All my friends have had a boyfriend before except me. I really want one, but there is no one that seems right for me. A few guys have asked me out, but i have refused. I am more obsessed with school than guys, but sometimes i wonder if i should spend more time trying to get a boyfriend. I also find that most boys i was attracted to had been my friends. I am not sure why that is. Maybe because i knew them so well?

im in the same situation so it may not be very good advice, but ill try. i say that you have the right idea about school before guys. and its alright that you like your guy friends, i do to. it probably is because you know them well and just grow interest in them which you cant do with other guys because you probably dont go up to random guys and get to know them; so it makes perfect sense. i would say that if you like someone, ask them to the movies or something, but try to balance boyfriends/friends and school. good luck

alright my ex asked me to prom, and hes a big dancer type and i dont really dance that way with guys other than slow dance.. i wanna go with him ALOT but im scared that hes gonna think im a loser if i dont dance like that with him..wut do i do?? please help me cuz i havent given him an answer yes or no yet.. first i say go with him, who cares if you cant dance. then maybe just hang out with him before and just bring up you have no clue how to dance and hope he'll show you some tips. otherwise im sure if you go with him by the second or third dance you'll get the hang of it. good luck

Okay so I am inlove with this guy at my school. So much so that it hurts. He is a pretty shy mexican boy. He has been a friend of mine for about 4-5 months, but I only realized about two and a half months ago that I like him as more than just a friend, and ever since I have been falling more and more inlove with him. He and everyone at the school knows I like him. His brother is not at all shy and calls me future sister-inlaw and when other guys are messing around with me he tells them to leave me alone because I am his brothers lady, ect. Most of the mexican girls at my school don't want him to be with me cuz i am white or whatever, neways, at lunch and stuff he walks by me slowly by himself because he knows I will follow him and we talk but never about us in that way. I have two classes with him and one i sit right next to him and we laugh and talk like always have. But still never talk about us. It hurts so much seeing him there right in my grasp but I can't touch him. Loving him but not being able to tell him directly. Wanting him but not having him. I wish he wasn't so shy. All my friends say to make the first move and ask him out, but I dont want to be to eager. I have called him and we talk but my bestfriend was on the line too.(we are all pretty good friends) But I am too shy to call again. I am so confused and sometimes I think to myself what are you doing even trying it will never work, but then I think of how much worse it will hurt if I don't try. I am a very pretty girl and have a lot of friends and all so it isn't like I am a nerd and cant have him. There has never been someone I wanted and couldn't have which makes it even more painful cuz this hasn't happened before. Do you think he likes me and what should I do? I am going to see him tomarrow for the first time in like 4 days. Please tell me what you think I should do. Sorry it was so long

i definately think you should ask him out, or at least talk to him about it. since your in some classes together, call him for homework, act like you dont know. then just ask him how he is, and start leading into how you like him. then just be like, now i dont want to ruin our friendship, but i love/like you a lot and i was wondering if you wanted to go out...or something like that. just ask him, maybe only to the movies, but so you guys are alone to talk about it. it will hurt A LOT more if you try to forget about it, trust me. and i dont think race should have ANYTHING to do about it. who cares about his ex right?...anyway, you need to ask him somehow, what do you got to lose anyway?you sound like a great kid and so does he, youd be good together!

Put yourself in my position, say you like a girl. But, you have heard they like someone else. You can do one of two things, either keep quiet and stay quiet. Or you can play the risk card and ask her out(You dont give a F if it makes you lok like a total loser) What would you do? In my opinion this girl is absolutly BEAUTIFUL. well if i liked a guy that much, i would probably go for it. i mean the worst that could happen is she says no, but at least she'll no how you feel right?...on the other hand, if youre friends with her, like good friends, i would have to say dont ask her. from experience, it totally ruins your relationship and everything gets weird, and you end up getting REALLY hurt. but if your not, def. go for it!

