Redoing my room this Summer.
Fourteen-Female.
My parents are being extremely cool in letting me re-do my room this summer. I don't know if anyones familar with Jones Cane Sugar drinks but they have rappers with difrent pictures on it and I have a billion because I collect the rappers and Im plaining on that being my border. I was thinking that because the backs come in Black and Silver that I could checker it [[which I love checkers]]
At the moment my walls are like Sky Blue, which was a bad choice on my part because I have the brightest room in the house. So now Im thinking a dark pink. Something rich and deep. For a color scheme because I wanna repaint my doors and a built in shelf I was thinking Dark Green, Neon Green, and hot pink! I can't color a whol door one of those colors though so I was thinking re paint white and the little boxes have have like pink or green or something.
This needs to come cheep though, my parents aren't paying for any of this I am. I just need a diffrent feel in my room.
I have completely transformed and actually like school so I was thinking so have this huge cork board on my wall to put things due and pictures of friends. And I forget what movie it was called but this girl have a collage on a whole wall and I already started that with posters and what not and really like it. I like to think I have an artistic side, and my parents do not care what I do with my room aslong as they dont pay for anything and I dont take any walls down lol.
If you have any good paint names because this hasto last me, and it can't be like kiddish because Im going into Highschool next year and don't wanna be ashamed to bring my friends in my bedroom. I was the whole Funk, retro thing.
&& If anyone could tell me where I could find a good pair of sunglasses with the mirrors on the outside I really REALLY want a pair.

I really want my room to make a statement. I loe my friends and want pics of them, and want someone to know Wow, you know an awesome girl sleeps here lol. My room is extremely tiny though so.

Ok, too many questions in one...in the future, make them separate.
Well, since you said that your room is small, I don't suggest using too many different colors, cause this can make the room look smaller.
Read this, and it'll help you make your room look a bit bigger and more 'mature' since it seemed like you wanted it to be like it.

For the wrappers off the drink bottles, you could buy a cork board(quite big), and border it with the wrappers :)
Try to stick to two colours, and just use different shades..but remember that a bright green or pink, will make your room look more crowded.
Putting mirrors in places will open up the room.
Too much texture will also make it look smaller.
I suggest keeping things simple, and not overdoing it.
I am in the process of finishing my room now.
I have white furniture, and I have white walls, so my room looked like a hospital. I got some room accessories in deep purple(boxes, candles, little statues, bed covers etc) and I also put Black design flower swirls on my walls, and kept it like that. My room looks way bigger than it did before when I had a lot of posters, pictures and..just stuff everywhere, and the room looked tiny, even though it isn't. :)
