i really wanna get my belly button pierced but im afraid it will hurt really bad and when they're doing it i will want them to stop. so my questions are, is it a quick process? does it hurt? will it get in the way if i play sports? and how long do i have to keep it in before i change it?

I got mine done sometime ago.
The pain depends on your pain tolerance level.
My bellybutton hurt more than my cartilage, but my friends cartilage hurt more than her navel.
It all depends. Don't believe people who say ''Oh it hurt like shit/It didn't hurt''

It's quite quick, but the piercer may take time marking it, so it comes out perfectly.
The clamps may hurt you, but for example the clamps didn't hurt me.
When it's healing, yes, it will get in the way when you're doing sports.
After I got mine pierced, I played tennis the next day, and the constant moving and running did irritate the piercing.
They say that you shouldn't do too much sport when it's freshly pierced.
I suggest waiting a month at least.
Generally, the navel piercing can take up to 6 months to heal.
This is because it is always moved around when you sit, change clothes, sleep, etc.
And it's a common piercing to be rejected by your body.
Mine took about 6 months to heal, and the only sport I did was in school.

Be careful, and if you're really active in sports, I wouldn't recommend this piercing.

Make sure you find a reputable piercing place.
And read the experiences on the link I gave you.

Oh yeah, to change jewelry, you have to wait until it's not painful, sore, red, crusty or whatever.
If you change it when it's still sore, you will probably get an infection, or irritate it so the body will start to reject.
Choose a nice simple banana barbell, and stick to it, until the piercing is ok.
Don't mess around with it before.
I made that mistake.
The piercer put in a plain silver barbell, but my boyfriend got me a cool black one, I thought I'd change it in the shower, cause it'd be ''clean'' (two days after I got it pierced) and it was all swollen and sore for two weeks after :(

Also, make sure you clean it twice a day, this will help the piercing heal faster + better.
(ask for specific instructions from the piercer)

i considered getting my hips pierced, but they leave bad scars, so i changed my mind.

Okay, so in a few weeks I'm moving to my Dad's house, and he honestly doesn't cook.

So I'll need to be learning how to make basic dishes for some nights. I've never cooked in my life (I only took cooking class once, I cooked once and skipped for the rest of the semester) I can't even boil an egg.

What are some simple dishes to cook so I can practise between now and the time I move there? It doesn't have to be stuff made straight from home, it can be packaged stuff, I just don't want real basic stuff like 2 minute noodles or anything you add water to and microwave.

I want my tongue pierced really badly. Ive been thinking about it for quite awhile and I like to research what I pierce (13 piercings)... So a few questions about this piercing.
1) What is the difference between 14, 12, and a 10 ga?
2) Can I get it pierced just at the tip and not the center?
3) What is internally threaded jewelry?
4) How much does it swell?
5) How long until I can use my mouth as normal? Like drinking alcohol, eating, making out, anything sexual... [hahaha]?

1) 14ga is the size for most belly and tongue barbells.
12 is bigger, and 10 is even more bigger. I suggest the 14ga, unless you're planning to gauge your tongue in the future, if so, get the 12ga.
2)You could get it at the tip, but the piercer needs to check it out, due to veins, and also your tongue.

The thing you screw, is inside the barbell.
I recommend these more than externally threaded barbells, but they are a bit pricey.
4)It depends, the first time I got mine pierced, it didn't swell at all, the second time(repierced) fuck me it went huge. It depends on your body. You may have lisp when it's still swollen.
5)Don't drink alocohol, avoid yogurt cause you might get an yeast infection.
Basically the piercer will tell you.
But it's usually until it's fully healed, so not painful or swollen.
Wait at least two months to minimize the risks. Eat carefully, the first barbell which is longer for healing, you could bite on it, and that hurts like shit.

So I was looking at this portfolio of a piercer in my area, because I'm looking for a place to get my nose pierced...

And like it's just pictures of different piercings that she's done...

