OK, the story goes like this. I go out with my ex-girlfriend and she says she won't ever leave me, and BANG. A week later she leaves me(she's f/17). I tried to call her...a lot for two weeks. I then decide not to contact her anymore but it's been two months and i'm still not over her. Must i contact her or must i just accept that she will never come back?

if youve tryed to call her alot and over a long period of time like you did...then id suggest forgetting about her. i mean if she hasnt contacted you then she isnt interested

i like this girl at school but i dont know if she likes me should i use the direct approach and aske her out or tell sum1 else 2 do it for me

I think you should use the direct approach method. That shows her that you are confident, not afraid to talk to her, and is not afraid of rejection (regardless is you are or not). If you get someone else to ask for you and she says no then your friend will know what she said and that could lead to rumors and other things.

There is really no way to let anyone let alone a guy down easily. The best way though is to tell it like it is. Not lie to him or insult him. But try to do it as nice as possible.

i love this boy.
he keeps himself completely closed off from the rest of the world.
but i know he hurts inside.
how can i get him to open up to me?

you could try to be friends with him. and then he may or may not open up to you. but if he closes himself off from the rest of the world he may not open up to you right away. just what ever you do dont rush it because if you do it will probably freak him out or something like that. but if you are friends with him made sure he knows that he can trust you. dont actually tell him just let him figure it out.

MACY'S has it i do know that. and if MACY'S has it im pretty sure that almost every department store would have it. you could also try Nordstrom. but MACY'S is the best bet.

Ok guys I need to do a science fair experiment for school. Im 13/f in 8th grade and I wanna do sumthing with make up like how long lipstick stays on or something like that. I was thinking of testing like nail polish or maskara or shampoo or something. Please help! i'll rate good n no stupid answers or ill rate bad.

you could see which brand of mascara clumps the least after a certain number of coats. pick 3 or 4 different brands of mascara and apply 1 then 2 then 3 coats. and see which brand clumps the most after 1 coat then 2 then 3. or you could see how long it takes the mascara to dry after a certain number of coats. and you pretty much do the same as the other idea.

although many schools have rules and regulations about test on yourself, other people or animals. like my school...if you were go to do something like you wanted to do, you had to have a scientist supervise you and you had to have consent from the company. so enless you already know that it will be okay i suggest you check with your school before doing it.

well... my life is great and i know that but like sometimes i just cant help feeling really sad...like i want to cry all the time and i over-analyze everything around me making everything scarry and bad...and like i started cutting a while ago and recently its gotten worse...like its gotten deep to the point where ill pass out and wake up w/tons of blood all over..and like sometimes ill just take some pills to knock myself out and get away from it all..and like i cant sleep.. i havent in about a week...and i wont eat...i refuse to...i have food and it will make me even more fat than i am right now... but like sometimes ill just sit in my room and ill be real calm and just crying for hours...then suddenly ill like flip and like i will start screaming and throwing things and like i will hate every 1 and everything around me...ill just like loose coltrol and start fighting with myself and slicing open my arm while doing so and like its just gotten so far and so bad that everyone thinks im crazy...even though i make sure not to loose it in front of other ppl...but like my arms are covered in scars...like after one of my episodes the other day i finaly calmed down but couting them and i couted 367 on my arms and 68 on my ankles...like where i live its cool all the time so i can wear hoodies and stuff but its still like omg...i wanna stop so bad but its turned into an obsession and like ill jsut find myself doing it...im scarred that one of these days im gonna go too far and die...even though many many times i have thought about suiside...well there really isnt much n e one can do for me but if you do have any non-cocky non-smart ass answers its much appriciated!

i suggest to you to visit your school conseler. if the school conseler doesnt help, then ask them to help you find more professional help. i know that using the word "more professional help" may make it sound like your a mental case...but i highly recommend it. my friend was just like you. she sought professional help and her life is almost back to normal. but in the mean time, talk to some one close to you, such as a family member or a CLOSE friend. also it might be a good idea to throw away everything that you ever used to cut yourself and anything that you think that you COULD use in the future. for everything that you cant throw away ask someone to hide it from you. but you are on the right track. you realized the problem and you are attempting to try to get help...GOOD FOR YOU!!!

