someone signing on using my screen name :(
I think that somebody is signing on IM using my screen name. two people have said i said things that i know i never said. they have said i used swear words and have been very rude to them. which i know ive never done. i unlinked all of my sns and deleted my buddy lists so this person could not antaganize any of my friends. i have also signed on another sn that no one know about and kind of been monitoring weather someone signs on using my sn or not. i want to be safe and make sure this person wont do anything more. any ideas?
also -- i had a dream the other night about someone hacking my screen name, does this mean something?

I'd say get a new screen name, change it to a password noone could guess like a number comination with letters like .. 1b2456sghs or something, and only give that screen name to your friends & put it on privacy so noone else can get it. =D

What you need to do is first get a new screen name and only tell it to your closest friends. Then ask your friends to tell you the exact screen name that this person was using. The same thing happened to me and as it turned out, they had made a screen name that was just one letter off from mine. I told my parents right away and they spoke with this person through AIM. My dad told her(because even though she never came out and said anything, I know very well who it was) that he was tracking her, she got scared, and signed off. We also went to the police and they said if it continued they would do something about it.

email the im admins to change your password.
if you catch them on your name, you can direct connect and get their ip and crack their computer.
or just report them to their isp or find out where they live using an iplookup/whois .

Make a new sn, and dont let other people know about it, just your friends, and tell them not to tell anyone else your sn. as for the dream, it probably just means you're thinking about it a lot, so dont worry about the dream.

hey your dream doesnt mean anything. but try to remeber who you gave your passowrd to and ask them. also i know you have tried but i have recently just changed my password and it works. try my aim edit options and change passowrd. cait ♥

Just think if you gave your password to anybody and if you did and remember then just ask the person about it..

most of the time it's just random friends acting retarted and trying to taunt people.. for fun... try to think if you gave any of your friends your password... then if you remember one that you did.. ask them about it =] hope i helped

DO have any enemies or ex-friends? Someone may be trying to get back at you for something you did to them. If you know of someone like this, you should confront them about it. If worse comes to worse than you can delete this s/nand get a new one. Good luck!
