Hey! I got my teacher this awesome gift for the end of the year, and I want to make it from the whole class. I spent $25 on it, and I want everyone in te class to pay $1 to 'chip in'. Our teacher is rarely absent, and she never leaves the room. how can I distract her in order to get the $$$?
HyperactiveMiss answered Saturday April 9 2005, 7:20 pm: That's very nice of you! What you can do is talk to another teacher. Tell them about your plan and ask them if they could get your teacher to leave the room for a "teacher to teacher talk" during class.
If you can't find a teacher to help out, maybe you can get a student to pretend they have an issue and need to talk privately to your teacher.
Remember that you never know when your teacher will step back into the room. This means you're going to have to make it quick. I would suggest you tell the class about your plan and tell them to pay the one dollar at a specific location after school. Good luck! sshelbyy answered Saturday April 9 2005, 3:00 pm: i think you should tell one of the kids to be like, "mrs.... i need to talk to you in the hall in private. its really important." And then ask everyone to pay the money.<p> Or get everyones emails and email them, or call them. [ sshelbyy's advice column | Ask sshelbyy A Question ]
xOtWiXi answered Saturday April 9 2005, 2:05 pm: Try talking to classmates at lunch, tell them to spread the word to the rest of the class, and to see you after school or something! Or, pass a note around asking who'd like to chip in! If you need anything else, just message me! ♥ [ xOtWiXi's advice column | Ask xOtWiXi A Question ]

PsycoSkitz21 answered Friday April 8 2005, 9:18 pm: Get another teacher, to call her into her room. Teacher's love seeing students do good for their teachers. But in the gift, include the teacher you got to help you get her outta the room!!! It's niced to feel acknowledged. Once that teacher gets your teacher out of the room, you discuss really fast, then you can work it out from there :) hope that helps! [ PsycoSkitz21's advice column | Ask PsycoSkitz21 A Question ]
rememberxforever answered Friday April 8 2005, 7:09 pm: you could tell them at lunch?
or IM and email everyone.
or call 3 people and tell them to call 3 people and so on until the whole class knows.
SimplyMe answered Friday April 8 2005, 10:26 am: During gym or lunch.. or in between classes.. get a couple fo your friends to spread it amongst the class.. just be like 'Can you chip in a dollar for a present for the teacher".. this way if she does find out she still doesnt know what it is..
and by telling your friends to spread the word will look less suspicious.
Teza answered Friday April 8 2005, 7:44 am: Well maybe you shouldnt do it in class. Tell people in your class during a break and maybe you could do it at lunch. x0 [ Teza's advice column | Ask Teza A Question ]
