i've been shaving down there for about a month now but like it doesn't always look great like i go over it once but it always starts bleeding not wear ive court myself just like as though i had a spot and i've like gone over it and the top has cut off, my friend said it could be cause i have really tough hairs i dont know though got any suggestions what i can do?? btw i did use soap but i tried shaving cream aand neither did any difference i also changed the blade and used an older blade didnt change anything :S
Never use soap! Try not to use it for any shaving you feel you have to do. It dries out the skin and will leave you prone to more nicks and cuts.
Never use an old blade! Blades that are dull are not your friend!
What I use is Skintimate shave gel (or foam) and either a vibrance or mach3 razor. The shave gel has special conditioners to help make the shaving a bit easier on your skin.
What I suggest is letting it go for a while. Let the cuts heal up nicely before you attempt any sort of maintenance. Once you feel you've healed enough, trim the hair *carefully* with a pair of scissors before you take a razor to it. Try not to go over the skin too many times with the razor as that tends to cause problems.
You might want to take a look at this site. It's been helpful to me in the past...

Me and my boyfriend have been dating for about 3 months but have been friends for 5 years. Even though were young weve been discusing marriage because of the amazing bond we have. Just recently we started having sex. I wouldnt know any other kind of sex but to me it seems really hardcore and more about the sex than the love. Weve never done any oral, but he told me this morning before he went to his am classes that when he comes home he is going to give me the best sex I ever had. He left a note saying this along with little clues about "tonight". This has really been grossing me out and concerning me because he said ... "My fingers will be up there along with my tongue, baby"!!! I dont now whatt to do because Im still new to te sex scene and those words coming fom him shock me!!
HELP!!
If it's making you uncomfortable (and I'd say that 'grossing you out' is pretty darned uncomfortable) then don't do it. This is your body! You have ultimate say in what goes in with your body! Ask him to be more specific about what he's wanting to do. If he won't, then saying no is definitely an option to consider.
It doesn't matter if you are discussing marriage and newly sexually active with him or (like me) married and sexually active for a while. If at any time something someone is doing isn't what you want to happen, saying no is always your choice. If he loves you, he'll respect your decision.
Good luck,

well you see i'm a mom of a 5 year old and he never leaves. and lately me and my husband have been wanting to have sex. and we're a very loud couple if you know what i mean. what do i do?
My husband and I find that a nice ball gag does the trick.
Is it illegal to take someone else's medicine that was prescribed to them?
It is illegal. Perhaps more importantly, though, it could be dangerous for you. The other person's prescription was put together especially for them. The dosage was put together according to their height and weight, to their medical history and needs. If you (for example) took a friend's medicine, it may not even be appropriate to what your condition is. You may have an adverse reaction to it that, because you haven't seen a doctor beforehand who knows *your* history and *your* condition, may have disastrous consequences.
Good luck and be careful,