I've had a crash on this one guy for the last 2 years but we never talk. I see hem only in the summer and his cousin is my best friend so she's been telling me things about him and from what I gather he is a nice guy. I took a small photograph of him last summer and now I am drawing a portrait of him (I am good at art and it really looks like him) so I think I will show it to him this summer. He is shy around people he doesn't know but is two years older then me. I am really shy and I can’t flirt. I can’t get a guy’s attention even thought I am not ugly. well i say you have in's with this guy; i mean you are bestfriends w/his cousin, so you can ask her to get a group of friens including him and hang out. then show him the pic...maybe he'll be flattered?just talk to him like hes special..i mean like say 'whats up hottie' and like give him a hug when you see him and little things like that, he'll get the idea of you liking him, then make your move and maybe give him a kiss on the lips and ask him to the movies or something!

I was wondering if there's anyway to get rid of a real tan? I went to the lake this past weekend and got wayyyy too tan becasue we were out all of the 3 days. It makes me look so fake and gross. (link)

usually people think they arent tan enough lol, well sorry but i dont know of any way to get RID of a tan, try staying inside, and if you go outside wear pants and longsleeves, or if its hot, a high # sunscreen allover so you cant get more tan. sorry if i didnt help!

I told my friend that i loved him. I wrote him a letter and basicly told him that I loved him and that even though we can't be together now I hope in the future we can be more than friends. (he moved to NC) Well he wrote me back and said cool. and then he's been ignoring me for the past two weeks. Well tonight I had a new sn on aim. and I IMed his sister..obviously thinking it was her lol. and he was like this is justin. and all I could say was "oh" and so he was like "oh. that's what i am to you!" he really confuses me. I mean if he liked me the same as I like him why won't he say it?! when i had a bf and it old him he said "we can't have a long distant relationship?" and when he lived up here by me. we would be close and hug and sometimes kiss each other on the cheek. i just don't know what's happening with this. I'm fine with us being close friends but I can't stand him acting like that. what should I do? we never really talk anymore. and it seems like he doesn't want me to every talk to him. and it makes me sad to know I'll never talk to him agian. try your best to keep in touch, phone, email, instant messenger, mail, etc. communication is a key role in any relationship. you need to ask him how he feels, and see if its a mutual feeling or not. long distance relationships are tough though, expecially since you are 14 and unable to drive. but, never give up, keep in touch and never stop being friends, who knows;maybe one day youll be together for good!

A friend of mine started to like me a while ago. We have been friends since about 2nd,3rd grade. He has gone with my ex-bestfriend 4 times but they aren't together anymore and she has a new man anyway. But the other problem is that he is best friends with my ex-boyfriend (who goes with my ex-best friend). I like him back and we flirt non-stop but what if it doens't work? I think me and him are good friends but we are always playing and making sexual passes at each other. I feel bad and down when I don't see him and I accept him as he is (cute, tall and kinda smart), but his friends an I all have some sort of history. What to do, his friends are all giving us the look and I don't wanna risk their friendship. Should we stay flirty friends or go for it? i say go for it. just MAKE SURE, before you even start going out, you guys make a promise that NO MATTER WHAT, you will be friends if your bf/gf relationship ends. as for his friends, have him talk to them, they should be alright with you guys going out. and if he doesnt care that you guys have history, sounds like it shouldnt be a big deal right?update me!

This girl I like is absolutely amazing. Funny, great personality, smart, and just a great all-around person. She is also very hot. Until just recently I thought she may have feelings for me...till I said I liked her. I didn't say it directly to her but she did hear about it. Ever since she hasnt really talked to me. all i can say is give it your all. there are 2 possibilites i can see; one; she doesnt like you in that way and is throwing you a hint but doesnt want to hurt you...two;she likes you back, but is afraid of either you, or a relationship. i find that the best way to figure things out is through a friend. ask them to ask her if she likes you and stuff like that. hope i helped...update me!

wow, I don't really know what category to put this under, so I guess it works under friendship.. kinda. Anyway, I started cutting, I don't know why but I did. I don't want to, but it's really addicting.. 0.o so it's hard for me to stop. Only on of my friends knows and I just met him and I like him alot.. he cuts to, so I feel conferdable talking to him about this.. he doesn't do it so much anymore but I wonder if he is worried about me, I know my step brother is.. he knows to. Well he doesn't really know he just thinks I do it and he knows that I have a BiG possibatly of doing it.

