke cigarettes, or abusivly drink, you're destroying God's temple, and God will punish you. Pretty harsh, eh? This is because God loves you and doesn't want you to suffer. Crazy, huh? God doesn't need us. We are worthless, yet He loves us so much still! Acts 17:24-25 says "The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples made by hands. And He is not served by human hands, as if He needed anything, because He Himself gives all men life and breath and everything else." - pretty harsh! This is saying that God doesn't need us! That's because He doesn't, but, according to this verse, God still loves us!
"Consider how the lilies grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet, I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith!" - How wild is this?! God loves us so much that He would clothe us as he does the flowers of the field!
I believe that we are God's temple, that God loves us too much to let us go, thus we should care for our bodies - His temple. I hope this answers your question.
You shouldn't be afraid to go to your youth pastor, though I understand that you are. Remember, he's there to help, and if nothing else, ask him to pray for you.

I have a horse, well.. five horses, but let me tell you this: It's not easy, cheap, or fun at times. I buy fifty pound sacks of feed, mostly about twenty at a time. I go through a sack of feed in probably four to five days. This is because I have five horses, and they eat more than one horse would. When I only had two horses, it took me probably a week and a half (or more, I don't really remember) to go through one fifty-pound sack of feed. I purchase whole oats (this means they aren't cracked, thus less meat of the oat is recieved by the horse) and sweet feed. I feed more oats than sweet feed just because of the sugar content in sweet feed. Where I buy my food is at a bagging plant. This is where the food is harvested, sorted, mixed, and bagged. It is alot cheaper at this sort of place than at a co-op. It costs about $4.50 per fifty-pound sack of feed at this bagging plant, where as at the Co-Op, it is almost nine dollars per fifty-pound sack of feed. You also have to take supplements into consideration. I do not feed these, but some people do. The most common supplements are for stiff joints, daily dewormers, electrolites, or pain medication. I use a rotational dewormer. (the kind that comes in a tube.. the nasty, white, pasty stuff.. that's it! lol) Don't forget water. Everyone's utility bills will be different, but horses drink about 15-25 gallons of water a day each! This is alot of water.
Don't forget shots and dewormers! The price varys everywhere, but you'll probably spend at least $100 on dewormers and shots every year.
Shoes are not always needed. None of my horses wear shoes. I have American Quarter Horses, and they all have black hooves. (strong hooves) So they don't need shoes. Most shoes cost about $35.00 per shoe. This is not for four shoes, but for one shoe. If your horse has navicular disease, the shoe price goes up a bit.. or if your horse wears speacial shoes (for trail, reining, jumping, driving etc.) then the price goes up some.
For a vet, the price varys per vet. It all depends on the resources they have, and what they're doing. If it's a normal check up, then the price will be (probably) from $50-$80. Maybe less. If your horse has colic, then the price will vary on how severe the colic is. Sometimes you can purchase colic kits from your local vet and then you can care for your own horse when he/she has colic. I have a colic kit.. it was about $25. You should have a horse examined by the vet at least once a year (just a check up) and if the horse is sick, then the vet should come then too.
You didn't mention fencing, housing, or stall bedding. All of these things are quite important, and not very cheap. If you're boarding your horse at a boarding stable, then the price of that is there too. (this, agian, varys per barn.)
Though expensive, if trained correctly, a horse will be your friend until the end, and it's always something to treasure in your life and heart! Have fun with your horse!!

If you're a guy and you just wanna go up and hug a guy, no, I don't think that's normal. I can understand it if you hadn't seen someone in forever, and it's a hug of greating.. but not just walking up to a dude and hugging him. But, I'm a girl, what do I know? If you still aren't sure, ask a school counselor or a parent.

