I am 15, turning 16 in about a month. Everywhere I go, people think I am SO much younger than I am! For example, I was getting my hair cut, and my hair cutter asked me how old I was, I told her, and then she said, "Oh really? I would have guessed like 13!"

Also, make-up should give you a more grown-up look and feel, but don;'t over do it because then it will look as if you're playing dress-up-creating an even more youthful appearance. Eyeliner, mascara, eyeshadow, and lipgloss should be enough. You could also use some foundation for a more put-together look and it will make your face look even-toned.

so i just got a relatively large purse. its super cute and i LOVE it! but.. its really big, and has a lot of pockets and compartments. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO PUT IN IT! it looks dumb to leave it unfilled because then it just looks empty! so far i put my sunglasses, camera, ipod, cell phone, and wallet in there. it still doesn't fill it up! what else can i put in? what do you put in yours? thank you!

Sweater (incase it gets cold or if you just want to wear it later), Lotion & Spray, small mmbrella (just in case, lol)and maybe an extra pair of shoes if you get tired (i.e. flip flops).

Pretty much the sweater and shoes will mae it look full.

i\'m 14f. and theres this guy whose moving state pretty soon, and we want to see each other before he goes. before school ended we almost went out, but then he backed down, then wanted me back. i made out with him a few times. hes almost 16. he said he wants to have sex and make some memories before he goes. he said hes having a leaving party, and there will be alcohol and his parents r gone. but i dont know if i\'m ready or whats gunna happen. i\'m just worried about the consequences and stuff. dont say \"just tell him your not ready\" cuz i would be except for what could happen. i just need to talk about this and need opinions.

You shouldn't have sex just for "good memmories". Sex is a serious step and to me you're just too young. I don't think you're ready if you're asking us because you seem unsure, and like I said to another person, it's like your looking for approval from us just to convince yourself that having sex with him is the right decision. Virginity is a precious gift, and you should really think about if this is the guy who you want to give it to because once it's gone it's gone, and it's not coming back (unless if you want to be a "born again" virgin,which technically isn't a virgin anyways). Sex should be for those who KNOW they're mature. If you do choose to have sex with him you should both get tested to prevent any STDs or illnesses that may result and use condoms, but although they do help prevent pregnancy, they're not 100% effective. Keep that in mind.

My bf is coming to visit me in august and he is also 14 and we were thinking about having sex. and we really want to and he's the kind of guy i could see myself spending the rest of my life with sense we've been dating for about 9 months. But i really dont wanna take the chance of getting pregnant. What should i do? i no we would use a condom. so dont tell me that. Am i too young? i dont think i am but some ppl do. HELP!!

Personally, I think that you should wait. To me 14 is too young to be having sex and even though condoms do help prevent pregnancy they are not 100% effective. It's not credible that you are ready for sex if you're asking us because now it seems like you're unsure and you're just looking for approval from us to convince yourself that it's ok. I mean, if you seriously believe you're ready to move on to that big step make sure that both of you are mature enough and know the consequences that can lead to having sex. Also makre sure to GET TESTED before any type of sexual activity b/c you don't want to get infected with any STDs or illnesses.

What is up with a guy who has been saying hi to you and he wants you to say hi back to him whenever you see him in the halls?? And what if it goes on for 6 months and you like him. But alls you can do is smile at him, and he smiles at you, and all he ever says is hi (my name), then I say hi(his name).And sometimes the other way around? sometimes we think of clever ways to say hi like tap each other shoulders or wave or whatever. So it's obviously the two of you like eachother but are both hesitant to admit it. Greeting eachother is fine, but you might want to add a little more to get the conversation going like "Hi [name]. How are you? What are you doing for summer". You know, questions like that. Maybe ask if he's getting a summer job. If the conversation still seems limited, you might want to talk to him online via email, myspace, or facebook if that proves easier. Try to find some similarities, and when you meet up you can continure the conversations that you had over the internet if you guys get into them.

