I'm doing a web site in my web design class about whether or not iTunes will discourage artists to create new albums, since you can buy just one song instead of the whole deal.

I looked things up on google, but I can't find any websites or blogs discussing the issue. If anyone can find a site, i would greatly appreciate it.

Or, if anyone wants to give their opinion on this, that'd be great too. Thanks!

I personally don't think it will. Artists are human & humans are greedy most of the time. Artists need to make money as well, even if they are wealthy. I think that even though CDS aren't being boughten, artists will always make profits, even through iTunes. If major artists stop making new albums, there are so many people in the world that want to be famous, so they'll take over & make new albums. It's kind of like a cycle. If one artist stops making albums, a new artist will come in & make them. Everyone wants to be wealthy & many people want to be celebrities. I searched google & could not find anything on the topic. I think that shows that there probably isn't a chance of that happening. If there was, people would be talking about it & it definately would be on google.

I know that you've heard these questions a million times, but each question is different in a small way.

I'm 15/f and school recently just started for me (freshman in high school... new school for me). It started out about 2 weeks ago when in one of my classes, we were getting quizzes back and I was still waiting for the teacher to call my name. Then I heard the teacher say this guys name. We will call him Blake in this story. So he stood up and went to claim his quiz, and when I looked at him... I was seriously like *whoa* he was so hot and I really like him. He's not like SUPER hot, like who always gets girls attention... but in my world he is hot. So I asked my friend if she knew him and she said yeah, he lives in her neighborhood. He plays hockey and during some days I kept an eye on him, just to see what he is like... and I found that he is really nice and always smiling and joking around. I really want to get to know him more.... I had a chance about 3 days ago because we were correcting papers and we had partners... my friend told me to go up to him and ask him to trade papers, but I got freaked out so i switched with another group. :(

I'm always thinking about him and I really want to get him to make the first move. My mom tells me that it's not appropriate for girls to make the first move, and I should let him start. So I've been a little flirty around him.. like laughing near him, sitting a few feet away from him, staring at him, whispering about him when he's a little far away.... etc.

Is there anything else I can do so that he will make the first move and notice me?

Oh and in class about 5 days ago, we were watching a movie and so there was this boring part and I was just looking at everyone else in the classroom, then I turn to look at blake, and he's looking at me, or at least I think he was. Oh and another time was that he was a few feet away from me and so some guy was talking to the person next to blake, and so I overheard and looked at the 2 guys having the conversation, then I looked at blake and he was looking at me. :) is this a sign?

I think you should just try to be friends with him first. Try talking to him randomly during class. Maybe go over to your friend's house & plan to hang out with him. If you talk a few times a week, he'll start to notice you more. I don't think guys should be the only ones to make the first move, even though we all wish it was that way. Girls can too though. Be friendly towards him & see where things go from there. If he isn't making the first move, just ask him to hang out sometime.

19/f. Sorry this'll be long.

So there's this guy I met a few weeks ago. We've stayed up several times in the past two weeks just talking for hours. We got close about a week ago, just cuddling and stuff but it wasn't until last night when things started happening. We were both drunk and cuddling etc all night. Finally we got some time alone and went back to my room in my dorm. We started kissing (I've wanted to for so long!) and afterwards I told him he was a great kisser. Well, his response to that was very unexpected. He said "it wasn't as good as it could've been" Wow. Major blow. I asked him what he meant and he said he thought it could've been a lot better and he'd imagined it differently. Said he compared me to this one another girl he'd once kissed (I'm only the 3rd person) Of course I got upset and that was the end of it. He left and I went to bed. This morning he came into my room and started speaking to me about it, saying I was right when I suggested he was still hung over the girl, he just hadn't realized it till last night. He didn't apologize for what he said until I mentioned I thought he was coming in to apologize. Last thing he said before I went to class was basically reiterating what he said when drunk: "it was good, but not as good as it could've been" So sadly, it wasn't just him being drunk and saying things he didn't mean. He asked me to wait just a week till he "sorts himself out" but that he really does care about me and seems to think *I'm* not ready to be in a relationship with him. I might add, it was always him making the moves on me. Everyone says he goes on about me all the time and he did say he liked me.

