Is there any difference between how a skirt fits on the waist and how pants fit? Because I can fit into size 2 for skirts, but need to go up to a size 4 or 6 for pants (American Eagle). AND, I measured my waist the other day and got 28 inches, but how do I fit into a size 2 which is supposed to fit a 24.5-25.5 inch waist? This makes no sense to me.

Skirts tend to be worn higher on the waist than pants are. This could be the reason. Also, not every size is consistent with each other. You could buy something in a 3/4 and it would fit just fine, then go and buy something else and the fit may be too big or too small. It just depends on certain clothing companies.

So im "house sitting" this house while the family is gone for chrsitmas break....they have a dog and it like threw up or something on the carpet. its like a lighter color carpet.

what can i do to get the stains out? i tried just scrubbig it with water but it didnt come out....this is kinda urgent they come home sunday morning and i dont want them to come home to a mess

If you can find a product called Thunder Blast, it works miracles. It got fingernail polish out of a very light beige carpet. I know we found it at our local Dollar General Store. I am not sure if you have access to one of these stores, but if you do, it may be worth the $3 investment. Good Luck.

Here is a suggestion: if you don't want to purchase the book, but desperately want to read it, go to your local library and see if they have it for checking out. If you find you like the book, you could always buy it afterwards. Good Luck!!

A great resource for you to find word definitions is dictionary.com. They will give you any definition for a word as long as it is their database. I use it all the time to cheat while playing scrabble with hubby ;)!!!

does anybody know any multiplayer games like cry wolf?

cry wolf was an online murder mystery and me and my friends loved it because it was scary and fun. But it recently got deleted, is there another game like that?

I know of two options, however, I do not know if they are the type of games you would like.

The first option is a multiplayer, one time charge of buying the game and no monthly fees for playing: Guild Wars.

The second option is a multiplayer, monthly fee playing: World of Warcraft.

If you are looking for just random games to play with your friends, you have pogo, yahoo, and msn games.

Ok so i'm 13 and i have a boyfriend from school and he's really nice, i've liked him for a long time now but he wants to go into town with me and i'm just sat here infront of the computer crying because i don't know what to do because i AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NERVOUS OF GOING INTO TOWN WITH HIM. As a parent, oh god what is a parent doing reading this and giving advice; it is going to be lame; I know, here is my advice.
The other post is right, first calm down. I remember doing the same thing with the butterflies and unable to eat EVER when I had a new boyfriend. Let me tell ya, good diet!!! I lost about 20 pounds, to damn bad it all came back as I got older ;).
Second, just act normal. If you think of him as a friend and stop worrying about all the pressure of being a boyfriend, it may go smoother. All you have to do is be yourself, that's the person he likes anyways.
I would never say to lie to your parents about you going to meet a guy in town, however, do they know you date? Do they allow you to date? If they do, than honesty is the best policy. I am not going to go into full detail of all the things that could go wrong and they wouldn't know the first thing about getting to you for help. However, if you are intending to go and not let your parents know the full truth, make sure that you tell your best friend about it just in case. Good Luck!

If you like fruity or flowery smells, you could do the body sprays and lotions. If you have Bath and Body Works, you could get scents that vary in smells. My favorite from there are Kukucabana, Raspberry, Pearberry, and Sweet Pea. If that is to much of an expense for you, and if you have a Wal-Mart of equivalent store, they sell the same type of product for a lot less. Good Luck!!

When I was in Junior High, I was kind of an outcast. It suited me just fine. Then, a friend that I hung out with in Elementary School started talking to me again. She was a cheerleader, very popular, and extremely outgoing. I was the invert. I didn't mind her newly renewed friendship. I didn't think anything about her agenda on why she was suddenly hanging out with me. I do feel though, that we had a good chemistry as friends and she recognized that too. I also made new friends and still was able to keep my old ones as well. My point is this, some times, even if it is strange to us, people want to befriend us. We can either go with the flow and let it take it where it may, as long as it is in a healthy way, or we can doubt it and never truly now. I say give her a chance to be your friend. There may be no ulterior motive behind it, other than being friends. If something bad happens, just think about this being a life lesson and you have taken something away from it. Life is always about making decisions, owning the consequences, and learning how to handle things again. I wish you the best of luck.