Since the signs are pretty much clear that he has something for you =), you should just chill and relax. Engaging in funny, interesting convos can build a great friendship and may even lead to a relationship. You might have to start the convos in the beginning but you guys will learn to be more comfortable around eachother and it will be no big deal and it won't seem awkward.

Hey well there are a great variety of clothing trends out. Since it's spring, verging on summer, bright and/or pastel colors are perfect for this season like green, yellow, pink, blue, purple, orange, red, etc.

Tops:
Tunics, lace tanks, tee-shirts (of course) and cardigans.

Bottoms:
Plaid shorts, Jeaned shorts, skinny jeans, ripped jeans, skirts (flowy and denim), *SUNDRESSES*.

Shoes:
Boots, flats, flip flops, sandals, heels.

Acessories:
beaded necklaces, pearls, bangles, braided bracelts, silver and gold jewelry, stud earrings, headbands, scarves, etc.

Styles:
Cardicans and flowy skirts look great together, along with flats and flip flops. A nice pearl necklace and studs will give it a nice classic touch. Also, cardigeans look good with sundresses, which also look cute worn on top of tee shirts.

i really want to get one! i dont really know if thats what they are called but they look like a thick braided bracelet.. its kinda thick, not THAT big, firm i think.. and people wear it as bracelets now. its normal color is kinda.. a little tannish-whitish, but there are other colors for it too. like i saw someone with a hot pink one. what are these called and where can i buy them? they're soo cute!

I just got a new bathing suit, and i got 2 tops w/ one bottom peice. One top is a tankini, and the other is a bikini (and fits loads better than the tankini), but its one of the non-slutty ones. The problem is, i'm a total chicken and don't know if i have enough guts to wear the bikini in public. I've only ever worn one peices and tankinis, so i'd feel pretty awkward. I have a pretty average body, too. i'm definitely not fat, but i don't have a perfect body, by any means. so, should i just stick to the tankini? or if i should wear the bikini, how can i overcome the insecurities? I just wanna swim, not worry.

Since you have the right body for it, I think you should definitely go for it. It's normal to have insecurities over wearing swimsuites more revealing than before, but just think of all the people who are out of shape but still wear string bikinis. I mean, I'm not trying to be mean and all, but if you have the right body for it, I don't see why not. But maybe you can wear other bathing suits to get you started to a more comfortable route. At lunch I used to be friends with probably the most snottyest (sp?) people ever. They are insecure. I sat with them everyday. They critizied whatever I wore, or looked like or anything out of weakness. I got in a cat fight with them. So I asked one of my very good church friends who sat at that lunch who is EXTREMELY popular. And She's like sure you can sit with me. So I have been sitting with her for a while. But you see she is like really confident, and she gets whatever she wants, shes out of nowhere GORGEOUS. and shes like the boy magnet in our school. She teaches me to be confident when ever I see her. She always gets all the attention. And I just cant act myself around her and if I do then she just thinks of me as "oh my gosh you are so boring". Im not jealous of her. Its just I wish I could just have fun with her but shes the one is just too cool for me. We go shopping together etc. Hollister is where we go. So I have become more stylish. But you see a few days ago she sometimes ditches me at lunch so sometimes I HAVE to go sit with my old friends and they are so still rude to me. But I like my church friend a lot more. So what should I do? And I dont have any other friends on this lunch shift at school. Im dead serious. So what do you think?

I think that you and your church friend should find more things in common than just shopping. Yeah, shopping is fun and all, I happen to know because I LOVE it, but when that's all you and her do together, it can get really boring and played out. Talk to her and find out what she likes instead of depending on how she acts. Who knows, you two may find something similar that you share like bowling, swimming, etc. and you could go and do that. Honestly, I don't think you should go back to your old friends. Make some more friends at lunch. Start talking to them and see what you have in common. You may think of it as being awkward, but it's WAY better than going back to a bunch of low-life, shallow, friends who are rude and nasty to you. Trust me...they aren't REAL friends.