I don't know what to do. I do really like him, but I have no idea why he said what he did. It hurt me so badly. I'm not sure whether to bother "waiting" for him or what because I'm not sure he deserves it. So.. what do you think I should do basically? Everyone reckons he has a lot of apologizing and explaining to do and I shouldn't speak to him until he does. I just don't know where everything went wrong. Last night everyone kept asking us if we were together and he'd smile and say "I hope so" and then this happened. So yeah..what should I do about him and why did he say what he did? I don't get it. Why would you want to date someone who is hooked on somebody else?? I think even mentioning her after you guys kissed shows he was thinking about her & that isn't a good thing. He should've been thinking about you. You might want to give him a break. It wouldn't make sense for you to be hooked on this guy who currently has feelings for someone else. Last night could've been a one time thing, especially since he never appologized the next day even. You can talk to him about it, but I think you should be very stern & not give in easily. You have to sort out your feelings & see if he's worth it or not. It was really rude & you have to see if you would want to date him. If he hurt you this badly and you aren't even dating, what can you expect in a relationship with him?? I'm not saying he's a bad guy. Just showing you some possible options. It really is your decision & you have to sort things out. Talk to him or ask your friends for advice. They know him better than any of us on advicenators. You wouldn't want a relationship with someone that is concerned about other girls.

okay well our school's having the homecoming dance on friday ocotbber 19th and im a freshman so im new at it. that day is also my birthday, so what i was going to do was go to the football game, then homecoming dance and then go out to eat with a bunch of my friends. does this sound like a good idea? what are some ideas i could do for my birthday?

what do you usually wear to homecoming ? is it all fancy? or is it just something casual? since it's my birthday im going to be either wearing a crown, or maybe a pin that says birthday girl or something because i want to celebrate my birthday too!

That sounds like a good idea. You can do whatever you want, it's your birthday. Since you probably don't want to miss out on homecoming [& your friends might not want to either], go to everything & after go out for dinner/dessert & then maybe have a sleepover with a bunch of your friends or something?? ok i have a digital camera and it's a Canon 6.0 Megapixel, 4x zoom, and you can record videos on it, and you know. Well, if I'm wanting to record a video, and send it in to "extreme home makeover", can i do that? or do i hafe to have a REAL video recorder so i can send that little "tape" in?

It says on the application that you need to send in any videos/photos that you may have. Therefore, you would have to actually send in a tape.

Go there & print out the application first. You have to go through certain steps to be accepted. You might be able to talk to them & discuss methods of sending videos in though. It wouldn't be a bad idea to just fill out the application & send it in, & then figure out details on how to record a video later & what not. You can ask them any questions too.

how do you make baggy jeans tighter around the thighs? like when im washing them or is there something else i can do..?

If you wash them in & dry them with higher heat settings, they will most likely shrink. It will take a few times though. You don't want them ruined & all jeans are a bit different. If you really want tighter jeans, I would suggest buying a smaller size that's possibly cheaper. Other than that there isn't much you can do. Ask a parent/adult about washing them so that they'll shrink a bit. You have to be careful though because it won't just shrink around the thighs. You can't target a certain area of your jeans. Most likely, if it does shrink around your thighs, it will shrink other places too.

I heard it works fine, but probably not worth all of the money. It's the same as the iPhone except that it doesn't have a phone. It has the basic music/internet features. I think if you are going to spend that much money, you might as well get the iPhone or the Sidekick III or something. It's a lot of money for a basic ipod with some internet features.

i have a verizon enV phone
and it used to have the keyguard automacially go on after like 5 seconds.

but now all of a sudden it just stopped working.
and i can't figure out how to turn it on again.

I have the enV too. Is it set to go on automatically?? You could have accidently set it so that it doesn't. Go to Settings & Tools & then Keyguard Timer [it should be the first one]. You have the option of picking how long you want the timer to wait before the keyguard comes on. If you do not see this, I would suggest reading the manual or calling verizon.

