dude the cure is a great band. i've been listening to them for a long time. i don't know dick about alkaline trio but i do own some of the cure's albums and theyhaven't made a new album since 2000. they went on tour around 2001 and have been kind of playing small shows here and there since then. they've been on the on the scene since 1979 making all sorts of awesome songs like pictures of you. here's a listing of their tracks and songs they've done over the years.

If you have plenty of money, and this won't harm you in any way, then YES, they are worth it.
At epinions.com they were rated 4 out of 5.
And here is some of the feedback from customers:

i could preach at you and yell about how i think homosexuality is bad and how i think it's wrong. but i think you know that it's wrong, and i think you know that it's bad. people know what right and wrong is and people know how to make the choice between them. you have to remember that an act of sin no matter how big or small will feel right, will feel like that's how it's supposed to be. because that's what satan does, he plays with you, and makes things seem like they should be one way when in truth god gives us free will and let's us choose whether or not we want to be on the side of righteousness or on the side of sin.
in the end it's a choice you have to make, the only one who can make it is you, and i dunno if i can help you in making that choice but i tried. let me know if you need further assistance.

This is a mind/head/mental thing. YOU have to convince yourself. You THINK it feels right when you kiss a girl. It will be hard to do, but focus & convince yourself. Make a list of pro's and con's. Read the Bible and it might help you and scare you enough or change your mind.

hey, i have a 97 accord if that helps, and i live in the upper part of new england.
we recently had a cold spell where its been about zero farenhiet in the mornings, and when i turn my car on to go to school and let it idle for a few minutes, it revs up from about 1500 to 2300 or so, then back down, then up again and so on untill it warms up. i know a little about cars, so i assumed this was just its way of idling a little higher to warm up because its so cold, so im thinking its nothing to worry about.
just making sure that nothing is wrong...

well i'll say this much. a rough idle, or sketchy idle is a timing issue. now your engine timing has probably gone astray from it's original setting (i don't know the valve timing on a 97 accord, i haven't looked into it) but i do know that when timing is off your idle, as well as RPM's love to bounce around and never stay still. i had a 1977 jaguar XJ6 and the timing on that was way off. it liked to idle at 3000 RPM's and then drop down to 800 RPM's and move around all the time. i think what you should do is get that checked out. now timing also involves several parts of the vehicle. a timing belt, a belt tensioner, a timing chain, your pistons, your valves, your camshafts, camshaft sensors, and your engine's ECU (engine computing unit). a timing belt replacement is only like $40 but a new ECU will run you into the thousands and could cost more than just a new car. it all depends these days. but you do need to get that looked at.
secondly get your fuel injectors, spark plugs, fuel lines, gas tank, and fuel filters checked, and your distributor (though the accord you own might be coil on plug and not have a distributor again i haven't done my homework on that engine)these can also deal heavily in fuel management and idling. your fuel filters clean the fuel before sending it to the engine, the injectors directly inject fuel into the engine. the spark plugs provide the electrical spark needed to make the fuel explode inside the engine, and the coils and distributor provide the electric energy to make the sparkplugs spark. if any of these are dirty, or damaged you're gonna have a definate problem with idling, and engine performance. has your car been running slower and more sluggish lately as well? has it been moving with a bit less power? all of these need to asked and can be assesed by simply checking your fuel injection and electronic distribution system.
thirdly check the air filter and air intake system. if not enough air is being delivered to the engine what will happen is an almost choking of the engine and driving will become narry impossible. an air intake system's job is to take air from the outside, clean it, filter it, and run it cleanly into the engine. once in the engine it mixes with gasoline and is sparked to make an explosion that powers the car. but if the air is not getting in you're going to not get as much power and suffer for it. the air filter and idle don't have much in common though. which is why this comes thirdly.
everything listed here is where you should start at, and work your way down from. your best bet if you're not a mechanic yourself is to take it to someone who is and have them give it a once over with the right tools and equipment. and at the same time though, before you spend any money and any time on this. it could just be it's way of idling when it's cold and heating up the engine. unless you notice it doing this even in warmer weather and at stoplights and such i think you might be fine but once it starts to spread and grow then you need to give it a checkup.

