i'm on the yearbook staff at my school. we're trying to think of themes for next year. do any of y'all have any ideas? what have been the themes for yearbooks at y'all's schools? the name of my school is pine tree, if that helps.

Um ours last year was "How do you measure a year?" which is from the main song in the musical Rent. The first and Last pages were both the lyrics to the song. A cute Idea for you guys is you could survey a bunch of people at your school and ask what they most "pine" for! haha. In our yearbook, we had students submit what people dont know about them such has "I am one fifth lebonese" or "When I was 4, I broke my arm when I fell out of my car on a fishing trip" or random things like that. We have like 50 pages of them! Its something everyone enjoyed reading. Reach for the stars or A dream is a wish your heart makes are both really cute themes too.

Okay well, I don't knwo how to wear my hair with my dress. I have someone coming to my house to do my hair,nails, and makeup, but i don't knwo what to do. Well, I have this dress and it's strapless, and it's white with like small flower black designs on it, it's really pretty anfd it's short and it's jessica Mc Clintock. There a picture of it in this one magazine.. it's a lord and taylor add. I need help on a hair style. I think i want to wear it down, or half up/half down, but i'm not sure. Can you give me pictures. Ohh, and my hair is brown and curly except i starighten it alot. thanks

Well the hairstyle that looks best with strapless is all down, because it balances out bare shoulders. Since you straighten it a lot, you should probably do curly. Ask for sultry, curly hair that has volume, but not "big hair". Look around in magazines for hair you like, and when you find something, cut it out to show to your hair dresser. Good luck!

I have this crest nightime whitener stuff for your teeth. What you do is take the paintbrush looking applicator and wipe the whitener on your teeth at night and in the morning brush it out.

I have yellow teeth that I want to whiten, but I have a retainer that I wear day and night. I've had this retainer for a year, and thats as long as my dentist said to keep it in.

Do you think it would mess up the whitening if I put my retainer back in ten mins after I applied the whitening gel. Or should I leave my retainer out over night? Its only for 14 days.

If I were you, I would leave my retainer off at night just for the 14 days, but I would wear it during the day whenever I could such as when I was doing homework, chores, or watching TV for as long as possible. Then, when the 14 days are up, I would immediately start wearing it at night again.

Just a suggestion, I have done the crest whitestrips, which you do just twice a day for a half an hour each, or double them up and do it for an hour. The results are amazing. I saw results after 3 days. I did the regular first, which is 14 days, Then a few months later I did the premium, 7 days. I know for sure the results are dramatic and they really work. hello. ok so i have been dating this kid for a little bit and we dont go to the same school but we see each other and talk enough to have a good relationship. but my mom & dad dont like me hanging out with him without them there ; they are scared im gonna like have sex with him (im only 13) or something and its really annoying. if i go somewhere like a school thing or play basketball with him they are like "what happened? we dont like you all over eachother.." i dont know what i can do to let me do things like go to his house just to hang out or go to the movies or something. i just want their trust.. i mean ive never done anything that would make them not trsut me. i feel like im doing something wrong! am i ?please any advice on what i can do, will really help me. thanks in advance!

Okay well let me start off by telling you I understand the down side of being an only child (I'm one too) and I know the attentions always on you, and its hard sometimes. Try to talk with them. Reassure them that you have no intrest in betraying their trust, and that you do not want to have sex or anything. Point out that you have done nothing wrong for them to not trust you. Invite him over for dinner or just to hang out at your house. If your parents get to know him they will see what a great guy he is (I'm sure hes a great guy, since you're dating him)and the better they know him, the more they will be able to trust him. Maybe even have your parents meet his parents, that way they will trust his family, and it will be easier for them to let you go over to his house. Plus, don't fight with them about it, you have to show them you are responsible and mature enough to have a boyfriend. You don't want to prove them right by acting like a little kid and throwing a temper tantrum! I hope my advice helped you some! Good Luck!

ok so i have real bad problems with my weight..im 14 and i wiegh 111 pounds. is that fat? i have depression about my wieght all the time. If someone calls me fat ( even if they are joking ) i dont eat for like a week. My friends always yell at me when i tell them i'm fat or look fat in something...but i really think i am.

Hey iam a 17 year old female and I still havn't gotten my wisdom teeth how old are you usually when you get your wisdom teeth?

The Official ages to get your wisdom teeth are 17-24 but these days kids get them a lot earlier for some reason. Don't worry, I'm sure your dentist would know if something was wrong. Just make sure you go every 6 months to keep your teeth nice and healthy. Next time you go, as them about it. They will be able to do an X ray and see how close your wisdom teeth are to surfacing.

There is my school's culture night tomorrow. I need a Spanish food to bring in. Does anyone know any simple yet tasty recipies I could make or buy?