I want to buy the 1st and 2nd seasons (only seasons) of Summerland on DVD, but I can't find it ANYWHERE!

I've looked at bestbuy, and Blockbuster
and i found it online to order, but I want it sooner than that.

Does anyone know FOR SURE where I can get it. Like have you seen it somewhere? Is it even in stores or just for ordering? Any details you may have on these DVDs would be HIGHLY appreciated.

Ok, I did a little research. I went to google and typed in summerland dvd and it took me to amazon.com. Which is a place that you can buy anything you could ever want. According to them, Summerland has not released the DVD sets yet. The Summerland that you found was probably the music CD. I hope this helps.

can depression affect your period?
cause i know i get depressed in the winter
and last year my stomach was all wacked. i cant remember about my period though. ive had my period for a year ( it will make 2 in june) and its been normal for the most part. but for 2 months i didnt get it and i just figured it was normal cause its still irregular and whatever. then the beginning of this month i started to get it. it only like started though like it was brownish blackish and then finally after about 4-5 days it stopped. im kinda freaking out cause i hate doctors so much ohh and i wouldnt be pregnant either. so im just hoping cause its winter and cause im depressed and stuff

Depression and stress can affect your periods. However, even though you hate doctors, you should always get a yearly exam after you start having your "monthlies". This will ensure that you do not have any problems. Some times, it could be something dangerous that needs to be checked out and the longer you wait, the worse it gets. I know that you can get HPV without ever having sexual activity. If not treated properly and in a timely manner, it could lead to cervical cancer. In my opinion, trudging through the doctor once a year, is better than going through cancer at any age, and I am assuming you are quite young since you have only had your period for this short of time. It would be horrible to have cancer at so young of an age, when you have a lot of life to live.

Do you have a female figure in your life that you can go to and ask for guidance and help? If you do not, then you can always call the Health Department in your area and get help and guidance. I wish you luck, and please, take care of yourself. There is only one of you, you are unique, take care of yourself so you can show the world how unique and special you will become as an adult ;).

Well, do your parents enjoy playing board games or card games? I have found that recently I have been addicted to playing Sorry and Scrabble with my husband to get some alone time with him. It would even be a good idea for a family night. Or, if you are strapped for cash, you could always offer them a coupon book for chores that you can do for them, so they don't have to. Good Luck!

Ok, no disrespect to the one that answered before I did, however, if you stick a stuffed animal in your mouth you have 2 problems(to say the least). First, your going to get stuff animal fuzz all in your mouth, gross. Secondly, stuffed animals and humans tend to not have the same skin type, so you wouldn't get adequate "practice".

So, my advice to you, if you truly want to give a hickey, is to practice on your arm. You probably won't see the same results, but at least you can get the technique down. Good Luck!

ok... so i'm 15... and my boyfriednd is 22... yeah.. big difference eh... but we have been together since i was 11... 4 years.... we have had our ups and downs... and always get fights fixed... but this time... what do i do? he thinks that i am backstabbing him... because i have a friendster account... but i never open it... but he claims that it says.. that i always open it.. everyday... i just get the feeling that hackers are doing this... and he thinks i am hiding it from him.. but i am not... and just today i was baptised to ba a catholic.... all this happened yesterday... i didnt get to email him yesterday because i was busy taking care of all the things for my baptism... and i got home at 6... but he thinks i am hiding things from him... but i am not... i tell him everything.. because we treat each other like we are merried.. we talk about our future and things like that.... and because he thinks that i was backstabbing him... he got so hurt.. that he chatted with someone else... you know in YM.. but i did not beleive him at first... but when i opened his account.. there she was.... her name was rachel... i didnt mean to.. but out of all the anger and hurt i felt i deleted his account.. because i dont want all my anger pouring on him... now we were supposed to chat... (because he just moved to the states this october to work for our future) he was gonna open his account (the one i deleted) but i emailed him about the deleting of it... so he emailed me that maybe his account was blocked or something... then he read my email and got mad... he said why did i do that??? and i shouldnt blame rachel because it was all my fault.. then he said.. you better bring back my account or i will never talk to you... basically.. i want to bring it back.. but... i cant.. and i love him.... i want him to know that.. and i just cant stand a day without him... i email him.. always.. almost every hour... begging for him to come back...i need him back.. i cant live.... if you are thinking of telling me... to just let him go.. there are a lot of guys in this world... no! i wont.. i love him... and my heart is a place for only him... please help me...