There is always a chance of pregnancy if there is sperm involved. The chance of you becoming pregnant from sperm on his/your hands is very low, but there is still a chance. You should be careful of that regardless. You can skip a period for many reasons though. If you have no signs of pregnancy [which you can find out on google], then you probably stressed yourself from worrying & that's why you skipped. If you are still worried about it, make an appt. with a gyno or buy a pregnancy test. If you haven't had sex, you most likely are not pregnant. You should still always be careful though.

ok so i am on my period and i have been using tampons a lot but not for over 8 hours. my vaginal area got really red and started to itch really bad like non stop and i'm worried that maybe i have tss? i looked up the symptoms and i'm not sure if i am them because i am sore but that is normal cause i'm a dancer. and i do get light headed sometimes but that is also normal for me because i have low blood pressure... so really nothing feels out of the ordinary for me other than the itching and its very uncomfortable and i'm just wondering what it might be? so please if you have an idea let me know because i'm really scared!

Make an appt. for the gyno. None of us are doctors & if you think that it is TSS, that can be a major problem & the sooner you find out the better. Here's a website-

I want to make my hair black for my halloween costume, but I don't want it to damage my hair and I NEED to have my hair back to normal within 1 or 2 days, because I CANNOT walk around campus with black hair hahah. I definitely don't want to dye it black, it's way too risky. My hair color right now is medium brown if that helps.

Usually any of those work. My friends got theirs from CVS & it came out fine. Just make sure it says that its washable & comes out in the shower or something. If you do have any problems [which most likely won't happen], you can always go to a hair dresser & they have products to get it out & back to your regular color. I wouldn't worry about it though. People use it a lot, especially for halloween.

and i'd like to make my own t shirts and sell them somwhere [internet maybe? ebay?] like with fabric paint and stuff. i think it'd be fun and i could make some money. i've been trying to get a job for soooo long and since i'm 14 [i am a freshamn] most places won't hire me yet. do you think it's a good idea? how could i start? any advice would be great!

Try ebay or craig's list. You can google both. You could probably make some money if you have reasonable prices & if they're creative & not sloppy looking & really neat. You can get a list of designs together, try it out & see what makes you the most money. After experimenting online a bit, if you become successful, try going to Tshirt designing companies around your area. It's a good idea actually. As long as you have the right materials & are creative, you should be able to make some money out've it.

Water can slow down a girl's period. Whether you're swimming or in the shower, it can stop for a bit & start again later. It isn't something to worry about. It's actually quite common.

I remember a few months ago I had all these tiny little bumps all over my face, they were above my eyes, by my mouth and nose, etc. all over the place, and they were small, not red just little invisible bumps, but I could see them when I got in the sun, and when I sweat.

It probably has to do with the heat or the sun. Sometimes people get sun poisioning or a heat rash. Since you said you get it when you were in the sun or when you sweat, its most likely heat related. It doesn't sound too bad though. The next time you get it, ask a parent/adult or go to the doctor just to make sure it isn't something else. Make sure you wear some kind of sun protection even if it has a low SPF.

You would have to have someone switch it for you. Verizon won't take unlocked phones. My advice is to wait a bit. Verizon is coming out with an "iphone" type phone called The Voyager.

So ive been on YAZ for about 3 months now but i recently just got over my period but it never really ended, it just started all up again.. is that considered '' breakthrough bleeding" or should i call my gyno and be concerned?

It probably is breakthrough bleeding. I would call the gyno just incase to make sure. There's nothing wrong with checking. That way you'll know how to recognize breakthrough bleeding for the future.

I have to go on birth control to regulate my period soon. I know this has nothing to do with your question, but I was curious about what type to go on. Do you like YAZ?? Have you had any problems with it?? I heard that birth control can make you gain weight. Did you gain any weight from being on it?? I am a male in high school. There is a girl I really like that Ive only seen at a class once a week for a couple of years. I want to ask her out but Im pretty shy and I dont know if she likes me. I don't think you should just ask her out randomly. Get to know her first. Find ways to strike up a conversation. Start talking with her. You can bring up school, friends, outside activities, places in your area, etc. You can also talk about common interests. Basically, if you're really nice & friendly & talk to her randomly, you'll grab her attention. Be a friend to her first. Don't scare her off by asking her out right away. She'll notice you more when you become better friends. I'm not saying you have to talk to her every day, but a few times a week would be a good starting point. Just be friendly & smile a lot. She'll take notice. Once you become better friends & become more comfortable with each other, ask her to hang out & go from there.

Yahoo Answers. It isn't an advice site, but you can ask questions & people will answer them. You need an account with Yahoo though. It's pretty basic & simple, but definiately not as good as Advicenators.