Hey guys,
My older sister wanted to know if a snake can grow it's head back if it gets cut off. She thinks that she heard that somewhere, but she's not sure. It seems to me like she's thinking of a worm or something lol. Her boyfriend was telling her that snakes can't grow their head back, but she was saying that they can. I wanted to find out for her. Someone answer please!!!! Don't make fun of the question either, because I'm not even sure if it's true. I sort of think it's true, yet I don't think it's true. Snakes cannot regrow a lost head. Snakes are not able to regrow any lost body parts. Worms, however, can regrow a tail. If the worm's head is cut off, it will grow a tail in the heads place. The worm will die of starvation, but it's a nice touch to say it had both ends.. lol Octopus, Squid, lizzards and a few other amphibians are able to re-grow lost body parts, and sharks are able to re-grow teeth.
Aren't you a sweet sister for finding out? lol That's why if you cut a snakes head off, it dies. But it's more fun to just stab it.. or set it on fire.. :D

my cat constantly follows me and everytime i sit down she comes to sit on top of me.. i will get up andmove somewhere else but she still sits on me.. i push her away but 2 minutes later she comes up again.. i know its cute and everything but it just really annoys me sometimes.. does anyone elses cats do this.. how do you get them to stop

Hmm.. my cat does this too. If it is keeping you from doing something you should be doing (homework..) then lock the cat in the bathroom, bedroom, closet etc. If you're willing to attempt to discourage this habit, whenever you're sitting down, and your cat tries to sit with you, take a spray bottle full of water (anything else might hurt her) and spritz her once for every time she attempts to sit in your lap. Pretty soon she'll get the idea, and go somewhere else. Also, if you ignore a cat, they get bored quite easily, but as long as you're paying attention to them, they'll stay with you. (there are acceptions to this, mind you!) If you've got somewhere that the cat knows is a 'no-no', sit there. For instance, if your cat would be in BIG trouble if she sat on a certian chair, sit on that chair. If you don't want to use water, take a newspaper (only a few sheets), roll it up, and every time she tries to sit with you, push her away, pop her once on the rear, and say, "No" firmly.

I would assume so.. because if it's not normal, then both of my cats are abnormal. I have a male and a female cat, and both are heavy droolers. I believe that when the cat is happy, it's being petted or whatever, the cat's salivary glads work overtime. (why, I do not know.) This excess saliva cannot be controled, thus, the drooling. Don't worry, Jack loves you!

Ok, wow. I'm actually the worst person to ask .. I think the furthest I've gone is a hug.. dude. Ok, I'll give it my best shot ... I don't know how to do it either, but I don't think there's a specific way. I think it's mostly a 'trial and error', 'touch and go' sortof thing. I'm assuming that you and your boyfriend put your tounges in each other's mouths, but I'd let the guy lead. I would also assume that the guy's tounge would go on top or on bottom.. it depends on where he puts it. ;) If you're ready, let your boyfriend lead, and.. just 'go'. Don't do anything you'll later regret, though. Sorry I couldn't help more.

My sympathies to the Pope's followers and those who knew and loved him. I am truly sorry the Pope has passed away, but, it was going to happen. We all knew this. The world is not going to come to an end. Just because there is no Pope currently doesn't mean there isn't a God or a Jesus who loves you very much! Christ, our Savior, is still alive and loves us so much! We don't need a Pope to "save" us, or for us to go to for "confessions". We should confess to Christ Jesus, the Messiah. A person may be called into ministry, but the ministry is made true by the one who deemed the minister. --What that means is, the Pope wasn't what made Christianity or Catholocism (I'm sorry if I misspelled that) true. It is God the Father who makes our faith real. Without God's love and gift of eternal life through His Son, Jesus, we'd all be condemned to burn in Hell for all of eternity!
I am sorry the Pope passed away, but the world is not going to come to an end. I believe that there will be a new Pope appointed, and all the people who share a common faith with him will love him.

okay- so heres what I see.
I see all of thse girls, and some guys, asking about Sex. will I get pregnate this way, what about this.
and i always answer saying, you should wait, what if you get pregnate, and a whole bunch of stuff to think about like money parents will he leave you- just to name a few.