I am going to break this down in sections.
#1 I won't even approach the age thing.
#2 If the friendster's account is causing that much problems, then just delete it, that is if you want to remain neutral with your boyfriend. The account shouldn't mean more to you than your boyfriend, since you said that you love him..
#3 you two need to sit down and have a conversation about trust and what the other wants from each other. Find a middle ground and compromise on helping each other out. I would like to point out that at 15, the relationship should be about exploring your emotional likes and dislikes, and where you want to go with your life. You don't have to be so serious at this young of an age, enjoy having the freedom of not being tied down to a person.
#4 I have been in your shoes about checking someone's YM. My husband was emailing a coworker in the middle of the night while I was in bed. He was hiding it from me. He was acting strangely too. This caused a big problem between him and I. I can't tell you all the details, because we would be here forever, but it all got worked out. I didn't delete his account, however, I did IM the girl and tell her that it was inappropriate to IM someone who is married. She has not IMed him since. So, I would suggest that you tell your boyfriend that you are sorry for deleting his account and you would set up a new one for him, if that's what he wants. However, let him know that threatening you about never seeing you again is childish and can be worked out in a better sense. If he comes back and tells you that you are childish for deleting it, then agree, because it was, but it was an act of jealousy and you will try and work on that.

so one of my good friends was like OMG I WANT SOMETHING FROM AMERICAN EAGLE and she was like im getting you that scarf that you really wanted so i kind of made my mom go to the mall for her to buy her mittens and gloves from american eagle, which my mom didnt really want to but i was like "mom shes getting me a expensive scarf that i really wanted" next day all i find in my locker is a card...it just said "merry christmas" my mom has been asking, can i see the scarf? is it nice? and i've been having to say i didnt get it yet because it didnt come in the mail yet, cause if my mom found out she didnt get me anything she'd flip, what should i do about this?

I just want to remind you of the reason for the season. It is not about the amount you pay for a gift, but the thought that counts. If she were to tell you she was buying you a brand new car, you wouldn't go and buy her a house because you felt obligated to. Next time someone says they are buying you an expensive gift, remember to say thank you and give them something in return that is within your means to accomodate.

About your mom, honesty is the best policy. Sure, she may get upset that she went and spent a small fortune on a pair of mittens for someone that she doesn't have a relationship for, but she did it for you. If your mom is willing to go all out for a friend because she loves you and wants to make you happy, then I would repay her with the same respect and courtesy that she gives you and deserves. Also, remember that you are a victim in this too. You assumed that she was going to hold up to her end of the deal, and because she didn't it was no way your fault. A true mom that thinks logically would see that. It may upset her at first, but it shouldn't be at you.

The vaginal walls are flexible. They will support giving birth to a baby that is bigger than a penis. So, to answer your question, no it is not suppose to happen.

My advice to you, (make sure this is what you want to do before doing it, and always practice safe sex when you do) make sure there is plenty of arousing foreplay. This makes the vaginal area able to produce the "wetness" to ensure a smoother entry. If foreplay does not work to acquire the "wetness" desired, an option would be using a lubricant, make sure it is spermicide free and doesn't make the condom ineffective. Without going into full detail, the partner can use digits to open the vaginal area for more flexability.
I would like to express, that I am not a doctor or qualified to give medical advice, however, this is a tried and true technique that works for me, and I am passing it on to you.