About 3 years ago, I fell in love with a band named Queen (as my username states :P). And well...what can I say? It was love at first listen. I FELL IN LOVE with Queen. I started collecting all of their CD's, books, vinyls, shirts, etc. I've had a crazy obsession with them for the past 3 years. My whole ROOM is Queen...I know the group members, and seen the two that are still alive in concert. Queen is all I ever talk and think about...they're like my second group of parents. I don't know whether its sick or not...but I've noticed it's been getting on people's nerves. Teachers have made comments telling me to lay off Queen. SO many friends have been annnoyed by my CONSTANT talk of Queen (I've also lost many friends because of it). Thing is -- I don't know what to do....This is clearly messing my relationships up. i have all their albums, all their greatest hits CD's, and freddy's solo stuff. john deacon is my favorite member, spread your wings is my favorite song, and i see sail way sweet sister as the perfect song for any occasion. i don't like their hotspace album i think it's boring and a bit dull other than pressure. i love queen and think they're the greatest band since the beatles (another of my favorites) and i think there's nothing wrong with it, hell i say keep going, they're wonderful.

I have a few random questions about buying a used car...I'm 17/f...and I'm trying to find a car to buy for under $5,000.
1. How many miles is too many? I've always heard that cars pretty much die after 100,000 miles...but the higher the mileage the cheaper the car is.
2. What should I ask/know about the car before I buy it from a dealer or from a private party?
3. Do you have any suggestions as to what make and models would be good for a first car?

100,000 miles is sometimes a halflife for a car, sometimes a deathwish. it depends on the engine and transmission. a chevrolet 350 V8 with a 700R4 transmission will run well into 300,000 miles or more. the volvo 2.9 liter inline six will do the same. the old mercedes diesel engines as well. it all depends on the engine and transmission combination that really defines a car's longevity. you'll find that cars get cheaper the higher the miles, and this is true. because most people don't want to take a chance on something that could potentially have been driven into the ground. so a higher mileage car will be cheaper, but it will be more of a risk when it comes to purchasing it because you wont know what to expect out of the engine and transmission it has.
what you should ask or know. simple stuff is what should be asked and known. there's not much to ask or learn until you see the car in person and have a professional check it out top to bottom. but you should always ask the following stuff: does it run? this usually isn't a problem from dealers, but from private party sellers it can be. how many miles are on it? it all depends like i said. but some cars can take tons of miles and keep going, some cant. do all of the electronics work properly?you can't drive a car at night without lights, you can't have a car without working gagues and brakelights. if the electrics don't work, don't buy it. and finally what condition is the interior, and paint in? find out what you're gonna be sitting on. are there even seats in the car? or do you have to sit on old milkcrates? is the paint still on the car? is it rusted out? you wanna know these things.
and finally cars to buy. well first off avoide mitsubishi like the plague. they make terrible cars and anyone who says otherwise simply just got lucky. i've seen mitsubishis first hand and seen how from day one they're just slowly falling apart and dying. i would never own one. secondly avoid jaguar like the plague. i owned one for almost a year and it was the worst car i've ever owned or driven. just big, bulky, always in the shop, and always in need of something else to work right.

Why is it that the US Government prohibits flights directly from the US to Cuba? I know you can go to another country from the US and from there fly to Cuba, by why is direct flights from the US to Cuba not allowed? (link)