And I came across this surface piercing one...and I'm sort of fascinated by it. I like how it looks and I think I might want to get it done.

How painful does that look though? And it seems kinda dangerous being so close to the spinal nerves...

Have any of you had this done or know someone with it done?

My questions are:

1. Was it really painful? Like how much more did it hurt than a navel piercing? Also, I'll probably get my nose done first...so how much more did it hurt than your nose?

2. Do you know if it's dangerous at all being close to the spine like that?

3. If it is really painful...do you think that taking some strong pain relievers before hand will help with the initial piercing pain? And on that note, do you think that will help when I get my nose done too?

I used to have it. It was painful for me since it was a surface piercing, and it could reject quite easily.
Mine didn't reject, but I always got it caught on clothes, or on the hairbrush, so I decided to retire the piercing.

The pain level depends. I have my navel, and the nape hurt wayy more, and I have a high pain tolerance level. Nose, almost painless.
But then again it depends on your pain tolerance level. :)

I don't suggest taking pain relievers before getting a piercing. Seriously, that can make you dizzy, sleepy, and you'll probably bleed more.
The nose is almost painless, the nape, it depends.

Also some people have really thick nape skin, so that makes it more painful, or it might be too thick to get pierced.

Go talk to your local piercer, and make sure it's a good and reputable place.

I got my lip pierced two months ago on my bottom lip. Lately, I've been noticing that the rings/studs that I wear scratch against my bottom teeth.

You could try these.
I had the same problem, so I switched to acrylic rings, and the problem stopped.

My dad had the same problem, and because he wasn't allowed to wear rings for work, he let the piercing close up, and went to the piercing place and asked them to pierce it so the back of the studs wouldn't rub against his teeth.
So if it continues to be a problem, take the piercing out for a weekend, and get it repierced, and ask the piercer to do it so it doesn't rub against your teeth.

What do you think about the children who come to this site, at the ages of 12-14 asking sexual questions? Questions that aren't educational, yet nasty, disrespectful, and questions which tell their age? Are you comfortable as adults answering them or would you rather them not be able to ask those type of questions on this site?

The morals of our youth today really concern me. For the most part, it's not 100% about the question, it's about the words they chose to use while asking it. This is why there are so many STD's, AIDS, teen pregnancies today. It saddens me that some of the questions deal with anal sex, oral sex, size of penises, except they use the D word and P word. I had no idea of what some of these things even meant to begin asking when I was 13? What are some of your opinions and feelings on this subject? seriously & are you as older teens, and adults OK with answering those type of questions from these children that think they are grown and have no idea of what it's like to be grown in the real world?

Even though I'm 15, I am actually worried about the amount of 12-14 year olds that have 17 year old boyfriends, have had sex, may be pregnant etc.
And for the language, they haven't been taught better.
Teachers in school realize that stuff like this is going on, but they ignore it because it has nothing to do with them.

When I was 13, I had maybe three boyfriends. The only think I ever was worried about was kissing.
Now 13 year olds feel like losers if they haven't given a hand job or haven't been fingered yet.

There's a lot of sex around, and parents don't tell their kids what's right.
Parents don't know what goes on with their kids whilst they aren't around.
Most of the still seem to think that 13 year old girls have guy friends who they play with, or hang around, not do sexual things with.

I was on the school bus a couple of weeks ago, and two girls that are 12 were sitting in front of me. I wasn't eavesdropping on their conversation until they started talking about sex. I remember one of them saying to her friend something along the lines of:
''Well, we're gonna seem waaaayyy more mature to the guys, if they know that we've made out, and been fingered and stuff'' and I basically felt like saying to them ''What the hell, are you serious?''
So it seems that most young girls think that it's 'mature' to do sexual stuff, when they don't even know the consequences and so on. They will learn if they get pregnant at the age of fourteen.
My friends sister is fourteen. She had sex, and got pregnant. I asked her why she had sex and she said ''Well Michael is 17, and he's done it before, so he said that if he pulls out before he cums, then I defenetly won't get pregnant''
Schools should seriously consider what they teach kids about sex. And in general, teens should be taught about the consequences and risks. Instead of saying ''You should be 16(depending on the law in the area) to have sex''
No one listens to that anymore.