I have a problem with my boyfriend touching me 'down there.' We have been going out for 3 years now, we have had sex and all and I am still afraid to let him touch me down there or even see me down there. But I have a very good reason, I was molested at the age 5-6 years old, I have told my boyfriend this because he has asked me numerous times if that was the reason so I finally gave in and told him the truth. Now he knows, but he still tries to touch me there even though I have told him it makes me uncomfortable and I am not ready for that yet. I have always been shy about it, when he tries to touch me there it turns me off and it brings back memories of being molested. My question is how can I overcome this? And why does my boyfriend keep trying to go down there even when he knows, and when he does I push his hand away and he sort of seems mad and doesn't get it but sometimes he acts like he does get it, so I am not sure why he keeps doing this?
I'm so sorry that happened to you, sweetie. No one should have to go through anything like that.
I was molested when I was little. When I became sexually active, there were ways I couldn't stand to be touched. That lasted, to be honest, for many, many years. I would feel dirty when I was touched in certain ways... especially when my breasts were touched. I hated it. It made me feel like I was doing something wrong.
When I met the man who would become my husband, I was still feeling the same way. I still couldn't stand to be touched in certain ways. Whenever he tried to touch me in those ways, what I have come to call my 'demons' would rear their heads and I would retreat and go back to feeling like I was doing something wrong.
He and I talked about what happened to me. I told him everything I remembered. I made an effort to remember that this man wasn't the one who hurt me. I decided to stop letting my demons have power over me. I couldn't have done it without his love and patience. He was careful not to go to fast. He paid close attention to my reactions to things we were doing and if he saw or sensed a negative reaction, he would stop and we would talk about it.
There are still times when I feel wrong for something we're doing. When that happens, we take time and work through it.
This is part of how I'm getting past the way I react. I'm also in counseling to try to work through other parts of what happened. Now, I won't lend out my husband :) But counseling can do wonders if you give it an honest chance. The hardest part is learning to trust your counselor... at least it was for me.
You have something going for you that I didn't have. You know why you feel the way you do. I took me a long time to realize that. I envy that about you, I have to say (if that doesn't sound too wrong). I spent years actually thinking that it was me and that I was dirty and bad for doing what I was doing... never knowing that it was my past and not me.
Hun, I don't know why he's being the way he is. Maybe he just doesn't understand how it hurts you to remember... to be reminded. Tell him. Tell him how much it hurts to remember... to be reminded in that way. If he truly cares about you, he will be patient. If he wants you to be happy, he will learn to understand. Maybe a guy can better answer about why he's being the way he is.
Stay strong, sweetie, and remember... you are not alone.
Big hugs,

for some reason,i forget to eat and drink during the day. i have no earges doing the day, dont jump to conculsions i still eat and drink just not enough. somtimes i find myself at night remembering that i havent ate or drank. and i actully have to try to drink. is there anything wrong with me or am i just worrying for nothing.
I sometimes have times when eating or drinking slip my mind. I get terribly busy and eating and drinking gets pushed down on the priority list, though not on purpose. Sometimes, I'm just not hungry or thirsty. I sometimes won't even realize it's happening. I generally have to make a point, everyday, of thinking to myself, 'Did I eat enough to day?'
I have to be very careful about letting this happen. When I was much younger I had an episode where this happened. I think I hadn't eaten for three days or so. What finally happened was this... I was standing outside my Grandmother's door asking her a question. I passed out. On the way to the floor, I hit my head on a table that was in the hallway. I was taken to the ER, and given IV fluids because I was terribly dehydrated.
It could have been much worse... I could have been going up or down stairs when it happened. I could have been out somewhere where no one knew me. I could have landed on a concrete sidewalk, instead of on a carpeted floor.
I'm really not trying to scare you. I'm just trying to let you know that you're not alone and to be careful. Take some time out of everyday to ask yourself if you've eaten that day. I know it might be difficult, but if you have to make yourself eat... do it.
Talk to your folks. Try talking to your family doctor. There may be some underlaying cause for your not eating that they may be able to tell you about.
Good luck,

i know this sounds childesh, but my mom gave me a puppy for my birthday and theres just one problem. she wants to have him fixed. and i dont want to have him fixed. it will hurt him and think it's his choice to reoproduce or not. but my mom says he'll be less aggresive and then she had the nerve to tell me it's her house and what she says go's. i dont want to have him fixed but my mom's being a total bitch. how do i convince my mom that it's unfair to fix a dog, and he's mine not hers.
It is your mom's house. What she says should go. I'm sorry if you don't like that, but until you can live on your own, that's just a fact of life.
Now, on the puppy front... I've read that it's good for a dog to be fixed. Yes, it may hurt a bit now, even though they do use anesthesia on the pup. But in the long run, it could save them pain and possibly save their lives.
A few links for you to peruse...

