My name is Teza.. short for Tereza. I was born in Croatia and I speak more than one language. I'm 22 years old & I completed 2 college degrees in 3 years. My a bachelors is in Business Administration concentration in Human Resources and my Masters degree is also in HR.



I started this advice column about 9years ago and I was so young but it was something that I always loved to do. I am trying to get back to answering questions, at least a few per day. With that said, if you have questions about school, friends, make up, etc., feel free to ask.

My neighbors and I used to play out side and play nintendo at each other's houses and stuff all the time. a few months ago, though, my mom had a cardiac arest, resulting in brain injury. For a while, my mom was in the hospital, so me and my family were hardly ever home, and almost never free. She's a lot better now, and just has trouble remembering things. Since she came home though, my neighbors seem to be avoiding me. When I get on IM, they get off. I called them a few times, and it sounded like they were making excuses, but I didn't really have any grounds to argue on, so I didn't bother. Do you think they're avoiding me or am I just being paranoid? Sorry for the length, but please awnser.

Talk to them and keep contact still. They might be a little scared of what happend with your mom but let them know that everything is okay now and that you want it to be how it used to be. x0

When I was little I used to be really tan, but now I'm really white, lol. I want to be darker but it's not to easy for me to get a tan. Our yard is covered with trees so there's really no sun in our yard, I can't go to the tanning bed, and I'm not to sure about that stuff you can buy that you put on that makes you tanner... I always heard it makes you look orange, lol. So what should I do? Does anyone have some suggestions? If you need to know my age I'm 15.

If you cant go to a tanning bed then get a mystic tan. Its 60 seconds and you wont get burnt or anything. x0

How do you tell if your gf really loves you?i say i love you and she doesnt i give her really nice stuff all she says is aww thank. Sorry to tell you but us teenagers dont know what love is. Seriously..we say I love you to our girlfriends and boyfriends because you really like them not because you love them. You cant really love someone in that short amount of time even tho you may make yourself belive it. We dont really mean it. Dont be afraid to ask her tho. Just do it. She may be scared to say it because she doesnt want to get too close too soon because she might think she could end up getting hurt in the end. Its good that you really care for her and she is lucky that she has a good boyfriend. It might take her a little bit of time to say it but Im sure she really does like you too. Just ask her because in relationships you gotta be able to talk to about stuff. x0

I put cinnamon hearts in my purse, to have during the day in place of a mint [I wanted to try something different]. From eating them, I got a terrible taste in my mouth, and when I looked at my tongue it was red from the dye. Well, out of curiousity I scraped my tongue with my nail, and this.. like residue came off, red because of the dye I guess and it smelled horrible. I'm definitely not going to eat them anymore, but why do you think this was happening?

The color of the candy usually comes off and maybe they were really bad. Or the dye was bad. x0

Is it true that you can loose calories by chewing gum? I heard it today, and it makes sense because you are chewing and not eating, and I've heard that it can help you loose weight while cooking so you don't eat, so what's the deal?

You loose calories almost in whatever you do. When you chew gum it does help you loose calories well yea you wont be eating but you wont loose that much weight. x0

Im too scared to use a tampon im in my 1st full year of my period and ive been using pads how safe are tampons i read in my bliss magazine that a tampon made this 18 yr old girl slip into a coma for 2 weeks what if that happens to me!! Do they hurt? After you used one are you classed as a non-virgin? Do they tickle? What are they like?

Dont worry you wont go into coma! Well when you first use a tampon it will feel kind of weird because its your first time but it doesnt hurt. And no you will still be a virgn and they might tickle a little bit it depends on the tampon. They are acually more comftrable then pads. x0

Hey! I got my teacher this awesome gift for the end of the year, and I want to make it from the whole class. I spent $25 on it, and I want everyone in te class to pay $1 to 'chip in'. Our teacher is rarely absent, and she never leaves the room. how can I distract her in order to get the $$$?

Well maybe you shouldnt do it in class. Tell people in your class during a break and maybe you could do it at lunch. x0

A few days ago this guy (guy A I think...) called me and asked me out. I said yes and I knew he'd liked me for ages. But I haven't told that many people about me and this guy. But I have this male friend (Guy B!!) and his sister says he really likes me. I was at his house the other day and she was making jokes, so I very quietly told her about me and guy A and asked her to stop with the jokes. She was really shocked and kept saying "But 'B' really likes you!" and everything. Now she is accusing me of leading him on because I haven't told him about guy A. I don't want to lose any of their friendship, and I don't want to lose my boyfriend!
What should I do?

You dont have to loose your boyfriend just tell your friend that you have a boyfriend. Tell his sister that you arnt leading him on. x0

hi! My friend has been absent from school for 3 months and has been in the hospital, most likely with cancer. I really want to visit her and cheer her up...the problem is that I don't know what to say or what to get her as a get-well present. By the way, she isn't coming back to school...she's homeschooled.

When you go visit her bring her flowers and a teddy bear. When you see her you will know what to say to her. Just ask her how shes doing and that you hope she feels better soon. x0

okay i have a friend in argentina and her mom and dad got devorsed the other day and her and her mom and to move in to someone else's house becuase the dad is like going to jail becuase he is a really really really bad person!!! My friend is always sending me e-mail and seems really sad!!! How can i mak eher feel better i fell bad for her!!!!! All you can really do is be there for your friend. Be there for her and show her that you love her and care for her. Tell her that everything will be okay and if she ever needs anything that she can alawys count on you no matter how far away you guys live. x0

I was wondering if there's anyway to get rid of a real tan? I went to the lake this past weekend and got wayyyy too tan becasue we were out all of the 3 days. It makes me look so fake and gross.

My boyfriend of 3 days asked me out over the phone at midnight. He always calls me at ridiculous times, even before we were going out, and always tells me to call him at a specific time the next day. Except, the day after he asked me, when I called him, he didn't answer his phone.
He called me at about 8pm, apologising and saying that he was ill - but that I could come to his house tomorrow if I wanted and I should call him at 11. I called and he didn't pick up.
That was yesterday, and still he hasnt spoken to me.
What should I do?

Ask him why? Next time he tells you to call him at a specific time dont. Call him whenever you arnt busy and whenever you want. x0

ok well i used to go out with this boy im not saying his name tho and well he treated me with respect and he cared about me and he would always see how my day was and cheer me up he was the only guy who could ever make me laugh and smile when i was crying or deprssed and then i dumped him for another guy that i thought was sweet but apparently not becuz he keeps telling me and with alot of force in his tone to give him head and to have sex with him and i reallie miss the guy i dumped becuz he was the closest thing to perfect that i had in my life and when it was just me and him it felt like nothing else existed but me and him and the least i could have done was treated him with respect in return. and this is all my fault!!!

Aw! You should of never let that guy go no matter what. You made a mistake but it will be fine. Talk to this guy before anythign else happens. Tell him you made a mistake and that you really miss him. Tell him you love him and how you feel. He is really sweet so he will listen. x0