i am cuban, and i'll start off with saying that in 1963 the russian military sent nuclear missiles on board submarines to cuba from the (as it was known then)USSR. and since cuba is a communist country like the USSR was, china is, north korea, and vietnam. they were all sort of allies with each other. now the united states in the 50's and 60's became an enemy of communism, and what communism stood for with it's purely capitalistic state of mind and lasseiz faire government (basically means you can start your own business, make your own money the government will not stand in your way) whereas communism is based on everyone making the same amount of money as everyone else, and people working together to benefit the country and not working to benefit themselves. both have their high and low points.
now cuba was run by a man named fidel castro. who in the 1950's sided with a man named che guevarra in cuba. and set out to put the current cuban government aside. the government was run by a man whose last name was batista. batista essentially ran the government with the mafia. he had huge casinos all over cuba and had the cuban people pay high taxes to the government leaders to keep their land, space, and jobs. castro had, had enough and wanted to bring his people a better, more stable, and safer way of life. a life where they didn't have to worry about the mob, or gambling, or tourists, or anything ill falling them. and so in the 50's he rounded up a group of 80 men and led a coup d'tat in havana cuba, ransacked batista's estate, took over the country, killed batista, and started a new form of government. people suddenly all made the same amount of money. gambling was banned, church was banned, education was banned beyond what the government said, and life became radically different. but for the first time in ages the cuban people had stability and steadiness in their life and granted they had a lot less in the way of freedom they had constance.
cuba benefitted greatly from this, or at least financially they seemed to at first. but that went away. castro began killing off anyone who second guessed him, setting up secret prisons, and became a paranoid, dellusional, man. feartful of anyone trying to overthrow him he is still to this day a scared man, who protects himself and keeps his people brainwashed. my mother once told me that when she went to school in cuba in the 60's they would teach the children the following things. how to build weapons, how to protect yourself and identify an american, and that the government was your friend. and only those of the older generation before castro know how things were. the thing is though only a handfull of them including castro still live. castro is in his 70's. he's the same age as my grandma from cuba. and has come close to death many a time, but fidel castro keeps kicking. and as long as he's around the cuban people will be none the wiser, to the world outside, or to a world existing past the 1960s.
but in 1962-1963 for nine months russian submarines hung out around cuba, nuclear missiles never got sent to cuba, and american ships trolled the waters around cuba making sure nothing would happen. it was at this point a trade and travel embargo on cuba was put into place by president john f. kennedy. he stated that no goods from cuba be legally transported to america, and no american goods go there. and that no citizens of america go there either. but he said, if a cuban comes to america, and denounces their communist ways they will be granted amnesty and allowed in the country as a legal citizen. it became known as the wet foot, dry foot policy and stands to this day. cuba is an interesting country with a deep rooted history, and a troubled present. but hey, castro has to die someday.

camaro. the cevrolet camaro. it came out in 1967 and was on the market and in poroduction from 67 til 2002. it's one of the quintessential sports cars out of america, faster and more performance oriented than the mustang the camaro was chevrolet's answer to the mustang back in the 60's but it surpassed it in every way almost every time. it's coming back in 2008-2009 somewhere in there and looks to be a very badass car in the making.

So yeah, Like a month or few ago (not more than 2 months) this kid that i knew *because hes at my bus stop* all of a sudden made out with me...like we were totally flirty but he always had a gf and i thought that he was just like that to everyone but him and his gf broke up over turkey break *they were like "in love"* then he asked me out like 2 weeks later and we went out for 2 days and i heard that he was "talking" to someone so i confronted him about it and asked him flat out if it was true and he said no that "i was the one who changed his mind" *hah* so a day later he breaks up wiht me and says its because hes not over his ex (the one he broke up with over turkey break) and a week later he has a new girlfriend.*liar* for a while i thought it was me because i was like really standoffish cuz i havent dated in a while and i was worried about that one girl he left me for so i didnt wanna get attached, plus it was 2 days for gods sakes and at that was like the worst week of the year hah so yeah

well here in texas you have to be 18 to buy anything from an adult store. or to even enter one. or have a friend who is 18 to go in there for you. but you also need some money because they aren't cheap. i've seen em (yes i've been into the porno store, but i think it's stupid to pay for porn when you can find it for free) and they cost at least $40 or more. good luck with the search though.

Technically "flirting" is weird, especially if he has a girlfriend. Just, somehow, let him know that you like him. And just don't mess it up & act weird by flirting too much, you'll regret it, trust me.

The most you should lose in one week is 1-3 lbs. Eat 5 small meals per day. [Sm. breakfast, sm. lunch, sm. supper, 2 sm. snacks in bewteen.]
At least, this is what we were told in Phsyical Education.

i have this bleach stuff (jolen hair bleach) to lighten my eyebrows but when i use it sometimes it makes my eyebrows orangeish. i would go get them done but i never have time to go out and get it done. is there anything else i can use to lighten my eyebrows (link)

Wow...umm brow pencils don't change the hairs. They're used to fill in your eyebrows.
Anyway, If you use that stuff on dark colored hair, yes it will turn them orange. You can get eyebrow dye instead of bleach. You can compare your hair color to the dye color and get a color that will dye your hairs right.