The most important issue here should be the pup and his health and well being. Do some research, talk to some veterinarians about the pros and cons of having the pup fixed, contact your local branch of the ASPCA (I'm sure they'll be more than happy to give you some information).
If you love that pup, you'll find out what's best for him and do it, even if it means agreeing with your mother.

well for my year 9 school formal we are having the theme... 80's retro recycle...so im not really sure what 2 wear? like i want 2 wear a dress but like what style goes with that theme, i have no idea about fashion so some help would be appriciated.. just a few suggestions!! thanks xo
Easiest answer? Watch a few old Molly Ringwold movies. 'Pretty in Pink' is a good one... she's heading off to prom and throughout the movie you'll see a lot of different 80's styles.
Geez, now I have to go rent that one.
*fights off urge to go retro and start buying rubber braclets and fingerless lace gloves in bulk*

ok so i went to take a pregnancy test today..i read the box which said to pee on the test for 5 seconds..me being the idiot i am..i peed on the cap..im all new at this so i had no clue there was a cap! i dipped the test in the toilet..and it came out negative..im thinking this isnt accurate because of all the water in the toilet..am i right or is it still ok to trust the negative?
You're going to have to take the test again, sorry.
Also, you don't have to pee on the stick. You can pee in a cup and dip the stick into your sample. There should be directions included with the test that tell you how long to dip the stick for.
Good luck,
bound
Edited to add: My husband and I started trying to conceive in January of this year. When March came around and it should have been my time of the month, but wasn't, I took a home pregnancy test. Included with the test was directions of how to pee in a cup instead of on the stick. I used this method because I didn't think I could have managed to hit the stick without getting a bit too messy for my tastes.
The test came up positive, as did the one I took the next day... just to make sure. A few days later the doc confirmed the positive results.
Peeing into the cup then dipping the stick, really isn't any different from holding the stick in your urine stream.
Anyway... Good luck!

ok well its been like to weeks sense ive had ex an we didnt use a condum an im afraid that im pregnnet im not going to get a pregnecie test because i have reasons why, but i know the syptoms but , could you not know your pregnat for like 3 weeks i mean when i go to the bath room i have white stuff on my underware an idk my friend told me thats because im pregnat an idk i just need help .. i know i shouldnt have had sex im a really goodi girl so dont judge my parents are into polotics , an if they found out that i was they would shio me off to bording school or somthing even worse so please help me??
I'm five months pregnant. I didn't know for sure that I was pregnant until I was about 5-6 weeks along. Most women don't know for sure until they're at least 4-5 weeks along. Most home pregnancy tests aren't reliable until your period is due, or a couple of days before. So, yes, you could be pregnant and not know for 3 weeks.
Before I became pregnant, I would have an occasional discharge. Since I've been pregnant, there's hardly been any. Discharge is sometimes, unfortunately, a part of being a woman. It stinks, but it's so. It doesn't necessarily mean that you're pregnant.
I will not judge you for having sex. I will tell you that pregnancy is not the only thing that you are protecting against when you use condoms. When you have unsafe sex, you are potentially opening yourself up to some serious diseases. Just something to think about.
One more thing... I don't know how young you are. I know that when I was a teenager my period was unpredictable. I wasn't on a regular schedule with it until I'd had it for a few years... and even then, when it would come wasn't entirely predictable. Remember that when it's time for your period to come along again.
Good luck,

Well, things at home are not good for me. They haven't been for years, no I don't get abused or anything but I'm just not happy living here. I hate my living enviroment, and I really want to move out. I talked to my two best friends about it and they're really not happy with their familes either so we want to work as much as we can all of this school year and then next summer move in together (we have all of money problems figured out). Two of us would be 16 and one 17. My question is, what is the law for teenagers living together by themselves? We live in NJ and someone told me that you just need an adult to sign for you. Is that true? Anything is appreacited! Thanks.
Well, hello, fellow Jersey-ite!
There are a few obstacles you have in your way.
The biggest is that you can not enter into a legally binding contract if you're under 18, unless you're emancipated. In order to be emancipated you'd have to go before the court and prove to them that you are able to be finacially responsible for yourself (pay your bills, buy your food, take care of yourself).
Even if you are able to become emancipated, you still have to face the obstacle of your age. You may be very hard pressed to find anyone willing to rent to people who are still in their teens.

