okay im 5'8 and i weigh 150 pounds. i want to lose at least 10 pounds this summer. would it be healthy to lose 10 pounds in 2 months? to have a good body, what should be weight be? please dont tell me 150 is fine because its not for me and i need to lose weight...so yeah. so is 10 pounds a good goal for 2 months? Well 10 pounds in 2 months sounds very reasonable goal, and i am glad you are not saying like i wanna lose 10 pounds in a week!!! because we all know that's pretty much impossible unless with lipo.
And I know what you mean about wanting to lose those pounds because I am average but I want TONED body.
150 poudns is in the range of average weight for your height but if you weighed even 145, you would look much toner. Because 5 ft counts as 100 pounds and 5 pounds plus for every inch.
So you can weigh 145 but look more toned because you should develop some muscles that would make you look toned and stuff.
What I did was I started out with 30 minutes of exercise when I just started. Which is a really good time because you don't wanna do less than 30 minutes. Otherwise you won't see that much result anyways.
Best diet for losing 10 pounds is just simple. Eat right and exercise. I know I know that's so cliche but that is only way to keep it off FOR GOOD.
Good exercises you can do
-jog
-walk, make sure you walk in fast pace though or you won't see much results
-pilate, i recommend buying one of those crunch pilate dvd's or video tapes at wal mart, that's how my mother lost weight
-using steps. you know, just go up one step and down one step and just keep repeating.
also for better result and for defined arms, use 3 lbs dumbell on each hand when you are doing steps
those up there were just overall work out however if you are wanting to do more for certain targetted areas such as abs, arms, legs than here are some
abs - definetly sit ups, don't do crunches, i've read so many things saying that they don't show that much result anyways. Also those criss cross kind of things. You know when you are in sit up position, you have your hands behind your head and bring your left elbow to your right knee and vice versa. Those are good for your oblique
Arms - lift light weights if you don't want bulky muscle, just do lot of them. You will get "cuts" in your arm but not gross muscles.
legs - squats.

for lunch, salad,
and for dinner, you can eat like normally, but just control your portion
As long as you AVOID junk food and fast food, and you control your portion, you can pretty much eat normal foods you are use to eating, unless they are Mickey D's and stuff. Serously, you need to cut out those from your diet to see the best result. Try a fruit if you are hungry or those sugar free pudding or jello.

Well losing 10 lbs is different for everyone. People who have generally large amount of body fat can lose that in shorter amount of time than people who have less body fat. Which will lead to how much exercise you need to do.

Answer to your first question: There are various ways you can tell a guy. Such as writing a note, calling, in person. But try not to do it through your friends. You can just start telling them by stuff you like about them then say something like "I think im falling for you" or something.
Answer to your second question: It all really depends on who the guy is.
What I like to do is, I flirt a little, ask people around for some feedback before actually telling a guy I like him because than I have more confidence
Which I think is the best idea because there's nothing that can help you boost up your confidence than knowing a guy's flirting back to you :D
Because some guys might freak out if you tell them you like them like out of blue just to get it over with. My current bf told me that if I just told him I like him straight out, he probably didn't know what to do.
Also there's was this other guy before I just told him, er my friend told him I liked him and he didn't really do anything after that because he wasn't sure if I really DID like him. Guy's usually doesn't like it if you involve your friend.
But then again, two of my ex's were those guys whom I just told them that I liked them (I didn't tell them at same time btw XD) and they took it just fine and asked me out.
So yeah it really depends on a guy and it's not matter of fact that he's shy or not.
Because you would usually think that shy guys will like it if you flirted with them first but from my experience, it wasnt really. I just told that shy guy i liked him and it worked out fine.

It depends on how your natural hair is.
If you have blond hair like her, then just go to Spencers and buy that hair dye thing. I kind of forgot the name of it but if you ask one of the people they will know.
It comes in color of pink, red, blue, etc.
The name for your color should be "Cotton candy pink"
However if you have darker hair, you need to bleach that part first. Then go to dying process of dying it pink.

im not fat or anything but i can tell i've put on weight and i feel really fat (my tummy was completly flat now it is a lil bigger and curvey) im trying to loose weight and eat healthy but i just cant seem to get motivated to do so... what should i do so i can motivate myself and feel good about eating healthy.. i always choose unhealthy choices to healthy... how can i stop that... also school holidays (2 weeks) start tomorro.. considering that i dont want to put on more weight.. can you help... thanxx

Alright I know what you mean. Motivation is a big thing for me too.
These are some of the things that get me motivated.
-Really fit people. Like Fitness magazines and you see all these women that are totally fit and you so want their body??? Looking at them makes me wanna do extra sit ups and all that
-Really obese people. You know on TLC channel they show like "Big Medicine", if you dont know what that is, its a TV show about really really obese people who eat like over 9000 calories per day and that really horrifies me. Which makes me watch what I eat.
-Hot guys. Haha i know that's bit weird but looking at hot guys make me wanna work out so they can look at me and think "wow she's really pretty"
Also with eating healthy, You can LEARN more about unhealthy food and what goes into making them which might gross you out. I used to love bacon but I saw how all those fat that comes out of it dries up it forms some weird gunk, it almost made me wanna NEVER eat bacon again. So learn about the benefits about healthy food.

