can someone tell me why my cat pees everywhere?and how can i make hi stop doing it?all 5s (link)
|
it sounds like your cat is spraying..he is matured so now he is marking his territory..this means you should get him fixed or else he will continue to do this...getting him fixed will also prevent him from running away..because he wont feal the urge to go find a female cat. i know..this all happened to my cat..it ended up getting run over..trust me..please get your cat fixed..its the best for everyone!
you can call different vets and see how much they charge for the procedure...i think it is around $100 but it is soo worth it if you love your cat

This isn't exactly pets, but it's the closest one.
In my neighborhood, a stray dog keeps wandering around. It's eating grass and the fur around the joints is gone. I feel really bad for the dog, but my mom won't let me take him in. Everytime I go inside to get a number for an animal shelter, he runs away. I need an idea on what to do. (link)
|
i recommend putting some food and water out for him..cat food will work..or even table scraps.
if he sticks around your neighborhood..call your animal control people..they can come and catch him and take him to the pound--i know that sounds mean, but it betters his chances of getting a home. another idea is to tell people around you about him..and make flyers. maybe someone will want him.

I'm babysitting my next-foor neighbor's 3 kids. They are 10, 6, and 2. This is my first time babysitting on my own and I`m a little nervous. What should I do to keep them busy? What do I do if they begin to fight with each other, or one starts to cry? Any tips?
(link)
|
i know exactly how you feel!! i babysit all the time...here are some tips!!
make a kid kit! just use an old box or something..put some old board games...crayons, stickers, markers, coloring books, puzzles, etc in it..it works wonders!!
also (if the parents permit) bring a small treat for each child to give to them when you are about to leave --depending on if they behaved that night
if they fight-- separate them- tell them that if they fight, they will not recieve their treat, or will lose a privalage
if one starts to cry..love it..rock it..sing to it..do something fun!! if it starts throwing a fit...here is what i do, if a child throws a fit, tell them that they are not being a big kid! start another game, and slightly ignore them..soon he/she will quiet down and want to play too...if he/she doesnt, remind them that they wont get their treat, and that you will tell their parents..
if you have any more problems..just ask..ive got a lot of experience..i babysit 5 kids all the time. hope i helped!! please rate ~hersheylover~

on december 26, a new family is moving in to the house next door to mine. my mom talked to their realtor (another neighbor) and found out that the family will have a 3 yr. old and a 5 yr. old. by the way, I'm 13.
the question that i have is, how long should i wait before i introduce myself, and how should i do it? i really want to babysit for them, and i work really well with little kids. i've never worked for pay before, just as favors for my aunt (with kids age 2 and 7) so im not really sure what to charge either.
i know this is really long, and has a bunch of different questions. but any answers will be appreciated to the tone of a 5! thanks in advance! (link)
|
hay, i know how you feel..im 13, and we just had kids move in next door too!
here is a little thing that might work for you.
Make a few flyers..put them in the mailbox of everyone you know and trust...make sure you put one in your new neighbors mailbox.
Include on it:
Your name
Age
Telephone number
Rates (my rate is $1 per hour per kid)
example 2 kids for 3 hours would be $6
also include the number of your aunt..so she can tell people if your qualified for the job or not.
I hope this works for you...ask me if you have any more questions!! please rate ~hersheylover~

okay if i have a "friend" that i do not like but she thinks i am her friend do i keep acknowledging her or do i tell her straight up? please think about this one (link)
|
if there is no possible way that you two could be together, i would just tell her so. say she is not your type...that you could be friends..but that is all! you shouldn't completely blow her off but you shouldn't give her any ideas either. you could be "aquantances" such as being friendly. but not really hanging out either. hope i helped!! plz rate! ~hersheylover~

ok so my friend Eneida played a joke on my friend Devin. She imed him saying that she was a girl from France on aim and he believes her. Now Devin can sometimes take things seriously..or personally. So someone needs to tell him the truth. I think that Eneida should tell him since she thought of it. what do you think?? (link)
|
i think that Eneida should be the one to tell Devin the truth. sooner the better...i hope he doesnt take it too harshly. either she can tell the truth or make up some excuse like "my parents cant afford the internet here in france any more...so au revoir!!" and then get rid of that screen name. but i really think that she should go with the first choice of telling him the truth...who knows? he might respect her more because she told the truth...lets cross our fingers for that! hope i helped!! plz rate!! ~hersheylover~

