Laws

Question Posted Friday March 10 2006, 4:49 pm

Are there any laws about teachers and schools getting into your personal life? Or things you do outside of school?

Not like drugs or anything.. just getting into your personal life.

If there are can you please tell me what they are and what states they apply to?

Thank you sooo much if you can help me with this.

No, there are no laws about teachers and schools interfering with students' personal lives. But it doesnt mean its not wrong, because it is. it's just a matter of them and their 'nosey-ness.'

it depends on what your doing and if they think its bad enough to get into. this is not a rule and it does apply in all states.

I don't think that there are any laws about that. All teachers get into everyones personal life and one point or another. If there is abuse going on it's their job to report it. In my school, xanga and peoples blogs was a big deal. All the teachers got involved and they were making it a big deal because some people had threats on there and such and they all said it was for our protection. They are very nosy and if something doesn't seem right they will probablly report that news to someone. I'm not really sure about what states and such but I don't think it's a law though.

Teachers do interferre, usually for protection and making sure you are safe. Our amendment rights are very weak in school to make sure we are safe. I dont know if there are "rules" anywhere that says they cant, they usually do this for the better. If it bothers you you would have to tell them probably