You can buy mexican hot chocolate, popular in the mexican/spanish culture. Nestle is the most popular kind. You find it with all the other hot chocolate. I know you can get it at walmart, or at least the ones around here have it. It comes in a yellow, hexigon shaped box. You make it just like you would regular hot chocolate, except I think it comes in disks.

Im a 13 year old girl and i was wondering if anybody knew any good work-outs for abs. i'm not considered over weight or anything, i just have a little bit of stomache fat i would like to get rid of. any ideas other than yoga would be great

Well if you are looking to build muscle, you should do crunches and push ups to give you definition and make you toned. If you are looking to burn fat, like if you have a little extra, you need to do an exercise that will burn calories such as running, aerobics, or ddr. Crunches do NOT burn your fat. This is a common misconception that many people have. It just builds muscle, which may shrink your stomach somewhat, but not all the way. You need to burn calories for that. If you do both aerobic exercises and crunches/pushups, then you will burn the fat and build muscle. So that might be your best bet.

Pilates is GREAT for your body too. I would definately recommend that.

Nope, you cant help you views your myspace, its a public site. You can, however, set your profile to private, so no one will be able to read anything or view your pictures until you add them as a friend. All they will be able to do is request you or send you a message.

I like curve for him, calvin kleins eternity, and the abercromie and fitch colognes (all of them are greeeeaaaat!) Lucky you and candies also smell good, but not as good.

Adidas smells good, but you might not want to get that one because its really popular. The last thing you want is to smell like all the other guys around you.

I don't really know if I want to finish school... I mean, I sort of lost all desire to finish school, I've had my heart broken this year & after that... it just seems like school isn't important anymore... I mean, I started failing... & I'm just not careing & just letting it keep going...
so, I think I want to do homeschooling next year, can anyone give me any advice on how to do homeschooling on the computer? & I'd like to graduate a year early, is that possible?

I understand completely where you are coming from when you say you have lost all desire to finish school. But really, going to an actual high school is whats going to prepare you for life, whether you are going to college or not. Plus, if you are homeschooled, youre social life will dramatically change. You will lose a lot of friends. You will have more troubles meeting girls. Etc. And almost everyone gets their heart broken in high school. If it was a girl, just realize that you are young, and theres a lot more to look forward to as far as relationships. Dont let one thing ruin your highschool years for you. You have prom, clubs and sports, and all the other things that go along with highschool to look forward to.

It is possible to graduate early, as long as you get enough credits. Search around on google and ask your high school administration for suggestions on homeschool programs.

Okay I asked a question like two days ago about how to get some one make a move. The advice I recived was that I had to make the first move. So I've been thinking about this and how can I do this without looking like an idoit? And is it even okay for girls to make the first move? Do guys perfer when they do it? eh I'm hopless.

Well I dont know what kind of "move" you mean, such as asking him out, kissing, talking to him, etc. So I can't help you there.

But when it comes to guys, they are usually just as scared of us as we are of them. They dont want to look stupid or get shot down either. A lot of them will be relieved if a girl makes the first move. Its perfectly okay to make the first move. The only thing you want to watch for, is you dont want to seem too easy, guys like a bit of a challenge.

Maybe go to a mall thats a few cities away. Get your mom to go with you and make a day of it. I went to a mall that was a half an hour away and no one at homecoming had my dress. Maybe look around at small shops that arent well known in your town.

I work with this guy 16 going on 17 n we talk in work 3 days a week. he's pretty cool. he was suppose to give me a ride home from work the other day but my sis who works there occasionly wouldnt let him because my parents weren't home. i asked her to take me home n he was like i really can drive u home im goin rite by ur house but she said kno. when he was leaving her waved like 8 diff times cause i was leaning on the car waiting for my sister. n i really like this guy. but im not really his type. i float with all the "clicks" in school but he's more "gangsta" (he goes to another school) he knows i have a cell n he plays on it a lot but he's never asked for me number though he's mentioned that i should tell him next time i go 4wheelin so he can go to. i need to know wether i can get my hopes up mebbe flirt some more and get his number or if he was just being nice offering me a ride home?? im sorry this is long but its bugging me. im tired of being rejected and i dont feel like a heart break or getting my hopes up for a guy that never even thought of me like that. thnx

I think that its definitely possible hes into you. Flirt around some more and see how he responds. Go a little further then you have been with flirting, and see if he flirts back. Maybe get your sister to mention it to him when you're not around. Like "Whats up with you and my sister?" or something like that. Like she wants to know, so its not obvious.

someone once told me on this website that if you take a cold shower you can burn off extra colories because you body has to warm up and by doing so you burn off more calories. is this true? if it is would it be the same if i took a run during the winter when it was cold would i burn more calories. please help. ill rate 5's!

I've read that its true in numerous places, but its not really a big deal because the calories you do burn by it being cold is a very small amount. It wouldnt make much difference.