My cat has a hard bump on the very end of her tail. My mom said it was okay but I'm not sure. She's had it since she was a baby. It's like an extra lump of bone. Could it be bad? Should I ask her vet about it?
thanks (link)
|
i have had cats for several years...but i am NOT an expert...has your cat been to the vet before? if she has then im sure the vet would have noticed something. otherwise, it could be a vertebrae out of place..(which i dont think is harmful since its at the end of the tail) or it could be and enlarged vertebrae, or piece of cartilage. does your cat seen to be in pain about it? if not...and it hasnt caused any problems before, i would listen to your mom and not worry about it. but if you would really like some help with your problem, just give your vet a call, im sure he/she can give you the information you need. thanx! hope i helped!plz rate!...hersheylover...

Hey this is me. you really don't think that the email was to harsh? cause i sent him an apology email not to long ago. (link)
|
no! if he was lying to you, then he deserved what he got...if you still want to be friends, be sure to tell him that what he did was unexeptable. tell him that he hurt your feelings and if he wants to be friends, he should start telling the truth and be nice back. otherwise, don't blame yourself. it was his fault for lying and being a jerk! hope i helped. plz rate! ...hersheylover...

I'm taking dance lessons(jazz) and my friend "Marie" doesn't like me taking them. She thinks that I'm going to end up like "Sandy" who called me a streetwalker last year. Now Marie says that she fine with it but looking at her face I know she still hates me taking the lessons. I'm not even in Sandy's class! Marie even told me that she took dance lessons when she was little. I still don't see any problem with me taking dance, so what should I do? (link)
|
you should dance because you like it...it shouldn't matter what people think. it sounds like your friend is stereotyping. if she is really your friend she should support you in whatever you like, just as you should support her. it shouldn't matter what sandy said either. forget what they thinks and just keep dancing! hope i helped!!! plz rate!!! ...hersheylover...

I have had a cat for 6 years and my sister recently got a new puppy, which is 7 months old. My sister lives in an apartment right above me and is always bringing the puppy down to play with us. The puppy is very active and loves to play and is extremely nice. However, my cat just seems to hate her...my cat puffs up immediately and hisses and scratches the dog continuously and this happens everytime they see eachother. The dog does not fight back and tries to get into play-mode, yet my cat is actually trying to fight. Any suggestions? (link)
|
i know what you mean, i have 2 cats and a dog who is very playful while my cats are just plain angry. they act this way because they are scared. even though the dog may be playing, to the cat it seems as though he is trying to attack. cats tend to get along with dogs if they are raised with them. otherwise here are a few suggestion to get them better aquainted: whenever the dog comes over, make sure that it is for short periods of time and that the cat has someway of escaping, ex. a shelf or a chair. make sure that the puppy has a leash so it cant chase it. let them be together for short periods of time everyday until it becomes routine. but make sure you are always there, if they are unsupervised bad things can happen. perhaps having a blanket or something with the dogs scent on it for the cat to smell will help. if the cat continues to act the way it does, consider asking your sister not to bring the puppy over anymore. if she is upset tell her that it is for the safety of her own puppy and for everyone else. because sometimes animals just aren't meant to be mixed. hope i helped...plz rate...hersheylover....

My husband wants to get our kids a dog for Christmas. I think we would all really enjoy a dog, but I know that I will be the one who does most of the work. Is there a type of dog that is less work to take care of? (link)
|
i know exactly what you are going through, for my big family most of the responsiblity of the pet fell on the shoulders of my mom. that is until we found our dog Dana. what i recomend is to get an outside dog, about middle size. probably like a golden retriever or a lab. they are both very gentle dogs. we have a lab mix, and all we need to do is make sure that her waterer is full. (a 5 gallon one that you can get at wal-mart for like $5) and that she has food in her dish. it is easy to take care of our dog since we have a big yard she has plenty of room to run around, that is what most dogs need.
all dogs will need lots of love, and if you think that your kids will get bored with it, don't get one. on the other hand they are great companions as well. if you want an inside dog, i recomend something very small that probably isnt a big barker. but either way, get your pet tags, and try to get it microchipped as well, it helps so much if your pet runs away. I hoped i helped, i love animals so much. ask me if you have any further questions...hersheylover...

