MAKE UP ADVICE
I'm asian, small eyes. How layers of mascara and eye liner do you suggest?

Yay I'm Asian, too.
Well, to tell you straight out, there is no single way to apply make up for everyone. We all have to try this and that and experiment and go through painstaking process of removing and re-applying.
For the mascara, I usually close my eyes first and apply 2 or 3 coats on the top then open my eyes and apply 2 or 3 coats again [just quick, swift strokes]--moving upward in a curve. And I usually hold up my eyelashes with the mascara applier so it will curve upwards a little.
As for the eyeliner, it really varies from people to people. Black or brown is fine...sometimes I prefer a medium/dark brown color. Usually I put 3 layers on top and 2 to 3 layers on the bottom [again, just lightly. Not cram a pound of eyeliner on my eyes]

Hey I can relate to your questions because I'm asian too.
Well you know how the magazines are, they dont really show how to apply makeup for asian chicks, I mean they do sometimes but most of the times they dont.
So what I suggest is, practice. Yes literally just apply make up and see which way looks good.
I, for one, thinks black mascara looks really good on me so I think you should try using black. It is true that it can make eyes look smaller BUT that's only when it's applied wrong.
If you apply it correctly, matching to your eyes, it looks really pretty.
The way i put it, i just use eyeliner all around my eyes, its kind of hard to explain in writing, sorry :(
Also about 3 coats of mascara is fine for me. I use the one from Covergirl though. Um I forgot the name but it's the one that has Queen Latifa in commercial XD the red brushed one

For mascarra, I'd get something from lancome. <3 it doesn't clump at all. anything from them, doesn't. ask them what would be best for you. maybeline, clinque, and such all usually gets clumps. espically maybeline. dont use it. lol i tried it, and i didnt like it. for eye liner, i like lancome, or clinque. when you apply your eye liner, dont like put it all the way in. and i dont usually put it on the bottom, but i always kinda thought [atleast on me] it made my eyes look smaller. don't use black, use like blue, or if you want it to be darker, use like brown. but for blue, make sure its kinda a dark blue. but the blue will brighton up your eyes. Alsoo.... if you ask the people in the mall, in there little stands, where they sell the make up, if you ask them to apply your make up the way they think it should, they'll do it for free. that would probably really help youu.

Hey, i would use intense xxl black mascara by maybelline. I would use black eyeliner by maybelline as well. Just line the inside bottom lids of your eyes and line the top outside lids of your eyes. The mascara is seft explanatory. You use the white side, than the black.
