My boyfriend's birthday is coming up and I need to figure out what to get him. In his myspace he has a picture of a giraffe ( I don't know he's just random like that ) anyways, above it hes like," my birthdyas coming up, get me this " i know he's like joking, but do you think it'd be kinda funny or something if i actually got him it? Haha.. I have no idea. It's my first boyfriend I dunno how to shop for them lol. He also was joking around once and was like," Get me a red mercedes with black interior and booming music " so I was thinking about getting him a little hot rods car. I don't know. Does it sound to cutesy? If it does, can you possible suggest some other ideas? Thank you so much.

Honestly, I think if you get him a joking gift, it might suggest just friendship. So you could give him the giraffe or hot rods car, but then say, "just kidding," and give him something else more meaningful to you both.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean with your question, but I hope I can help. Do you like anybody? If so, make eye contact with him, smile, and make small talk too. If he likes you back after flirting with him, then he may want to be your boyfriend. Boys are really complicated, but really simple at the same time. So take it slow, and if he doesn't like you back, then there's not much else to do besides move on. hope i helped! =)

I basically wear jeans and a tshirt every day. The only other type of pants i wear are cackis and one pair of camo pants.
How can i make a tshirt and jeans look cuter and more fashionable. Like, is there any cute/cheap jewelry or purses.. something to that extent THANKS!

I'm like you, and wear jeans and a t-shirt a lot. So, I add cool accessories, like bracelets, necklaces, belts (my favorite is a sequined one), cute shoes like ballet flats or boots, or even a pair of jeans with embellishments. There's basically no rules to this, so just wear what you feel like, as long as you don't wear it all at once.

Okay every year i get clothes from the mall picking things from like JC pennys and Macys and some from Aero but my mall doesnt have alotta fine clothes. This year i wanna be on top with the new teen fashions. So heres my (2) questions Is finding clothes over the net better for me? And if so does anyone know any good clothes sites? ** with good deals? (or am i asking to much.. ** lost & confused~ thanx

Also, if you want to find unique pieces of clothing, try thrift stores. Go to the yellow pages and look for one close to you. They usually have awesome prices. But if you want something of higher fashion/value, try Nordstrom.com or Macys.com, though they will definitly have higher prices.

Oh, wow, what a question. I like preppy stores, like Abercrombie && Hollister && American Eagle, but I also like higher fashion, so I shop at Macy's, Bloomingdale's, & Nordstrom. For basics, I like Old Navy. Some of my favorite brands are Juicy Couture, True Religion for jeans, and Paul Frank.

Hey. Does anyone know where you would get a work permit? I know I could get one at my school, but since it's summer, I couldn't get one because school is closed obviously and no one is working. I'm seventeen years old, and I got a job at the UPS store, but I need a work permit and don't know how to get one since school it out. Thanks!

I know what you mean. My brother had to get one too for a job...anyway, go to your local Administration Building. Ask the receptionist where you can find work permits, then just apply for one.

Alright this may seem pathetic.. but I just realized I don't like my boyfriend that much anymore... I just can't dump him because I.. don't know I juust can't do it! So I was going to try to get him to dump me.. the only thing is I don't know how!! The one thing I don't wanna do is cheat on him! So does anyone have any ideas on how I should go about doing this!?

Be honest with him. Don't go make him dump you. Then you might lose a chance of friendship after the breakup you could have had. If I were in your situation, I would tell him face to face that it's just not working. But DON'T make him dump you. That's playing with his mind, and it's not fair to him. So be truthful, and, as I always say, go with your gut. :)

I'm haveing a sweet 15th also known as quincenera similar to a sweet 16. Well I'm going to have one in about 4 months and I really need help on organization tips and things I need to do. I have a friend named Felicia and she's 16/F...all she likes to talk about is beer, boys, parties, people she hates..i don't know..she tries to act like she's all grown up now or whatever...well this morning i wanted to go for a scooter run with my other friend hannah...she was like, "umm no, that's ok i don't wanna smell like sh*t" so hannah and me went for the scooter run anyway..we had tons of fun! we came in and felicia was like "eeww you guys smell get away from me.." and she avoided us the rest of the night..(but at least we had fun! all she did was stay in and watch court tv with the judges and stuff..grrr..it's like she's trying to impress people by acting that she's not 10 anymore..(this is just an example of how she acts *all that* and *grownup*...trust me, there's tons more! she always acts like she's better than us and i really don't know what to do..please help!

Well I know what you mean...sometimes you just wanna be a kid while you can! Obviously your friend is having some insecurities (well, at least I think so) and wants to be older than she is. I would talk to her straight and tell her what's bothering you, and that you wish you could still have fun with her without beer, boys, and parties, at least once in a while. If she refuses, then she's not worth it. :)

There is a guy that I like and I’ve never kissed before and I was thinking of going for a French kiss if I get to kiss him, but then I though about it and I started wondering if it’s a turn off for guys if you French kiss them on the first kiss. Can you, please, give me your opinion? And my second question is, do guys judge you on the way you kiss, is it very important to them if you are a good kisser or not?

Depends on the moment. A lot of times, regular kisses turn into French kisses, so then you don't have to worry. It also depends on the guy. If he seems private and wants to take it slow, French kisses may not be his thing. But if you sense an immediate attraction, you could go for it. It all depends on the mood. Just go with your gut. :)

well its difficult being on my feet for 6 1/2 hours at a time while im at work. i have to dress nicely...so i need shoes that look nice as well. what would be the best type of shoes to fit this discription?

Try flats or moccasins. Black always works well at work. If you're going for comfort, definitly don't go for high heels, but you already knew that. I also suggest small shoe grips (availible at shoe stores) that don't show through your shoes if they are a little big so they don't slip out of your feet while you are on your feet for a long time.