I write poems about a lot of thoughts that go on in my head. I want to share them with my friends, but I know if they don't appreciate them I will feel horrible. Once my friend found my journal filled with poems and she was just like, "Hmm. Do these all mean something to you?" and she just gave the idea of my poems were crap, which I know they aren't. I guess what I am asking is what should I say to my friends to make them understand how important these are to me? (link)
|
i know how you feel. i write poems a lot. it is a good way to express your feelings. if your friends dont understand how important this is to you, are you sure that you should be friends? try talking to them through example. like if one friend likes art say "these poems are as important to me as your art is for you"
maybe being professionally recognized for your work will help them understand. go to www.poetry.com, if you submit poems, chances are that it will get published in this $50 book, then the people from poetry.com invite you to all these poetry conventions all over the country, to be recognized for your work. i got my poem published but i never went to the conventions. maybe just saying that you got invited to these conventions will impress your friends. but dont try to brag.
sorry if this is a little confusing...
hope i helped...hersheylover...

Sometimes i feel like i want to die, i dont feel like miserable or anything and i dont want to die just for a way out, i feel kind of excited about death, like when i die i will be at peace with everything. isnt that what everyone wants inner peace and to live in eternal paradise? thats what i want? what are we waiting for? (link)
|
I understand what you mean, you know about, "if i die, all my problems will be gone and i will be happy."
but think of it this way...if you die, all of your relatives would feel a great amount of pain. do you want to be responsible for that?
not to mention that ive heard that if you take your own life, you will live in heck. im not sure about it, but its what i heard. do you have any friends? they can be a great source of support. i have had relatives who have threatened suicide, dont ever do it. it frightens everybody, dont do it for attention either. do something your good at, ex. making good grades..
hope i helped...hersheylover....

I got my rabbit about 6 months ago. It's not trained and i dont kno how. I tried giving it treats when she does tricks but SHE NEVER DOES ANY TRICKS! How do i train her to sit, lay down, and all the basic things? (link)
|
I have owned many rabbits, and several of my friends have their own rabbitries. Rabbits do not respond to basic commands like that, dogs may, but rabbits don't. Also, do not give rabbits too many treats, it can interfear with digestion, if you do give treats, make it only carrots or apples, lettuce or cabbage has no nutritional value. If you need better answers, try buying the book "Your Rabbit, A Kid's Guide to Raising and Showing" you can buy it used from Amazon.com for about $3. If you want expert advice, I have an email address for a big rabbitry owner in North Dakota, I email her often with questions, and she helps so much. Her name is Sarah, and you can email her at

I'm 13/f in the 7th grade
For a while, I've been having a real hard time paying attention. I get really bored easily, and I fidget a lot, I'm really slow (physically), and I get lethargic a lot. and I'm VERRRY disorganized. My school learning specialist said that there's a possibility of me having ADHD. but when I was little, I was always full of energy. Usually ADHD shows up in kids when they're little. Does my case sound like ADHD???

I know what you are going through, my brother was the same way, why don't you try talking to a psyciatrist. (trust me it is not as bad as it sounds, and once you get treated, you will feel a whole lot better)my brother had the same symptoms, and at first they thought he had ADHD, but, he also had moodswings, if this describes you, talk to your doctor about Bipolar disorder. That is what my brother has. ADHD can show up at any age, even adults can get it. If you are apprehensive about going to a psyciatrist, don't be. I have anxiety problems sometimes, and since I talked to a doctor, and got medicine, i feel a whole lot better. ADHD, seems to be occuring in kids more than it used to, so there is a big chance of it. Talk to your parents first though.

I would like to reward him with a special treat but i don't know any candy this kid likes. do you guys know of anything sweet for a 4 year old? please help! i rate high! (link)
|
I have a four year old brother...and trust me, candy is the LAST thing you want, it will make kids fly off the walls. Try small toys, like mac donalds toys, or stickers. if you really want to give him candy make sure his parents approve. ask him what types of things he likes. ex. my little brother loves john deere, so when he behaves, i go to the john deere website, and let him look at pictures. or when he is really good, the next time i babysit i will give him a little john deere tractor toy...catch my drift? Hope I helped...plz rate...hersheylover...
