Is it true that you can loose calories by chewing gum? I heard it today, and it makes sense because you are chewing and not eating, and I've heard that it can help you loose weight while cooking so you don't eat, so what's the deal?

weight is to stick monster pictures in your room
on the ceiling or the walls.when you have nightmares you burn up calories. The brain burns up
calories too. There was a VJ who had nightmares
and ran a lot.He had lost a few pounds by morning.
he was not fat even though he ate as much as five or six people. You burn up calories just emagining
that you are running. Why do you think you sweat if you have a bad dreamIf you do not belive that take up tennis or swimming somthing that is fun.
It burns up a lot of calories. [ juhi's advice column | Ask juhi A Question ]

Same with cooking. Because you are up and doing something not because you aren't eating. If you want to burn a lot of calories, enough to make you lose weight, you have to do some form of exercise. Hope you're on the winning side of the bet. :) [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]
rememberxforever answered Friday April 8 2005, 6:56 pm: well you do burn calories but it doesnt add up to much (especially if you have really sugary gum)
and you can loose weight while cooking if you chew gum because it confuses your body and thinks you have had a meal if you chew gum for a long time. but its not healthy at all. [ rememberxforever's advice column | Ask rememberxforever A Question ]
S_C answered Friday April 8 2005, 4:44 pm: You can lose calories just from sleeping, so yeah you can lose them from chewing gum.
It's the amount of calories that make a difference, like you'd lose a lot more from running than from sleeping. Get what I'm saying? But yeah, you lose calories from anything and everything.
Hope I helped, <3 always, Kate [ S_C's advice column | Ask S_C A Question ]
Karen answered Friday April 8 2005, 4:42 pm: Yes, it's true that you can lose calories by chewing gum but there are other ways that allow you to lose calories in a healthy way. Losing weight by chewing gum is not healthy and you will lose calories no matter what you do such as walking, sleeping, and basically doing anything that involves physical movement. mrs_radcliffe answered Friday April 8 2005, 4:23 pm: You lose calories buy doing anything really. But people say its true that you do lose weight if its sugar free chewing gum, if not then your putting a little extra on. Until your body gets rid of it.

jbdreamer answered Friday April 8 2005, 3:59 pm: You loose calories while doing anything, even sleeping. It's just a very insignificant amount. Walking up four flights of stairs is only about 10 calories lost. So don't plan on loosing weight by chewing gum. [ jbdreamer's advice column | Ask jbdreamer A Question ]
