For English, I have to relate the themes in the novel "Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austen to the my last book report/presentation, which is "The Phantom of the Opera" by Gaston Leroux. The problem is that the two books couldn't be more different in theme.
"Phantom" is a Gothic novel with themes like dangerous jealousy and hopeless love (Erik's hopeless love for Christine). It follows the life of a despairing madman.
Jane Austen's novel is a light comedy that focuses on, well, pride and prejudice. No diversity issues like in "Phantom" (except that Darcy is a mega-rich landlord and Elizabeth is a middle class girl in the countryside, but that's not comparable with the Phantom) and nothing extrordinarily dramatic that "plumbs the depths of a man's soul" or anything.
But this is my only option. Can anyone at least try to think of some comparisons in theme? (link)

Well "prejudice" can be a theme can't it? How horribly the phantom was treated. "Love", can that fit in at all?
To be quite honest, I have only seen the movie and play of The Phantom of the Opera and only saw parts of the movie Pride and Prejudice. But I can image it is tough, you can't relate any other books instead? Or do something like www.pinkmonkey.com and compare?

i really love acting and drama but i'm definitely not a good singer. i actually want to have some career in theater. i just need to know: do ALL auditions require you to sing? or do some just have you act? dont say you should take singing lessons because i dont believe its possible for you to sing better if you naturally are bad. It depends what you try out for, if its not a musical, obviously you wont have to sing, if you want to try out for a musicle, but just as an "extra" or something, talk to the producers of the show.

Being raped is no joke. People should believe you, before you tell friends, tell someone like your parents, or your school counselor, and answer whatever they ask, they can get you help and keep this guy away from you, and prevent this from happening to others.

Well anything salvation army or thrift store by you would have some cute cheap unique clothes.
theres www.delias.com (i love delias), www.oldnavy.com, www.target.com, www.kohls.com, www.walmart.com,...as of right now thats all i can think of that would be "cheap".

Proactiv, Neutrogena, Biore..there are a lot of products, but those three are my favorite.
Biore being my first choice
also OxyPads work well.
In the movie "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" they said that windex works...I dont know if thats true for everyone, but i must say it worked for me, lol.
Most stores carry Biore and Neutrogena, but i believe you have to order proactiv

Why does she not want you to get it?
Sometimes the best things come to those who wait, and there isnt anything wrong with that. She may be protecting you by wanting you to wait.
If you really want it now, prove to her that you are smart, and responsible, and that you don't do stupid things like the typical Paris Hilton wannabees. She is probably afraid of that, and that may be why she wants you to to wait...protecting you. You are going to to have to prove yourself too her though. Do extra chores, be nicer, dont talk back, do things when first told too..etcetera. whether you like it or not, its something everyone has to learn to deal with, specially when it comes time to get a job..lol.
really though, what is the harm in waiting, other than everyone else has it now?
just be your own person, and be respectful to others decisions. like wanting you to wait to get your belly button pierced

I think i might have OCD
-Ive got a habit of washing my hands after everything or whenever touching something. Even when im by a sink i wash them.
-If a word comes into my head, i have to say it otherwise i panic, no word in particular just anything.
-I brush my hair every 5 minutes.
-I look in the mirror all the time
-If somethings out of place i have to move it back.
-I have to double check everything like make sure the doors are shut.
-When i touch something i have to touch it with my other hand aswell so its equal.

Everyone has a little OCD as far as I'm concerned. Sounds like you may have it, but not too serverly, I would talk to a psychologist/school counselor, to see if they can help you in any way.
Also, try to learn to maintain self-control. When you feel the need to do something, tell yourself that "it's fine" or something similar.

I may be pregnant but I dont know for sure.
I am moody all the time but I hide it.
My last period was eregular.
The pill is my protection but u can still get pregnant with the pill.
We have been together over one year.
He thinks I may try to get pregnant without telling him.
Should I worry him wiht me so he can support me?
Should I wait untill my next period to find out for sure?

Being moody and an irregular period doesnt exactly mean you are pregnant. Yes in some cases women can get pregnant on the pill, but thats rare, and usually because they dont take it like they should (much like what younggrandma said.
Take a test.
If it is positive tell your boyfriend, and your parents, and call a Doctor.

Well, since you two *just* started going out, it may take a little bit before he starts telling you he loves you. What you should is follow your heart.
Sometimes just taking a break from guys in general is a good idea to help clear up your mind about what you want, and what you are looking for. And in my honest opinion, that is what I would do...just take a short break until you can clear your mind and decide , and who knows...maybe someone better will come along.

A lot of times couples will take breaks, just to see..or because they need space, a lot of times they get back together, other times they dont. If you have been together for 4 months, and wants to take a break, depending on how old you two are, I'd say it sounds like you 2 might get back together unless one of you find something new, which I wouldn't worry about. If you two dont get back together, you'll find something better. =)

ohkay so i have naturally wavy hair, the only thing i can do with my hair is straighten it, i really want to be able to like scrunch it or curl it, does anyone have any ideas on like a mouse or spray i can put in my hair as to where it will scrunch or curl easier (( please not expensive!!))

sometimes if you straighten it, and then use mousse/hair pray (any kind really) to scrunch it, that works.
(i have the same kind of hair as you do..)
but honestly i think you should ask a cosmetologist what products would work, and some ideas.

hey okay i got kind of a problem here well i was supposed to see a guy that i like who is 14/m who will be turning 15 soon and iam f/16 and i wrote him a letter and stuff put it in envpole and now i can't give it to him because i can't see him on monday because i have soccer. Iam really pissed i've always wanted him to have that letter and i talked to my mom about it and she siad if i don't get a chance seeing him agian i should send the letter through e-mail and i don't know thats right or not because iam like getting all pissed and don't know what to do!!

Teachers do interferre, usually for protection and making sure you are safe. Our amendment rights are very weak in school to make sure we are safe. I dont know if there are "rules" anywhere that says they cant, they usually do this for the better. If it bothers you you would have to tell them probably

I really like proactiv. Sometimes it brings out zits/pimples, but the go away quickly and dont usually come back.
If you dont want to rish that use products by Biore or Neutrogena. I love them lol

I just made my schools volleyball team this past week. (We had conditioning and try outs 2 weeks before)
Well ever since we started try-outs I've been eating more! I eat like 2 dinners; After breakfast (while I'm at school) I get so hungry, and even after lunch I'll get hungry in like an hour.
How can I prevent this, I don't wanna get fat!
