first off is there anyway to get an STD if you dont do anything sexual? cuz my friend has never done anything like that and apparently she has an STD...how does that work? T H A N K S !

It depends on the STD. If it's HIV/AIDS, she could have been born with it, gotten it from breast milk, gotten it from a blood transfusion, tattoo, or other form of sharing needles.

If it's herpes, that is not always an STD. Some people just get the virus, and then they will have cold sores on their mouth sometimes.

If it's odd bumps on her vagina, it may not be an STD. It could just be ingrown hairs.

But there are a lot more STDs than what I listed. I suggest looking it up on google. Or asking your friend, if you don't think she'll mind telling you.

And I have to agree with everything Chicken_flavored_eggs said, including the fact that xoMarisox has no idea what he/she is talking about.

My step father has been forcing me to have sex with him for a few years now. When I was 8-9 he brought home a porno tape and showed it to me. I called my mom and told her that it was a sick tape and he threw it away. After that, my dad has brought porno tapes for us to watch and has had sex with me various times. You need to tell somebody. That is the only to stop it. What he is doing is incest, rape, and abuse--it is very horrible and very illegal. You should not be afraid to tell anybody because it is NOT your fault. He is a sick man abusing his power over you, and you basically had no say in it. Go to your mother or a school counselor right away.

okay so I have lots of blackheads on my nose and now i see some on my chin...is there anything i can buy at walmart (that is NON expensive) that will effectively get rid of them? prefferably something that either works right away or that works quicker than like 3 weeks..Thanks for any help!

Biore. They have strips that are made specifically for the nose. I would leave them on for a bit longer than the box says, just to be sure and it does hurt quite a bit when you pull them off (but you have to pay a price for beauty...and hygeine). I think biore also makes lotion, that would probably be less painful but I don't know if it works as well since I've never used it.

Only if your husband has STDs. Just because you're married doesn't mean the diseases magically go away. But if you're married, it's pretty much assumed that the other person is only sexually involved with YOU, and that you will know their past history and their present medical stats. But, you're right, being married does not guarentee safety. Always use a condom for oral sex, and NEVER swallow!

I think that somebody is signing on IM using my screen name. two people have said i said things that i know i never said. they have said i used swear words and have been very rude to them. which i know ive never done. i unlinked all of my sns and deleted my buddy lists so this person could not antaganize any of my friends. i have also signed on another sn that no one know about and kind of been monitoring weather someone signs on using my sn or not. i want to be safe and make sure this person wont do anything more. any ideas?

What you need to do is first get a new screen name and only tell it to your closest friends. Then ask your friends to tell you the exact screen name that this person was using. The same thing happened to me and as it turned out, they had made a screen name that was just one letter off from mine. I told my parents right away and they spoke with this person through AIM. My dad told her(because even though she never came out and said anything, I know very well who it was) that he was tracking her, she got scared, and signed off. We also went to the police and they said if it continued they would do something about it.

Is it enough just to use a condom? I always thought it was but I keep reading things that say to use both a condom and the Pill. I haven't really considered the pill as I don't like taking medication, but if a condom is not enough I might have to change this.

Nope, a condom isn't enough. Condoms are usually really safe but they CAN break. It's also not good to use just the pill since they don't do anything for diseases. It really is best to use condoms and the pill.

Okay I am a large person yet personally I think I am starting to look a bit better like I might actually have lost a few pounds. However my scale is saying the opposite, that I have gained a LOT of weight. What is going on?

The scale has no way of telling the difference between muscle and fat. If you've been exercising, you probably made your muscles a lot stronger, and muscles have weight too. The best thing to do is go by inches rather than pounds. Instead of concentrating on what the scale says, concentrate on what size jeans you can fit into.

Is University of New Hampshire considered a party school?

Not really. There are parties there, just like at any other college. But it's not super-wild. But if I were you I wouldn't go to UNH. I don't know if you're from New Hampshire or not but most high school seniors will say that they're applying to UNH for backup if they don't get into Keene or Plymouth. It's really not the best school out there.