i have this program called photofiltre. i like it except i really like the editing where you make the photo black and white but make only one thing in the photo a certain color. does anyone know how to do this? thankss

Basically:

Open up a picture. Try with a basic one.
I suggest learning with this:

Get the selecting tool, circle one might be easy, and select the orange..like this:

Then copy it, and paste it as a new image (while the orange is selected, Ctrl+C and then Shift+ctrl+V)

Go back to the main image, and select all (crtl+A)
Make it black and white or whatever the colour.

Back to the orange on the other image.
Duplicate the image (crtl+U)

Then on top menu go adjust > duotone
And move the slider around until it looks like this:

Then select the duotone image, and copy it.
Go back to to colour orange, and go to top menu > paste special > Assemble

When the menu comes up, choose 'Assemble Right'
and choose ok.

Copy it.

Go back to the original image, in black and white, and go to top menu > edit > paste special > image with linked mask

The orange in one colour should appear, and then move it to the right position.
And you should be done!

Fourteen-Female.
My parents are being extremely cool in letting me re-do my room this summer. I don't know if anyones familar with Jones Cane Sugar drinks but they have rappers with difrent pictures on it and I have a billion because I collect the rappers and Im plaining on that being my border. I was thinking that because the backs come in Black and Silver that I could checker it [[which I love checkers]]
At the moment my walls are like Sky Blue, which was a bad choice on my part because I have the brightest room in the house. So now Im thinking a dark pink. Something rich and deep. For a color scheme because I wanna repaint my doors and a built in shelf I was thinking Dark Green, Neon Green, and hot pink! I can't color a whol door one of those colors though so I was thinking re paint white and the little boxes have have like pink or green or something.
This needs to come cheep though, my parents aren't paying for any of this I am. I just need a diffrent feel in my room.
I have completely transformed and actually like school so I was thinking so have this huge cork board on my wall to put things due and pictures of friends. And I forget what movie it was called but this girl have a collage on a whole wall and I already started that with posters and what not and really like it. I like to think I have an artistic side, and my parents do not care what I do with my room aslong as they dont pay for anything and I dont take any walls down lol.

Ok, too many questions in one...in the future, make them separate.
Well, since you said that your room is small, I don't suggest using too many different colors, cause this can make the room look smaller.
Read this, and it'll help you make your room look a bit bigger and more 'mature' since it seemed like you wanted it to be like it.

For the wrappers off the drink bottles, you could buy a cork board(quite big), and border it with the wrappers :)

Try to stick to two colours, and just use different shades..but remember that a bright green or pink, will make your room look more crowded.

Putting mirrors in places will open up the room.

Too much texture will also make it look smaller.

I suggest keeping things simple, and not overdoing it.
I am in the process of finishing my room now.
I have white furniture, and I have white walls, so my room looked like a hospital. I got some room accessories in deep purple(boxes, candles, little statues, bed covers etc) and I also put Black design flower swirls on my walls, and kept it like that. My room looks way bigger than it did before when I had a lot of posters, pictures and..just stuff everywhere, and the room looked tiny, even though it isn't. :)

Ok well we have to make a poster and you can do it any way you want so I'm just going to do it on photoshop and print it. It's supposed to be poster sized but since I'm doing it on the computer and my printer doesn't print on huge paper, I'm allowed to print it on normal paper but it must fill the entire thing!

The only problem is, I don't know the measuremets, ( ex. 34 x 56) and for what unit when I set it up in adobe photoshop! Please help!

Open photoshop.
Go to:

File > New
When the box pops up, go on ''preset sizes'' look down the list and choose A4.
That's the size of a normal page that goes in the printer.
If you want to rotate it, then go
Image > Rotate canvas > 90 degrees.