I have been having a headache every night for the past week. I listen to music often, but I have always listened to music alot. I get them out of nowhere. I take excederin. Why do I keep getting headaches and how do I get rid of them?
Some things you might want to consider as possible causes... yes, if your period is on it's way, that may be a cause (that is assuming you're a girl).
You may also need to see about getting glasses or getting your prescription updated. I know when I need to get new glasses, I tend to get a lot more headaches than usual.
It may be that you've been having more tension and stress in your life than you're used to and that could be a cause. Relaxation, meditation, some deep breathing... these seem to help when I get stress headaches.
I know that sometimes when I need to eat and haven't done it in a timely fashion, I get headaches. Maybe a snack would help.
I listen to music often, as well. I don't think I get headaches from it. However, I know that when I have a headache or the beginning of one, the music tends to agitate it.
A few things that work for my headaches... I've always taken Ibuprofen for my headaches. I've read and heard that headaches are an inflammation in the brain. Ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory. It can work wonders for my headaches. Sometimes, though, we'll be out of Ibu. or I just don't want to take any. (I'm not fond of taking medications if I can get around it.) A nice dark, quiet room and some good rest may help. A cool cloth on your forehead, may help. One rememdy that works for me is to take some Vaporub (you can use Vick's but discount brands work, too), put a little smear across your forehead, across the nape of your neck and behind your ears. It might sound a bit nuts, but I've gotten some monster headaches that this has taken care of.
Finally, if the headaches beging to interfere with your daily life on a regular basis, the pain becomes simply too much to bear, or the headaches are accompanied by other symptoms (eg. nausea, dizzyness, blurred vision) see your doctor immediately.
I hope you feel better, Sweetie.

would it be considered taboo.. or incest for me to date my brothers fiances sister? i mean there is no blood connection.. hmm please help.. i dont knwo what to do
Dictionary.com defines incest as, "relations between persons who are so closely related that their marriage is illegal or forbidden by custom."
Firstly, you aren't related to this person yet, even by marriage. Secondly, when your brother gets married, you will only be related to his sister-in-law by marriage and not by blood. All this to say that it's not incest.
There was a situation in my family that was simliar to this one. My Auntie and Uncle met and got married. At about the same time my Mother (Auntie's little sister) and my Father (Uncle's little brother) met and, soon after, got married. No one in the family had a problem with it, and because of it the family tree gained three new sprouts (myself and my two cousins).
If you like her, you feel comfortable with it and it doesn't cause trouble in your family, persue it. If it were me, I'd just take care to take into consideration how it's affecting the rest of the family... you don't want to cause tension between your brother and his fiancee.
Good luck,

What age do you think a girl should be to go to a gyno? Not for birth control, just for health check ups? Thanks!
My daughter will be going for the first time soon. She just turned 16.
I just had surgerey earlier like at 10:45, and had anastesia. My dad and I were supposed to go to another city quite a few miles away. Do you think that I could go? We would go at like 7 or 8 tonight. Oh, did I mention we're going on his motorcycle? Yea, we are. So..do you think this would be alright? I need answers as soon as possible. Thanks
***Jess***♥
It depends on what sort of anesthesia was used, what type of surgery it was, and what type of motorcycle it is.
Now, I don't know about the sugery or anesthesia.
I do know a bit about bikes. My Better Half and I have a Harley Davidson Road King Classic. It is a comfortable bike for me. At the moment I'm five months pregnant and having no trouble at all when we ride. Our bike has a pretty cushy seat and a large backrest behind my seat. If I had some type of sugery I doubt I would be riding.
You have to take into consideration what sort of ride the bike provides. Is it a smooth ride? Can you sit comfortable when you ride? Our bike has an air suspension, so it's a nice smooth ride. I can also tell you that it' super comfortable... to the point that I've actually fallen asleep on long rides.
The ulitmate answer, though, isn't going to come from anyone here. It's going to come from your doctor and your Dad, but mainly your Dad. Ask your Dad to speak with your doc and see what he/she says. Ask your Dad what he thinks. He's going to be making the final decision on the ride and whether you get to go. Just be completely honest about any pain or effects from the anesthesia you are having. If you try to deceive your Dad in order to be able to go along for the ride, you could really put both yourself and him in danger.