Well, try to make him more comfortable around you. Try to talk to him when he's not with his friends (they'll pressure him). If there is a social function (either a dance, carnival, etc...), invite him to go with you and some of your and his friends, if they all get along. As to how to flirt, just go with what feels natural. Don't be overbearing, though. You want to be approachable too. Just relax when you're around him, and he'll warm up to you.

So I really like this kid. I went out with him last year in 7th Grade for a month and in 5th Grade when we were young which didnt mean much. Last year I didnt like him at all really and now I just cant stop thinking about him! We flirt all the time and two of my friends have said to me I think blank likes you and my other friend asks if I like him .. and I really do! It sounds to me like he likes you. I mean, he flirts, eye contact is good, you're always smiling, talking, etc., so I would go for it. He may just be a little confused. About this girl who said you like him, and he said you were just friends, he may just have been shy. Guys are like that. So I would go for it, if the time is right. Okay, my boyfriend and I have been together for 5 1/2 months now. Anyway, at the beginning ont the relationship we'd be so eager to talk to eachother, and talk on the phone every night, and ditch friends for eachother, etc.

Now, we don't talk on the phone for periods of time. (Right now it's been 11 days since I've talked to him on the phone) And we hang out amazingly less, and I don't feel the urge anymore to check the computer every 5 minutes to see if he's online. When I do get to talk to him, I feel so uninterested. I could honestly go days without talking to him, and it wouldn't bug my anymore. Sometimes I cry because I don't understand what's happening, and it really upsets me. Could it be that I'm just losing interest/we both are in eachother? :(

Tuesday night on AIM I told him that I felt I was losing interest in him, and he repsonded, "Geez, I like you a lot, I can't just stop." Then he put up an away message that said, "I fucking screwed up somehow." And signed off. We eventually resolved the problem, but I feel I lied. I told him I still did like him, and I was stupid to say that. But really, I feel EXACTLY like that. I'm not as interested. What's happening? Do I WANT to get over him or something..?

Don't keep going on like this is you don't feel the same way. He may be crazy about you, but it's not fair to him if you don't feel the same way. Now, I don't know for sure, but it looks to me like you have lost interest in him. I don't think you WANT to get over him, but relationships fade. The first weeks (or months) are usually exciting and fun. You're lying to your self by saying you still like him. I would slowly let him down, saying you think he's a great person (after all, he wouldn't be your boyfriend if you didn't think so, right?) but you don't want to go on like this. He might be devastated, so try to help him as much as you can. But it's not fair to him if you keep giving in. I hope this helps!

Try a pencil skirt (dark colors) and a short-sleeved blouse. You will look professional. Also, depending on where your interview is (i'm guessing somewhere professional), you might want to wear heels. I hope this helps!

hey does anyone know where i can go to get punkish style clothing for pretty cheap (tops $8-15, pants $15-25)? i know hot topic sells a good variety but they tend to get pretty expensive. stores like ross or tjmaxx don't have a whole lot either. anyone have any good local stores or online stores i can go to look? thanks!

well i'm not sure where you live, but try some thrift stores for punkish clothes. also, for accessories, try claire's. it may seem girly and stuff, but they have a lot of punky things.
i'm not sure about online stores...but delia's (www.delias.com) has a lot of t's. tjmaxx was a good choice, and marshall's is very similar. you just have to get there at the right time. hope this helps!

Talk to your friend in private so she knows that it bothers you when she flirts with him. If this guy flirts with you and her, you might want to reconsider because a guy should never come between a friendship.

I have the bestest friends in the world. but i cant help but feel left out sometimes. i know im just been stupid half the time but it really bugs me. I know that having 3 best friends will always be hard but its so awful been left out. Like they will sleep at each others house etc. I told my friends about this and my other friend said sorry i just feel more close to her than i do to you. and that just made me upset becuase i have known them both longer than they have known each other. I can totally relate to this, because me and my best friends are like peas in a pod. But a lot of times one of us gets left out. Sounds like your dilemma, right? Well, I suggest trying to plan activities where it's hard to leave one person out, like going to a carnival or something. I'm sure they haven't forgotten about you. If none of this works, I would try to have a heart-to-heart conversation, no excuses. Just try to get it out in the open, and eventually things will work out. Maybe one of you will get hurt, but that's the danger in threesomes. Good luck!

This might sound strange, but I need tips on how to fight. I know how to hold my fists and how to swing, but I'm scared to break my knuckles or fingers when I swing at someone. I shouldn't be fighting, but I need to learn how to defend myself when someone starts with me, which has happened before and I didn't know how to fight. Also, where is a good spot to hit the person so they back off?

Well, this isn't exactly my area of expertise, but I do know that martial arts is a great way to learn how to fight/defend yourself. Try taking some classes at your local community center. I've also read in some magazines that the foot is a great place to disable someone. There is a way you can step on it to make them back off. What should I get my boyfriend for his birthday (he'll be 16)? I know what he likes, but he's already got a billion of those things already. I wanted it to be different and unique. My friend had the idea of getting him like a build-a-bear that i make with a birthday outfit and stuff. Does that sound totally cheesy or is it a cute idea? I wasn't sure.. But if you have any other good ideas, please help me!

The Bulid-a-Bear is not totally cheesy. That could be an option, or you could get him something personalized, like a picture of the two of you in a nice frame, or some art you made, or something handmade. Ask him what he wants and go from there. For instance, if you ask him and he says he wants a certain CD get him one from the same genre. Or, since he's turning 16, you could get him something car-inspiried, as he would be getting his liscense soon (i'm guessing). I hope this helps!