Hi I am an advice columnist. I need some help. I am at a friends and I was at her neighbors house. We were tumbling and I knocked over one of the nice lady's pot holders. I broke the pot and I have scratches all over my legs. My friend got me out of there as fast as she could. I feel so bad. What do I do?

if you feel THAT bad...go to your friends neighbor and tell her what happened. im sure she will understand. offer to buy her a new one. they are not that expensive. other then that there is really nothing you can do but that...or feel guilty.

ok so theres this guy that sits behind me in all my classes and he always pulls my hair, and i was wearing a thong and he noticed it.. and kept pulling up my shirt, he hit my butt one day. and it seems like hes always flirting with me. i asked his friend who sits next to him why he always does that, he said " i think he might like you" i dont know if its true, hes cool and all , but he went through alot, his brother just died in september, and i donth think he could handle it, plus my bffl likes him too and they went out but he never liked her, he felt bad for her. im so confused

i have a big lump of cheese and its kinda glowing and green, but its not exxpired yet, is it safe to eat?

NO it is not safe to eat. dairy product can be wierd like that, some go bad before the experation date but some can go days after the experation date before going bad. i would definatly not suggest you eat it.

i just found out my best friend is pregent, she is about 5 to 6 months along and is due in january and she is going to make the kid call me aunt because we are so close, like sisters. i feel totally shocked because she is only 17 while she is gonna marry the guy, i know its gonna be hard for her, and im just not sure what to do for her right now, i just need some ideas because i am completely in shock.

There is really nothing you can do, but just let her know that if she need you that you are there for her. When that baby comes along, be the close friend that you are and help her. It is hard being a mother that young, my sister had a baby at 16, even though I was about 7, I still helped her out as much as possible. If the father bails and leaves her, hunt his ass down and kill him!

you can use tampons anytime...(as long as you have your period)...there is no certain age limit for tampons...so go ahead and start using them!

Ok so my name is Tilly and I came in late for biology class. I look in my chair and there was a note with my name on it..I opened it and it said "Tilly, will you go out with me-your secret admirer"..obviously, they were joking because it was written very MESSY and..if i wanted to say yes/no..how could i tell them? so i was being mocked and embaressed..should I get over it? I wanted to cry so bad..this made me feel even more horrible because people have been calling me ugly for 5 years!

WOW!!! That happened to me a few weeks ago! well i talked around and eventually found out who did it...i did the same thing...i wrote them a REALLY mushy love note and slipped it into there locker. to even it out more i had my bestest guy friend rewrite it and i had it photo copied as it "was" wrote to me and gave it out to people at school.

but:
i dont advise doing what i did...just drop it one day your going to go to a party or a bar...or some other social gathering and your going to famous and sucessful while they are alone and washing dishes at some restruant...while they are sitting alone (even though you may not figure out who did it) they are going to know how big of an asshole they were.
plus in the book of life its like one sentence...a sentence that you could easily "white-out" or "erase".

My Tenth year highschool reunion is coming up next year and I'm really nervous about it.

This is because me and a guy that I had a mad crush on left on really bad terms.

He was the most popular guy in school, class valedictorian and jock. I was one of the nerds. He new I had a crush on him and he treated me like dirt. He would make out with his girlfriend when I would walk by him in the hallways to upset me. He would play little games to humiliate me, like coming up to his friend whose locker was next to mine just to see me go red in the face.
He even went right up to my friend at the senior prom to hit on her while she was standing next to me and then he ignored me.

The last time I saw him was at the bar 8 years ago. I went up with my friend to talk to him and he completely ignored me even though I said it was my birthday.

Do you think I should go and confront him or just ignore him? This was a long time ago and I think that by now he would have matured a bit. I want to be the better person even though he made me senior year a living hell.

try to make him jealous. but dont lie to him. strike up a confersation and ask him what kind of a job he has and things related to that. maybe he has matured since those 8 years ago. and if he didnt i would make it a point to tell him when he is leaving or you are leaving to tell him what a jackass he was. that way you can leave it at that and get him back at the same time.

im too scared to ask my mom or a dr. but what kind of thing does bad smelling and yellow discharge mean, i know it could be and infection but what kind? can u treat it at home? need help, will rate good

this could mean a yeast infection, or an STD, or just an infection...i would go to a doctor becuase i do know for a fact that if you get an over the counter treatment and its a misdiagonsis it could worsen the infection or be fatal...

that sounds susipiously like my friend and I...??...anyway, i think you should just talk to your friend and see if she would like to put what ever happened between you two if anything behind you. you know...forget it...but there are somethings that you just cant forget...if there is any hope your frineds will come through and see your point.
although i cannot forget what my friend did...and it will probably never be the same...but that is another thing entirely

(13f)i have had some yellowish discharge and its kinda smelly. is it bad? i heard that it could mean an infection. im kinda worried. i havent gotten my period yet, but i have had this discharge for like a year or so. please i need advice. will rate good.

well thank you...its normal for you to have discharge but if it smells kind of like fish i would sooooo definatly see a docter. but if it doesnt smell like fish its normal.

NOTE: discharge means that your period could be on the way in the near future...