YES. You can never be too safe when it comes to sex. Both of you need to see your doctor and get checked for any STDs. Don't hide anything from each other! You need to tell him what your doctor said, whether you're fine or if you have a disease, and he needs to tell you as well. You should also talk to each other about past sexual history--if he's had sex with somebody else, you need to know.

does that Hollywood Diet drink that's suppose to make you lose 10 pounds in 48 hours actually work? has anyone tried it or know someone that's tried it?

I don't know about that diet but I do know it's possible to lose ten pounds in two days. However, if you have like...a peice of cake, you will gain it all back. It isn't healthy at all, so don't do it. Just stop eating junk food and only have one or two healthy snacks a day, eat lots of fruit, vegetables, and meat, and go walking every day or do yoga.

I am curious as to what people think are million dollar ideas, how would you make a million dollars? Perhaps you have an idea that you could make a lot of money because people need it because of a really big lack or? I really am interested in anyones "BIG" ideas. i rate high for good ideas, and it can be anything but please explain what is so good about it and why you think it would make a lot of money.

I take everybody who actually believes in these ridiculous "get rich quick" schemes, tell them that they can win a million dollars if they get into our rocket (they have to pay a fee, and naturally there is a fee FOR the fee), lock them inside, and send it to the sun. It's killing two birds with one stone, you see, because now I'm rich and all the stupid people are gone.

That, or I'd become a televangelist. If people think that God is telling you to tell them to give you money, they will be all to eager to do his bidding.

Okay I have like line marks on my breats. And like, they are like dark pinkish and stuff and I don't know what they are. Stretch marks. EVERYBODY gets them, they are perfectly normal. You can try using cocoa butter on them but it doesn't always work. They are just a normal part of life, though and like I said everyone has them.

Lying to him is going to get you nowhere. First of all, do you want to have sex with him? Or is this just him pressuring you into it? If you don't want to have sex with him, tell him so, turn around and never look back. But if you do want to have sex, tell him that you want to be protected. It's not bad to be afraid of getting pregnant, in fact it's quite good that you are aware of the risks. So tell him that you'll have sex with him AFTER you go on the pill and ONLY IF he is wearing a condom. If he complains about it, don't have sex with him. Anybody who can't respect your wishes does not deserve to be touching your body.

I am a 13 year old girl, and for a while, I considered myself "straight." Now, I'm really freaked out. I have a big crush on my lesbian English teacher (FYI, she's made it public that she's a lebian---I'm not just assuming). I'm so scared. Having a crush on a teacher is bad enough, and on a female teacher is awful. Mind you, I don't have a discrimination against homosexuals, but I don't like to think of myself liking someone of the same sex. I feel like such a creep. Does this make me a lesbian as well? No, it doesn't make you a lesbian. You're not a lesbian unless you decide to call yourself one. Trust me, I have had crushes on several people of whatever gender and many of them were teachers. So have many of my friends. You're not a creep, you're a human being. Also, you're a YOUNG human being, so you're going to feel a lot of new, conflicting emotions during the next few years. It's not wrong to feel this way. It's part of who you are. Don't put yourself down over this, I have been down that road and I can say that it gets you nowhere fast. It's normal to be scared of these feelings, but you will overcome it in time. When I was about thirteen or fourteen and was just discovering my sexuality, I couldn't talk to anyone about it. I thought my friends would surely hate me for it, so I confided in a journal. I strongly reccommend that, it's a great way to get all your thoughts out. As it turned out, my friends didn't hate me. In fact, they thought it was wonderful. Though I'm 100% sure your life won't be over if anyone finds out about it, it's nobody's business but yours. I'm also 100% sure that most people you know are beginning to or will very shortly begin to discover their own sexualities, and that includes (but is by no means limited to) having crushes on members of the same sex. It's a difficult struggle--maybe it shouldn't be, but it is--and if you are comfortable with it, try talking to your lesbian teacher. She would no doubt be very willing to help you with any difficult times.

Masturbation is completely healthy. Actually, some people masturbate when they are much younger than you are now. You may have even done it when you were little and just don't remember.

You can't pick a sexual preference--it doesn't work like that. Many people will tell you that it's just not a choice, you are either gay or straight. I don't believe that. I think we're all just sexual. It doesn't matter if you're attracted to a man, woman, or transgendered person. There is more to you than your sexual preference, just be you.
