There is something wrong you can't forget to at least drink something during the day it is very important so what you could do is write yourself a reminder on a little post it note that you need to drink something as well as eat something. And to find out why go to the doctor he'll know exactly what is going on.

I sometimes have times when eating or drinking slip my mind. I get terribly busy and eating and drinking gets pushed down on the priority list, though not on purpose. Sometimes, I'm just not hungry or thirsty. I sometimes won't even realize it's happening. I generally have to make a point, everyday, of thinking to myself, 'Did I eat enough to day?'

I have to be very careful about letting this happen. When I was much younger I had an episode where this happened. I think I hadn't eaten for three days or so. What finally happened was this... I was standing outside my Grandmother's door asking her a question. I passed out. On the way to the floor, I hit my head on a table that was in the hallway. I was taken to the ER, and given IV fluids because I was terribly dehydrated.

It could have been much worse... I could have been going up or down stairs when it happened. I could have been out somewhere where no one knew me. I could have landed on a concrete sidewalk, instead of on a carpeted floor.

I'm really not trying to scare you. I'm just trying to let you know that you're not alone and to be careful. Take some time out of everyday to ask yourself if you've eaten that day. I know it might be difficult, but if you have to make yourself eat... do it.

Talk to your folks. Try talking to your family doctor. There may be some underlaying cause for your not eating that they may be able to tell you about.

Good luck,
bound

ScratchesOnTheWall answered Thursday August 25 2005, 5:42 am:
Probably best to go to see your doctor just to rule out any hormonal problems.

That said, I get this sometimes and the less I eat, the less hungry I seem to be. Sometimes it can be your body playing tricks on you, thinking that sinc4e it's not going to get food, it should supress hunger pangs. try setting an alarm three times a day reminding you to eat something. It doesn't matter how small it is at first-if this has been going on for a while you're going to need to train your body back into a routine of eating. Eventually you should find that your body begins wanting food at these times of day.

As for drinking, keep a bottle somewhere you go a lot (e.g.: in your bag) and every time you go there, take a drink.

If there's nothing physically wrong with you, these things should help.

If you think there is something wrong with you, try the doctors. if not just write a note to tell yourself to eat and drink more. stick it where you would see it everyday. hope i helped.

I suggest that you go see a doctor if you're worried. Of course, may be it's really just that you forget, but if you're not hungry at all it could be a hormonal problem or something like that.