My mom is really strict too. I am not allow to date until i graduate high school. Like that stopped me from getting a bf and all that XD
Well that's pretty much what I did. Basically told my mom I was hanging out with my friend and just chill with my bf.
There ARE possibilities that it will not work so I suggest you to ask your mom in advance so you can figure something out if your Plan A doesnt work.
You always will need a back up plan.
Since its summer you can use excuse like its summer project you have to work on. If your school have mandatory summer reading and stuff.

Well my point is that I was going for a guy that was 2 years older than me(aka, my bf, before we were going out)
Before we started going out, we got along really good too because he was so easy to talk to and nice. But he was nice to EVERYONE, so i was thinking how can i get him to notice me more than a friend, above all the other girls?
Well I would first find out "type" of girl he likes. Well not TYPE per se but you know how guys like certain things in girls? like some guys like it when girls wear skirt (which seems like most guys anyways) and if they smell good and all that.
Also we started talking on the phone. I mean I know asking for his number is bit weird but I'm sure you already have his number or at least your brother does.
And definetly like what other person has answered for you, keep flirting.
If things go well with flirting and you feel brave, try to lean your head on his shoulder when you guys are sitting down next to each other, if you feel awkward doing that say something like you are really tired. That gives you a good excuse ;)
and he will most likely put his arm around you if he wants to flirt back

Alright I totally know what you are talking about. I too have fell for my best friend, happen to be a guy, and I of course am a girl. (im 16/f by the way) So yeah I was too afraid to tell my feelings because even though im really loud and outgoing, i can get shy... really shy about that stuff... ESPECIALLY because he's my best friend. So i know what you mean there. So I planned all these "elaborate" things to tell him and all that, but I never did follow through the plan. So what I'm saying is, if things were meant to happen, the moment will come.
I mean we were just hangin out together because of school field trip, and we were in back seat of the car and I was dead tired so I just leaned my head on his shoulder, and he put his arm around me and i put my arm around him and things sort of got picked up from there.
I think that's the best way because later (we are going out now by the way) when we talked about that night, I told him how i was gonna tell him out of blue that i like him and he said that would've been bit weird.
I mean im not trying to make you do it in my way but I hope my story helped and if you need any more help, please let me know!!~

ONLY ANSWER IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT
If I run 1 hour a day, and do 30 minutes weight lifting a day, how long will it take me to get fit (if im already skinny and just have a tiny bit of extra fat I'd like to get rid of) ? Of course I'd be eating healthy while doing it. Do you expect it to take more than a month? (as i said, im pretty fit already, just have a tiny bit of extra fat!) I just need an estimation of time, of course I don't expect it to be exact.

Hey that is good enough for you to see result.
When I did that, running for an hour and doing weights and situps (for extra abs workout) i actually saw result in a week
But that is probably just me because i was obsessed with my weight so i sort of became very keen with my weight loss and gain
but other people started noticing on my second week
So yup you will definetly get result in about 2 weeks!

Okay so for soccer we have to follow a training program to get in shape for next year. Pretty much right now it is something like 40 minutes to an hour of running a day. Now I went from doing nothing at all for exercise, to doing this everyday. I'm approxamately 140 pounds and 5'5. I'm not fat, but I got a chubby stomach and legs, and I've never been in really good physical condition. My question is when will I start seeing results? Like how soon? I have just completed the first week. I've also been eating well. I know I can't get a definite answer, an estimation would be lovely. =]

Hey I was in similar situation as you. I didn't really join soccer but I joined Cross Country, which my coach made me practice at least 25 min of running but I did about an hour eventually. I started seeing result in 1st week
Well I am not sure if it was just me because I was so obsessed with my body weight (i know not good) so I eventually became very keen with my weight gain and loss.
But other people saw results too in my 2nd week.
So you should be able to feel it in 2 weeks.