woah, okay you just pretty much described me. well yea its VERY addicting, and chances are your friend is worrying, cause my friends worry about me, a lot. i often wonder if this is really me to, and i know its not. i am going to be a hipocrit right now, but it isnt who you are. sounds like you konw youre a good person, and you sound like one too. so talk to this guy and ask him to help u through it. tell him to ask you everyday if you cut to make yourself stop. i know if i had support from the guy i liked i wouldve stopped, so chances are with his help you can. let me no how it goes.

um yeah... dont take this as a joke question, but uh... my boyfriend who ive been with for a very long time... SMELLS really bad... and no one has ever said anything, its been going on for a year, then suddenly all his friends starting making fun of him BEHIND HIS BACK, saying that he smells, so i thought this would be a good oppritunity to tell my bf, without making it seem like i directly said he smells. but i dont think he took it seriously... he SAYS he showers every day and SAYS he uses deoderant... but i dunno, what should i do? you are right about the maturity thing. im in 8th grade and there are only a few mature guys which makes it hard on us mature girls. but personally, i wouldnt go out with a 15 or 16 year old when i was 13. at that point in their lives, all they want is sex like you said, at least most of them. there are a few, but they arent going to be the guys that ask u to get in their cars, so thats a bad idea. i cant really answer this question well seeing as though i dont know the personality of these guys, but if you really want an older bf, hang out with one your interested in, BUT make SURE your with a friend so they cant try anything you dont want on you. do that until you gain their total trust, then decide if their right for you. hope i helped!

i never heard that you shouldnt do crunches everyday?...but if you want to start toning your stomach then start with maybe 20-30 crunches a day for a girl, and maybe 30-40 for a guy. then do that for about 3 days then add like ten for a couple days, etc. also, i run everyday without any breaks, which is very important, and my brother said it would have results in about 2 months. i started running for 15 minutes everyday after school, with 30 crunches, and kept increasing the minutes and # of crunches each week. that should start results in about 1.5-3 months if you keep it consistant.tell me how it goes!

i did this for my teacher too!...ask another teacher to call her during your class and have her come to their room so you can tell everyone, then do it again like a week later to collect the money!hope it works.

A few days ago this guy (guy A I think...) called me and asked me out. I said yes and I knew he'd liked me for ages. But I haven't told that many people about me and this guy. But I have this male friend (Guy B!!) and his sister says he really likes me. I was at his house the other day and she was making jokes, so I very quietly told her about me and guy A and asked her to stop with the jokes. She was really shocked and kept saying "But 'B' really likes you!" and everything. Now she is accusing me of leading him on because I haven't told him about guy A. I don't want to lose any of their friendship, and I don't want to lose my boyfriend!

first of all, friends are more important then boyfriends. i know thats hard to hear, but its the truth. now if you dont like that advice, then i say have a serious convo. with 'guy b'. tell him youve liked 'guy a' and now youre going out with him, but you still want to be friends. if he doesnt like the fact of you having a boyfriend, chances are he will never like it until hes over you, so u can either stay friends with him, or then let him down easy and say its time for you to get wat u want and to be with 'guy a'. let me know how it goes!

ok this is a stupid thing to say but yeah, i've been under alot of stress here lately for the past year or so now.I've been starting to think about cutting I have once before but dont know if I want to again last time I did my parents found out and said they were going to put me in a hospital if i ever did it again.But I can't think of any other ways to relieve my feelings in a way only I can control. first of all i know you dont want to hear this, but cutting is not the answer. i did it for a long time and all it did for me was get my friends mad at me and ruin a lot of friendships. now whenever i feel like crap and under stress, i run or, and i no this is stupid, but i try to figure out math equations cause its my favorite subject. but you could run or just lay in bed and listen to music. sometimes i write songs to that describe wat is going on and for me that works everytime. hope i helped.
