Um ours last year was "How do you measure a year?" which is from the main song in the musical Rent. The first and Last pages were both the lyrics to the song. A cute Idea for you guys is you could survey a bunch of people at your school and ask what they most "pine" for! haha. In our yearbook, we had students submit what people dont know about them such has "I am one fifth lebonese" or "When I was 4, I broke my arm when I fell out of my car on a fishing trip" or random things like that. We have like 50 pages of them! Its something everyone enjoyed reading. Reach for the stars or A dream is a wish your heart makes are both really cute themes too.

As you are, I am on my school's yearbook staff. Our theme this year was "Under the Sea"... like The Little Mermaid and stuff.. the book turned out great! We got really crazy with the 8th grade mock election... we even made some girls into mermaids.. lol.
Some other ideas for themes we had were Reality TV... Maybe even like a CSI thing... like CSI: [insert your town's name here] lol that would be cool
You could do a tropical theme.. that would be awesome
I hope I helped.. tell me how it goes

do a rollercoaster theme! like different roller coaster ridesa nd stuff with things like the school year being one big ride of your life and then its opver so fast. or maybe you could do a wonders of the world theme. Like there are different wonders like the great wall of china, mt.everest and stuff like that also a tv theme. Like tv shows and entermtainment. A big hit would aslo be a music themne. With notes and stuff. Like a song is a school year and it tkaes a long time to perfect and someitmes it doesnt come out too well but you still ahve to listen to it no matter hwat dn theere are consequences. or hmm maybe a animal theme, with like bevarrs and racoonsa nd skunksa nd foxes since your shcool is pine woods or Oh holidays! yeah holidays try doing that like differnt kinds of holidays for each person or hrade or somehting. Thats all ive got hope ive helped!

Oh my gosh I just thought of something great! Next year is 2007, right? Well why not do an "007" theme (James Bond! How great is that?). I guess with that idea you could probably get really creative and go crazy with the James Bond/007 theme.

Or you could do something entirely different -- maybe to do with the Pine Tree. This sounds really basic and boring, but you could draw/make cool-looking pine trees and have them "scattered" across the yearbook cover. Maybe they could be different colors? Or some with polka dots/stripes/whatever you can think of.

Talk it over with the staff, brainstorm ideas at home, whatever. I can guarentee that you'll have fun making up ideas and changing them around to make 'em perfect for YOUR school's yearbook.