Hey I can relate to your questions because I'm asian too.
Well you know how the magazines are, they dont really show how to apply makeup for asian chicks, I mean they do sometimes but most of the times they dont.
So what I suggest is, practice. Yes literally just apply make up and see which way looks good.
I, for one, thinks black mascara looks really good on me so I think you should try using black. It is true that it can make eyes look smaller BUT that's only when it's applied wrong.
If you apply it correctly, matching to your eyes, it looks really pretty.
The way i put it, i just use eyeliner all around my eyes, its kind of hard to explain in writing, sorry :(
Also about 3 coats of mascara is fine for me. I use the one from Covergirl though. Um I forgot the name but it's the one that has Queen Latifa in commercial XD the red brushed one

HEy wow I was EXACTLY same body weight and height as you were when i was 14!!!
Well the whole average weight should be 125 lbs for your height.
5 ft is 100 lbs and every inch counts for 5 lbs. So yeah when i found out i was somewhat upset.
So end of my 8th grade year, during summer, i cut down all the junk food. I literally had no chips, cookies, chocolate, and even soda which i was soooo hooked on to.
Also i started exercising 30 minutes everyday.
I did pilate videos and dvds. Pilates help you burn fat and tone you up so you won't get that manly muscle and all that.
So i just kept exercising regularly, and my lowest weight was 131 lbs and i grew 2 inches over the years. But i always go up and down in weight like crazy because sometimes i am too busy to exercise and now i sprained my ankle. But the point is, you keep on trying and you will reach your goal!

16/f.. so i am sooo sick of being known as the shy quiet girl. i went to a private school up until 9th grade, where my group of friends & i were basically known to never talk [which was bull bc we did but we werent so loud & out there]. i thought when i changed schools itd be a whole new beginning. it has been a little bit as ive been forced to open up and make friends, but soo many people still say im always soo quiet and never say anything. IT IS SOO EFFING OBNOXIOUS! ive loosened up alot the past couple of years and while i may not be the most popular girl who can just talk to anyone or be loud in class, im not a mute. im always laughin and carryin on in class but usually only to a couple people that i sit around. how can i change this? people always say oh just say whats on your mind.. well sometimes, theres just not anything on my mind! if i had something to say i would say it no problem, but sometimes my mind is just a black hole haha and i seem to be bad with keeping conversations going unless i just click with people really well. i just want this whole shyness thing to go stuff itself.. any thought? Hey hey first of all don't worry because I kind of went through the similar thing. But I guess I've changed drastically because people now sometimes question "what happen to that quiet innocent girl i used to know??"
which i think its stupid because i was never that shy in the first place, it's just that I moved from a different country and didnt speak ENGLISH that much... so yeah i had no choice but to be quiet... anyways
dont let others opinion get to your head I mean do they even know you that well to judge you like that? Nope. so why do you need to worry?
i mean i know its hard but you gotta learn to live with it. I mean its better than being called a slut or a freak you know?
Sooner or later they are just going to learn that you can't always be outgoing and extrovert. Especially when you dont know them that well.
Also it would help if you go around the class and try to talk to other people before the class start. And have your friend introduce you to other people or something like that. THat definetly helps out

hmm... very similar situation i had gone through!!!
I used to talk to him for hours on the phone, he was my best guy friend, i had a boyfriend, he was bit flirtatious person, etc..
Well what I did was, think about it really throughly. Am i going to regret what i've done by breaking up with my current bf to take a chance of being together with my best guy friend?
I mean lot of factors matter in a situation like this. Such as, it took me over 8 months to finally figure out I actually really like my best guy friend over all the other guys.
Also, we just had these events that brought us closer. Such as Prom, school club field trips, etc.
So one day I finally realized, there isn't any guy who can make me feel so comfortable being around with.
He made me just be comfortable being myself and he made me laugh and all that.
So take a step by step. Figure out what you are going to do about your current boyfriend. Then if you have a question let me know! Trust me, i went through a very similar situation!
P.S. here is to my ending. I broke up with my then bf to take a chance with my best guy friend. I am very glad I did because I am still going out with my best guy friend and I figured out there is no one else who is like him :D

Well you can start off by wearing cute clothes... Guys have thing for skirts...
Then again it depends on what kind of guy you are trying to reach out to... You know what I mean?
if you are trying to get noticed by preppy guys, then you might want to shop from Hollister, A&F, Aero, etc..
skater guys - Volcom, Etnies, etc...
Emo guys - band shirts...
Also makeup can make guys notice you too. However never put way too much because that's apparently a major turn off
Just make your eyes pop out by using right amount of eye liner, mascara, and simple lipgloss

Yes like what some of the people say, they wont find out unless you know you are doing something way beyond what you should be doing at that age. I mean I know where you are coming from because I'm Asian and i am not allow to date neither but did that stop me? nope.
And yeah sometimes i felt i should have told my mom but that was a bad idea for me. I told my mom and she got suspicious and everything.
And if you do decide to tell, make sure its the best of times when your mom is in super good mood. and You should prepare for the news in advance as in do some extra chores around the house and do responsible things in advance before telling your mom.