So, get to know your church friend better and engage in fun activities with her. Shopping with her is good and I'm not saying that you should discontinue that, just make sure that's not all you do. And make new and better friends at lunch. That way you're seen as nice and friendly, which it will be, and you gain more confidence.

For a LONG time, This guy likes me, and yesturday I just started liking him. He was talking to me and he's like flirting with me and stuff. I just cant stop thinking about this and him. He helped me with my homework, laughed, talked. But then I found out later that he was dating someone by one of my friends. My heart was crushed, and she's like OH YOUR JEALOUS. But really I didnt want to show it but I kind of am. I like him but then again I wonder why am I liking him? Hes not cute, but he has a great personality. The guy I like and the girl (who he is going to prom with) are going to prom today, and I cant go because I'm a sophmore and hes a junior. Which is even weirder is one of my other friends told me that the guy I like doesnt even want to go to prom with that girl. HE wants to go with me. But yea so proms tonight and Im wishing I can go. But I cant so any ideas how I should feel better about this?

wow...I know what's you're going through. I've had my share of guys who show signs that they like me but they end up having girlfriend already which sucks. You need to keep in mind that he likes YOU and not the girl he's going to prom with. I know that it's hard knowing that he's with somebody else but he really likes you, not her. When he comes beack from prom, ask him how it went. Show that you're not upset that he didn't go with you because it will just show a sense of vulnerability. Be strong, and casual.

Also, I think that you and him should really talk about your relationship as friends so if you two want to take it a step further. I know it may be uncomfortable, that's totally normal, but this teasing and acting like you guys like eachother but not saying anything is getting you two nowhere. You guy both like eachother, but you're keeping it inside, holding on to a relationship that could get serious. If you think that you two are meant to be, go for it. Yes, it will hurt his girlfriend but in a way it's no fair to her b/c she's getting fooled by a guy who doesn't even like her.

Sleep on it, and really think about how you're going to break it to him b/c talking is a good way to clear the air of bottled emotions.

My parents wont let me go shopping for a very long time because they think I have so much clothes. The clothes I have are really out of style now. Thats why I would so want to go shopping. She lets my sisters go even though they get my hammy-downs. How can I get new clothes when I cant? I already gave some away but she still thinks that I have to much. Oh my gosh I just want some new clothes thats all!!

Well, I think that part of your parents not wanting to let you go shopping is because you shop with their money. Trust me, it happens to me with my parents.

Try getting a job. That way they can't complain about you going shopping a lot because you're not spending their money. This way you're incontrol. Maybe you might want to work at a local store, pet shop, etc. Although, you don't have to work for a ocmpany if you don't actually want to. Domestic chores are great for getting fast money. You could do house work (even though it's your parent's money, they're not giving it to you freely, you're working for it) or help out a neighbor(s) for a price such as mowing their lawns, walking their pets, watering their flowers, painting walls, washing their cars, babysitting, or whatever you can think of. This way, not only do you show a great deal of responsibility, but you also show that you're successful when independent.

You don't only have to work by yourself-you could do some jobs where you work with a friend or a group of friends so that you have fun when you're working.

I have naturally straight hair, and recently got a perm for the first time. My hair stylist did a great job, and the perm turned out fine and everything, but now I miss my straight hair. How long does it usually take for the curls to lose their form? And what does anyone reccomend I do in the meantime?

ummmm, well I'm not sure if they'll lose their form, but you could try straigtening it with a flat iron (don't do it too often). Or you could possibly grow your hair out, but you should be careful to avoid from hair breakage. Try asking your hairdresser, I'm sure he/she will give you the answers that you're looking for. Personally, I think they are SUPER cute. I want some myself! Plaid looks really nice, especially if you pair it with a nice top, and cute shoes like flip flops or flats. You could go for a nice preppy look, or switch it up to a different style. I hope I helped!

We are doing swimming lessons next week at school so I need either a one-piece or a tankini (we are not alowed to wear bikinis at school). My body type is apparently 'skinny hourglass'.
Basically, I am very slim and my waist is a lot smaller than my hips and boobs. What type of one-piece/tankini would suit my shape best?