I found black stuff on my tooth brush, that I keep in the shower. I use it ever night, and so I know it didn't just grow there. I had used it less that 24 hours before I saw the black stuff. Am I being poisoned, or is there anouther explanation?
It may just be some mold or mildew from the shower. If it didn't have time to grow, maybe it came off the shower, somehow, and onto your toothbrush. Either way? Definitely time to get a new one.
what are the first signs of being pregnant, and when will they appear?
The "what" have been pretty thoroughly covered. As for the when... I'm five months pregnant right now. My first symptoms appeared when I was only about 5 weeks along, before we even knew that I was pregnant. The first symptom I experienced was morning sickness (which can atually come at any time of day). Three days later I missed my first period and the next day a home test showed up positive.
Good luck and, please, feel free to ask anything further,

i hate haveing hair down there so i was going to shave it but my friend said that doctors dont want you to because your not suppose to. i dont know what to do i don't want to ask my mom but then again i want to shave there badly i need help!

shaving down there
Not everyone shaves, but it is an ok thing to do. Men and women both do it regularly, my Better Half (man) and myself (all girl, thanks) for example.
I use the Gilette Mach 3 razor for both of us. I also use the Skintimate shave gel. Make sure your razor isn't dull. The first few times there were some red bumps that were a pain, so be prepared for that. It will also probably itch (sometimes a lot) as it grows back when you first start. But I've been doing it for a while now, and the itching really isn't a problem anymore.
If you choose to use a depilatory cream (veet, nair, and the like) be very careful when you use them. This is a very sensitive area we're talking about. If you leave them on for too long, there is the chance that you could have a slight burn or irritation. Also be very careful not to get them to close to your vaginal opening (assuming you're a girl). Imagine the slight burn and irritation being an internal event. That's something you just don't want to have happen.
This is a site that's has some helpful tips, http://www.pubicshave.com/
I have never heard any doctor come out against any kind of shaving.

ok someone hacked onto my neopets account and is using it and i want to hack back into it ( they chaged the password and email) so how can i do that
First, an official quote from Neopets... "Contrary to what many people claim, no one has ever hacked into Neopets, accessed user information, accounts or usernames. The ONLY means by which a user can have an account stolen is when they inadvertently or intentionally gives away their pässword." That quote can be found at http://www.neopets.com/chatrules.phtml
You might want to check out the noyouwerenothacked's pet page for some ways that you may have been tricked without knowing it.
Now, if you have any way to get back into the account, do it. Change that password and your e-mail address immediately. If you can't get back into the account, try putting your e-mail address into the login page to have to password sent to you. Maybe the person in your account hasn't thought to change the e-mail address yet. If that doesn't work, try e-mailing TNT and seeing what they can do about it.
Good luck, sweetie. I would hate to lose my account.
Oh, and for the record, Neopets was created for, and by ,bored college students and is now a site for all ages.
Crossing my fingers for you,
bound (33, Neopets player since October 2001)
My boyfriend fingered me a couple days ago and now, 5 days after my period has ended I am bleeding very slightly (I can only notice when I wipe) and when I pee it stings a little. What does this mean?
It's possible that your boyfriend scratched you when he was fingering you. My Better Half had been fingering me, I had some bleeding and it wasn't my period (that had been and gone not long before this). I called my OB/GYN and, after describing the bleeding and what I had been doing, was told that he had probably scratched or nicked me inside.
In the future, you might want to make sure any fingernails that enter you (yours, his, whoever's) aren't jagged at all and aren't too sharp. That might cut down your chances of this happening in the future.
If the bleeding continues for much longer or gets heavier or if the pain doesn't let up or gets any worse than stinging a bit, your best bet would be to call a doctor.
Good luck and I hope you feel better,
bound