I agree with you again, Kels. Sex before marriage is just asking for trouble. But sometimes you have to realize that ignorance can't be argued with. If someone is stupid enough to have sex with fifteen guys in one month, they deserve to be pregnant with no child wellfare. That's just dumb. But if someone's honestly asking, it is a WONDERFULL thing to tell them that they should wait, save sex for marriage. I believe that abortion is the same as murder. If you go to an abortion doctor or have an abortion, you've committed murder. This isn't an unpardonable sin, but it's still WRONG! I totally agree.

I agree with you, Kels, when you give your honest opinion, and the person totally flips out on you, cusses you out, calls you names, and gives you a one.. yeah. I know that feeling and problem. I agree with you. I do realize that it is what the person honestly thinks! If you tell them something honest, from your heart, and then they rate you really low... that's not cool. I understand rating badly if the answer was something like "go bake pie" or something, but I don't give answers like that! Very, very few people here on Advicenators do give answers like that, and those who do, are asking for a low rating.

I guess it's normal.. if it's not normal, then we're abnormal together! Believe me... I have vivid dreams almost every night. Sometimes it's funny.. last night I was forced (literally drug)to a beauty pagent for some girl at my church.. and for some reason she had to know the parts of speach (you know, nouns, pronouns, adjectives etc. and what order the sentence should be worded - you know, adjectives modify what? Etc.) and this girl had NO idea what was what. I had to counsel her backstage, but I only had about thirty seconds with her.. and when she lost, she blamed on me, and we got into a fist fight! lol That was awesome... considering I was the smaller of the two parties.. but it didn't help her that she was in a tube-top, sparkely red dress.. lol!! Yeah, I'd say it's pretty normal. But if it's something that's hurting you, then you might wanna talk to a parent about it. (I've had dreams where I've thrown myself over cliffs and had to go to the ICU and I had a headache when I woke up! lol)

You can delete the question by going to "Edit Answers". This is under the title of "Welcome, *username*!" It's the sixth link down. Click on this, find the question you want gone, and delete the text. Or, you can go to the question on your column, click "View", then click "answer question" and delete the text that way.

Whats a disk defragmenter? My computer is very slow and my cousin suggested that I use the disk defragmenter and I've tired, but it doesn't seem to be working, I'm not even sure how it works. Can anyone explain this for me? Thank You. (link)

A Disk Defragmenter is a program on the the computer, for the computer, that compresses empty space on your computer and changes the file orders so your computer will run faster, smoother, and you'll get better results. If you have programs on your computer that you no longer use, delete them. To do this, go to the Start Menu, then click on Control Panel. From here, go to Add/Remove Programs. Delete (remove) any program files that you're no longer using. For instance, if you downloaded the free Paint Shop Pro 9 trial, and your trial expired, the files are still there, taking up space. What you'd do is find Paint Shop Pro 9 on the Add/Remove Programs list and click 'remove'. To get rid of files that you no longer need, you can do a disk cleanup. This will only remove files that haven't been opened in many months or are blank. To get rid of even more files, go under folders that you've created, as well as My Documents, My Pictures, My Music, and My Movies and delete files that you no longer use or want. As a warning, don't delete anything that you don't know it's purpose. This could have a negitave effect on your computer or other programs.

Well.. I wouldn't go for it just because it could be dangerous. If you're over eighteen, then you have the right to do as you please.. this is also the age that rape becomes legal. (it also is called "sex" at this point.) Six years is a very large age gap, my friend.. maybe this person thinks of you as a sister? (you're a girl, right?) Because sometimes guys will "adopt" a younger sister or brother and basically keep them under their wings.. keepin' them cheerful, helpin' with homework, makin' them feel special.. OR, on the other end of the scale, you could say that this guy is only trying to use you. Maybe he just wants sex from this.. pleasure. Maybe he's only interested in your body. Or, in the middle of the road, maybe he just likes you for you. Maybe he wants to get to know you better, hang out, maybe date? I wouldn't do it, just... I wouldn't. I would, however, be his friend, talk to him and stuff.. but not let the relationship excel from that stage. There is no answer to this question that is proven.. because I cannot tell you what is going through this person's mind. If you're really ambitious (or bold..) then ask the person if he (or she.. if you're a guy..) likes you as more than a friend. Or get a friend to ask him. Be careful.. don't do anything you'll later regret, my friend.

Ok I have a boyfriend, and I just wanted to make sure that it was normal to think that he is a better person than you. He is smart, funny, nice, and overall an AMAZING guy. I just feel like he could do so much better than me! I know it's a silly question, but I just wanted to know if others felt the same? Oh, yes.. know it well, actually. Sometimes I'm just happy to know a person 'cause they're so absolutely AWESOME! I know how you feel, I think this often, "Why in the world do you hang out with me? There are much better people out there!". I was writing in my prayer journel, and I try to be very, very specific when I write, and I was attempting to describe how I felt about a friend and our friendship... and it was useless. There are words in my head, but I can't make them come out making any sense! Is that what you mean? Because if that's what you mean, I know the feeling quite well. :)

Hmm... what model is your computer? I think Paint Shop Pro 9 is only compatible with Windows ME and up.. or maybe it's Windows 98.. do you have Windows and Microsoft? Or an Apple or a Mac? If it's an Apple.. I have no idea, but if it's a older Mac or PC, then that's probably the problem. BTW, my Iconator name is "GrimlinRK" lol.. oh, I've never made icons that are dolls.. I do alot of requests that are just words.. (i.e. - "Kathleen loves John" or something like that) and I use pictures, downsize them, add words, throw my own spin on it.. and voila! an icon! lol
Try again, to get Paint Shop Pro 9 to download.. I did it just to see if I could.. it took me a while, and it was long.. and slow.. but that's 'cause the computer I'm on is a Windows 98 upgraded to an XP. If you have lower than a Windows 98, that may be the problem. You may have blocking systems installed onto your computer that discontinue the download. If you still can't figure it out, ask Napalm350z. (a friend that knows alot about computers..)

"chat room(1)" What is that? is it a chat room were you talk? how do you use it? yes, i am a person who gives advice if i need to be!
but some times the number in () changes like earlier it was 3 and yesturday it was a 5. wat does that mean also?

The "chat room" is where the members of Advicenators can go and chat. Though, it seems to be dead.. but there is a way to use it. But I'm not going into that right now. (if you can't use it either, then ask me and I'll give you the full definition..) The number in parenthasis '()' is how many people are in the chat room. Right now it says "Chat Room (3)" which means there are three people in the chat room. It changes to however many people are in the chat at a certain time.

hey... does any1 know how to make icons on iconator... i went to the site to download animation shop 3... but they only gave me the option to pay for it... not download it... can someone help (link)

I make icons on iconator.com with MS Paint (or just Paint) or the download of Paint Shop Pro 9 will work, so will the Corel painter.. I don't know about an Animation download, but I make still icons. I like them better because you can read them slowly, you don't have to fight with the fast speed of the icon. When I use Paint, I get a normal 50px by 50px icon, enlarge it, and make it into a grid so I know exactly what I'm doing. Some Jasc products aren't compatable with some computers, that may be why you can't download the Animation Shop Pro thing.

I'm almost the same age as you (fourteen.. I've got a little less than three months to go :D) and I've never kissed, held hands, or been hugged in that manner. (what I mean by "that manner" is I have a super close guy friend that I'll hug occasionally. But we don't like each other, so maybe that doesn't count?) I think it's perfectly normal, it happens to everyone at a different time, place, age, year, city... you get the idea. There's no "right" or "wrong" time. But, it'll be more special the fewer times you do it because it's like a "treat". (confusing?) You're not abnormal.. maybe you think that every one has done all that stuff, but sometimes girls will lie about what they've done to impress people. I think that answers your question..
